Watch Chance The Rapper Cover The ‘Arthur’ Theme Song

At the Sasquatch! festival in Washington, Chance the Rapper took a break from his set to cover the children’s cartoon theme song from “Arthur.”

If you’re not familiar/not a ’90s kid, the show is about eight year old aardvark named Arthur Read, who has adventures with his family and friends.

The cartoon is one of the longest running shows of its kind on PBS, just behind “Sesame Street.” The original theme song was recorded by Ziggy Marley and The Melody Makers; but for his take, Chance embellished the funky reggaeton feel, crashing cymbals and invoking the audience to chime, “every day it could be wonderful.”

We’re not sure the crowd actually realized what Chance was covering, but that didn’t stop them from swaying along to the lyrics of, “And I say Hey/What a wonderful kind of day/To learn to work and play/And get along with each other.”
