Ed Sheeran is going literal with the title of the first single from his upcoming album. “Sing.” Yup, that’s the title of the tune that he will debut at 7:30 p.m. (BST) on Monday (2:30 p.m. ET) on British DJ Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio show.
While we haven’t heard the song yet, former British boy band singer and TV presenter Marvin Humes said he has and, well, it’s “VERY good.”
Sheeran, who recently granted a dying fan’s wish by singing “Little Bird” to her as she breathed her last, said “Sing” will go on sale on Monday night everywhere except the UK, Ireland, Germany and Australia.
Sheerios take heart, though, as Ed promised that those territories will have an EP within the month. “Just the way that the countries radio’s work,” he explained. “But you’ll get a full EP of cool s— further down the line.”
Sheers were, obviously, super-stoked to finally get any news about the upcoming album.
