Foxes’ ‘Glorious’ Video: For Those Who Like Their Creepy Candy-Coated

What do you get when you cross the candy-coated, retro-pastel visuals of “The Stepford Wives” and “Edward Scissorhands” with a gently warbling electro-ballad? Foxes’ new video for “Glorious,” apparently.

Oh, and in case you’re drawing a blank on where you know her from, Foxes provided the vocals on that massively huge, entirely inescapable Zedd track, “Clarity.” Maybe you’ve heard it before? Trick question: EVERYONE HAS.

Released on July 6, the clip for the title track off of the British singer-songwriter’s debut album sees her lounging poolside in a repressed town called “Glorious.” To call this country-club setting unsettling and sterile is definitely an understatement. It’s simultaneously romantic and on the verge of social implosion. If you told me that zombie apocalypse struck this idyllic scene just moments after “Glorious” ends, I’d believe you. Anyway, check it out below.
