It’s pretty safe to assume that if you’re a part of the 5SOSFam, then on November 15 and 16, you have some big plans.

That’s because the biggest convention of the year is going down: Derp Con 2014.

5 Seconds of Summer are going to be taking over the Forum in Inglewood, California, where they performed “Amnesia” at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, and are bringing in fans from around the world to get up-close and personal with the boys… maybe a little too close.

“It’s sort of like our little take on a comic convention sort of thing, but it’s all 5SOS-related, and we are flying a bunch of people across the world to meet in Inglewood, and they are going to go to the Forum show and stuff,” Michael said at the iHeart Radio Music Festival. “And we are going to give them all lap dances.”

I’m pretty sure everyone will now be entering for a chance to attend the convention, where they will “fight ninjas, Internet haters and join in some serious banding,” according to their website.

Their concerts at the Forum will mark the band’s biggest headlining shows yet and 5SOSFam can enter to win the chance to attend, represent their country and show the “rest of the world how awesome they are.”

Ever since I watched the teaser for Hilary Duff’s “All About You” video, I’ve literally been counting the minutes until the clip premieres — and trying to learn some of those dance moves.

Luckily for me, the wait is almost over as the video is set to drop on Wednesday (September 24), and we’ll finally get to see Hilary bring her folky pop track to life.

In the teaser, Hilary busts a move, waving around shirts and line-dancing with a group of ladies. But don’t expect this dance to turn super-scandalous, as Duff made sure the choreography was “more me.”

“The choreography was actually pretty easy, but it was a lot of rehearsals and I wanted to be so particular because I’m not, like, a dancer and I didn’t want to be, like, super-sexy time dancing,” Hilary told MTV News at the iHeartRadio Music Festival.

“I wanted something different about it that was more me. The choreographers were amazing and came up with a cool line dance.”

For the video, directed by “Chasing The Sun” mastermind Declan Whitebloom, Hilary decided to take on a “simple,” “cool” and “different” vibe, while still giving us a little bit of romance.

“The concept is, like, I meet a guy at a coffee shop, he drops a record and I pick up the record, and I kind of find him throughout the day. So, there is a little bit of a love story going on there,” Hilary ...

Finally! The 5SOS Amnesia EP is in our possession and on repeat for the rest of the week. But you know what? I need more.

Yes, I know it hasn’t even been 2 months since their debut album dropped, but if you are constantly monitoring their Instagram feed, like me, then you know that they have been in the studio recording some “NEW NEW stuff.” So, what’s the status?

We caught up with Michael, Calum, Luke and Ashton at the iHeart Radio Music Festival and they told us there have been attempts at writing some new material while they are out on the road supporting One Direction on their Where We Are Tour.

“We’ve been trying to, ‘trying’ is the key word,” Ashton said about writing new music. “We’ve been trying to fit it in. We’ve been so busy lately, but we are definitely feeling creative again and excited to write a second album.”

The guys, who are gearing up for their fan convention Derp Con in November, unfortunately won’t be releasing new music this year, but look for it in 2015, or in the year 2020, as Luke joked. “Our comeback album,” Ashton added.

But, here’s some good news for the 5SOS fam: Michael did say to be ready because they’ve got “some little stuff” popping up at the end of the year. Plus, they have plans to release another single off their self-titled album.

They gave us some sweet “Moments,” and told us all those lovely “Little Things,” and now One Direction and Ed Sheeran are ready to make sweet music together again.

1D and Ed both confirmed at the iHeart Radio Music festival that a Sheeran song is slated to appear on the group’s upcoming album, Four.

“I got a call from [Simon] Cowell the other day,” Ed said about the song being on the album. “But you never know, it might happen last minute where it’s taken off, like that’s how it works in this industry, so you never know.”

Back in June, during “Live From MTV,” Ed revealed that he wrote a “whole lot of songs” that were “completely different” for the guys, including a song that had a “stadium rock” sound.

Louis and Zayn from 1D told us that the song will be on the album, but we aren’t sure the big rock anthem was the one that made the cut, since Louis described it as “more slow then stadium rock.”

“The one that he wrote, more of a ballad,” Zayn said. “But I think we are going in that kind of lane. It sounds cool, we’ll take that.”

LAS VEGAS- Ed Sheeran may not have been targeted in the latest celebrity photo hack, but he knows what it feels like and it’s straight up “creepy.”

The “Don’t” singer was on hand at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Saturday, and defended those caught in the flurry of these scandals, because he at one point, was hacked as well.

“I think live and let live. I think people should be allowed to do what they want and it’s weird,” he said. “I’ve had my stuff hacked before and its just creepy.”

Nude pictures of Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens and more were posted on Reddit on Saturday, which follows the massive photo leaks that occurred earlier this month. This invasion of privacy has put some celebrities on guard, and in Ed’s case, it’s really weirded him out.

