After a severe allergic reaction landed her in the hospital, Miley Cyrus has been forced to push back all of the U.S. dates on her Bangerz Tour to August.
Eleven shows in total have been pushed back, including stops in Charlotte, Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis and Pittsburgh, as Cyrus remains in the hospital. Her European dates — which are slated to kick off on May 2 in Amsterdam — will not be affected, according to a statement on her website.
The “Adore You” singer first started feeling under the weather around April 7, forcing her to call off her Charlotte, North Carolina show.
In a note posted on Thursday, Miley clarified what exactly landed her in the hospital on Tuesday, forcing her to cancel her show in Kansas City, Missouri.
“Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour. She was prescribed the antibiotic Cephalexin which shes now suffered an extreme allergic reaction to. This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases. She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor’s care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time.”
