‘Game Of Thrones’ Actor Lands Role In Netflix Drama Series

This should mend the broken hearts of all you Pedro Pascal fans: less than a week after his Red Viper rather ceremoniously exited “Game of Thrones,” Deadline has revealed that the actor will appear in the upcoming Netflix drama series “Narcos.”

The show focuses on infamous Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar (played by Wagner Moura) and the Mexican DEA agent sent to capture him (Pascal) – it’s based on true events, and focuses on the rise of cocaine trafficking in the U.S. and Europe.

Netflix has already ordered a full season (that’s 10 episodes of Pascal goodness for you, folks) and the project is being directed by José Padilha (fresh off the “RoboCop” remake), who is executive producing along with “Children of Men” producer Eric Newman.

You’ll have to wait until early 2015 to catch Pascal in his role, but at least it gives you something to look forward to as you replay that last scene of “The Mountain and the Viper” while sobbing and babbling incoherently about your long-lost Prince of Dorne.