“I think invasion of privacy on that level is weird and sharing the photos is weird as well,” Ed said, “Because it’s different when it’s like a photo shoot for a magazine because it’s meant for the public if it’s an intimate thing and it’s meant for your partner so all of that stuff creeps me out the fact that everything is up in a cloud you can read it anytime, drunk text messages, videos you might send…”

LAS VEGAS- If you are a Directioner, then you are fully aware that in just about a week your ears will be filled with the sweet sounds of One Direction’s brand new single, “Steal My Girl.”

So what can we expect? Well, if you’re into an uptempo song that’s “feel good,” and “got a summer vibe to it,” then this song is totally meant for you, and I mean, who doesn’t love that?

“It’s quite a feel good song and it’s not too far away from the last album [Midnight Memories],” Louis told MTV News backstage at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Saturday. “I think its a good bridge record.”

Louis, who co-wrote the track with Liam, didn’t want to “spoil anything” about giving away the concept behind the single, but they did say that since they’ve taken a hand in writing “almost every song,” on their upcoming album, Four, that there is a true musical progression from their previous efforts.

“I think the main progression is the fact that we are writing more on the songs and we just wanted to make the lyric a little bit more mature,” Zayn said. “And just fit what our personal experiences were right now so thats how we kind of progressed the album right now.”

When things get a bit boring for 5SOS, be on the lookout, because clothes may just come off.

A few weeks ago, the guys posted a very cheeky photo, with the caption “rehearsal was getting boring.” Calum and Ashton are seen completely in the nude strategically covering up the goods with their guitars.

But this isn’t anything new for the guys, who, if you check their Instagram feed are pretty much always in their underwear, which is why they find it kind of funny that people are making such a big deal about the pic.

“We didn’t realize it was going to be a thing, we just were posting it,” Michael said to MTV News backstage at the iHeart Radio Music Festival before Luke added. “We didn’t think it was that scandalous, I feel like most of our photos are like that.”

Calum, who, in the wake of the massive celebrity photo scandal, was involved in his own nude hacked photo leak last month added, “I don’t think you can see any nuts or anything.”

But according to Michael, you may want to look closely, because he jokingly added. “Well there was a little bit for Calum, but other than that it was perfectly PG.”

It’s pretty safe to assume at this point that Jelena are totally back on.

On Wednesday (September 17), Justin Bieber posted this adorable shot of him and Selena Gomez at his friend, Ryan Butler’s birthday celebration, which reportedly was held at Lucky Strike bowling alley in downtown Los Angeles on September 14.

In the shot, which is captioned “Hope u had a good bday @ryanbutler,” the cute couple look beyond happy, as Selena, who has her adorable new bangs pulled back, smiles and stares at Justin, while he sports a giant grin.

The on-again-off-again duo have been spending quite a bit of time together as of late. The two were spotted walking together in Las Vegas over the weekend as they were in town for the Floyd Mayweather boxing match.

NEW YORK — Now we all knew that Ed Sheeran wrote a song for Hilary Duff, but it turns out he’s singing on the track too!

Yep, you heard that right: Ed and Hilary on the same song, singing at the same time. Seriously, if that Hilary and Harry Styles collaboration comes together, my head might just explode.

MTV News caught up with Hilary at a Trident Spread Smiles Across America event in New York recently, where she revealed that Ed did “all the background vocals” on the song, after waking her up in the middle of the night to record the track.

“He had been doing a promo day in L.A. and he’s like, ‘I know you have a 2-year-old, but could you please come and record at midnight?’ ” Hilary recalled. “I was like, ‘I’ve already been in bed for three hours by midnight on most nights,’ but of course for him I did, and I’m such a huge fan –he’s so talented.”

Luckily, Duff wasn’t up for too long since it only took her two hours to record the song, called “Tattoo,” but it was an intense and quite intimidating two hours.

“He vocally produced it and came in the booth with me. I was really intimidated because, normally, they don’t do that, so I kept looking up and being like, ‘You’re Ed Sheeran and I’m singing the song that you wrote and I want to do right by it,’ ” ...

Justin Bieber is promising “big things” are going down with Cody Simpson, and by the looks of it, he’s not kidding.

The pop stars teamed up for a photo shoot earlier this week “out on a ranch” in California — for what we assume is something tied to their upcoming acoustic collaboration album — and they gave us a little tease of what we can expect.

Justin uploaded a 0:30 teaser to his Fahlo account, and it shows JB wearing jeans and a flannel while Cody shows off his biceps in a white tank. Lounging in what appears to be a log cabin, the duo each play their guitars and sing along to a slow-tempo melody. Their voices blend perfectly together as they sing about a relationship that is “more than worth it.”

Photographer Nick Onken is behind the shoot; manager Scooter Braun is also on hand as the guys pose for pictures in the cabin and the great outdoors.

No word on what exactly the photo shoot was for, possibly an album cover? But it’s certainly getting us anxious for November, when the collection of “smack bang duets”, as Simpson described it, is projected to be released. Those eight weeks can’t come fast enough.
