Nick Cannon To Make Directorial Debut With ‘School Dance’

From the small to the silver, Nick Cannon‘s taking over all your screens this summer. Not only can you watch the new season of “Wild ‘N Out,” premiering July 2 at 11/10c, but you can also hit up your local movie theater to see the comedic genius’ directorial debut, “School Dance,” the SAME day! Call it a two-for-one Cannon special.

Comingsoon.net just released the trailer for the film, which features a few familiar faces from Nick’s MTV2 family. “Ain’t That America” host Lil Duval and former “WNO” cast member Katt Williams are among those set to appear in the R-rated comedy about an unpopular teen (Bobb’e J. Thompson) who tries out for his school’s dance team in order to impress the hot chick (Melissa Molinaro). Comedy kings Kevin Hart and George Lopez also round out the hilarious cast.

Although Nick’s no stranger to starring in teen rom-coms, the “Drumline” actor chose to step behind the cameras and into the director’s chair this time around. Watch your back, Spielberg, because there’s clearly nothing this guy can’t do.

Check out the teaser, and catch the movie in theaters, VOD or digital HD July 2.
