Will Robin Thicke’s ‘Get Her Back’ Video Work On Paula Patton?

Robin Thicke’s quest to win back estranged wife Paula Patton continues today (June 23) with the release of “Get Her Back,” a vulnerable piece of work that leaves the “Blurred Lines” singer bloodied and alone by video’s end.

As Thicke swirls through a series of emotional states — from defeated to enraged — some highly personal text messages flash onscreen, like “I kept trying to warn you you were pushing me too far…” and “I don’t even know who you are.” Refusing to throw in the towel, Thicke texts back with “This is just the beginning,” and then the screen goes white.

Just the beginning, eh? While we’ll just have to wait to see what moves Thicke has plotted next, we do know that his seventh studio album, Paula, drops on July 1. Lead single “Get Her Back” isn’t the only track inspired by Patton if the track list — containing songs titles like “Love Can Grow Back” and “Still Madly Crazy” — is any indication.
