J. Cole’s second mixtape, The Warm Up, was released five years ago, in June 2009, and the Roc Nation rapper is celebrating that anniversary with his second annual Dollar & A Dream tour.
The Warm Up included Cole’s big single “Lights Please,” which he cited as the track that really caught Jay Z’s ear and finally landed him a record deal, so it only makes sense that he wants to celebrate. The new tour dates will be dedicated to exclusively performing the 22-track mixtape in full.
Dates have not been announced as yet, but the tour is expected to hit major cities across the U.S. The new jaunt will follow 2013’s Dollar & A Dream tour, which touched down in the U.S. and Canada, with venues announced on show day, for an admission fee of only $1.
According to a tweet from Cole, which included a tour flyer, this set of dates is expected to kick off during the summer.
He made an appearance on Twitter early Tuesday morning to announce the tour and also give a shout out to his first Dreamville signee, Bas, who’s getting ready to drop his Last Winter LP.
