Liam Payne ‘Sorry’ For Balcony Photo, Asks People To Stop Coming to His House

Liam Payne is filled with a bit of “regret” after a photo of him surfaced on Twitter standing on the edge of a sky-high balcony in London this past weekend.

The One Direction member took to Twitter on Tuesday, apologizing for the photo, which was reportedly published by one of Payne’s friends and has since been deleted. It gave fans “mini heart attacks” as they feared for his safety.

“You may have seen a photo of me today taken on top of a building. I regret being there and having a photo taken,” Payne tweeted, before continuing. “It was a stupid and irresponsible thing to do. I am sorry, and do not endorse any fans trying to repeat this, as it is extremely dangerous.

Payne, along with the rest of the members of 1D, have been enjoying some time off following a whirlwind year that included a world tour and their #1 album, Midnight Memories.

It seems Payne hasn’t been getting the privacy that he has needed before getting back on the road for the boy bands Where We Are Tour, which kicks off in April. He tweeted a request for privacy before the balcony scandal.

“I’d just like to be able to walk outside as everyone does and enjoy time with my friends, not feel bad for not wanting to take a picture,” he said. “Sorry if I’ve been rude to anyone but I’ve come to realise if I take one picture more people keep coming everyday xxx hope everyone’s good.”
