Ariana Grande And Big Sean’s ‘Right There’: Listen To The ’90s Throwback!

Ariana Grande is inching closer to the September 3 release of her debut album, Yours Truly. And with less than a month away, she is giving fans another taste of the album by releasing her collaboration with Big Sean,

She’s previously told MTV News the release would include ’90s throwback jams, and this track is definitely one of them thanks to a sample of Lil Kim’s 1996 single “Crush On You.”

The track is as easy breezy as what we’ve already heard from the album. While she said the release would be split between ’90s throwback jams and “something that I’ve created that’s sort of special and unique,” the Big Sean collaboration falls into the former category thanks to a sample of Lil Kim’s 1996 single “Crush On You.”

She previously dubbed the song “kind of like the sequel to ‘The Way,'” and that certainly does feel like a fitting description given that, again, Grande’s vocals soar over a flirty beat. “Boy, you make me feel so lucky/ Finally the stars align,” she sings.

Sean comes in and out of the track, spitting lines like, “If it all fell through, would you catch me before the pavement?/ If my Benz turned back to public transportation, would you still be at home for me with the candles waiting?”

The album is now available for pre-order, and on Tuesday, the confirmed Yours Truly track list hit iTunes. In addition to previously confirmed collaborations with Mac Miller on her single and the Wanted’s Nathan Sykes on the track list also revealed she worked with British pop singer Mika.

Before the album drops, Grande will open for Justin Bieber on three dates of his Believe Tour, starting Wednesday (August 7), before she kicks off her own trek, The Listening Sessions, on August 13.
