After Separation, Robin Thicke Cancels Show Due To ‘Unforeseen Circumstances’

Robin Thicke is feeling sick. The “Blurred Lines” singer cancelled his third show in a row on Tuesday (February 25), less than 24 hours after announcing that he was separating from his wife
 of nine years, Paula Patton.

Thicke was slated to kick off his North American tour last week, but cancelled the first two dates, in Atlanta on Friday and in Orlando on Saturday, citing vocal issues. “I never want to let down my fans but I have unfortunately lost my voice and cannot perform tomorrow night,” he said in a statement released last Thursday.

He postponed Tuesday night’s show at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino in Cherokee, North Carolina, due to “unforeseen circumstances,” according to the venue. The next date on the tour is a Thursday show at the Patriot Center at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

Thicke and Patton, parents to 3-year-old son Julian Fuego, announced on Monday that they were splitting in a statement, which read, “We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.”

A spokesperson for Thicke could not be reached for comment at press time on the postponed dates.
