Patrick Stewart Admits There’s One Thing He’s Scared Of

Patrick Stewart has faced the wrath of the Borg, Magneto and countless other enemies.

But there is one thing that still scares him.

“I can tell you, I am scared about tomorrow night,” Stewart about the premiere of his new movie “Match” at the Tribeca Film Festival. “I’ve never had a movie in a festival or a cinema in which I have been the principal character around which the film hangs.”

That’s pretty surprising for such an accomplished actor, but Stewart has done most of his best-known work in ensembles, like the “Star Trek” or “X-Men” franchises. But in “Match,” Steward leads the cast as an ex-choreographer with a secret past.

“I know what the film is. I know what it’s like, how it works,” he said. “I don’t know what people will make of it, and I will find out, but find out when there’s nothing I can do about it either way.”

Stewart was so nervous that he said he even emailed co-stars Carla Gugino and Matthew Lillard and asked if he could hold their hands through the premiere, which, yes, just adds to his Internet adorability.

Don’t worry, Patrick! The premiere will be amazing. We promise (and we’ll gladly hold your hand during it).
