Nick Jonas said his video for “Jealous” would be a little “out there,” and he wasn’t kidding.

On the day of his birthday, the pop star decided to throw his own b-day bash inviting fans to join him at New York’s South Street Seaport to debut the artistic, colorful and truly trippy video for the latest single off his upcoming self-titled album (out November 11).

Directed by artist Peter Tunney, who incorporated his artwork into the video, the clip takes viewers on a psychedelic ride (hence Nick’s encouragement to engage in recreational activities while watching) as he hops on a motorcycle, shows off his MMA fighting skills and gets a bit envious of all the attention his girlfriend, Olivia Culpo, is receiving from some other guys.

“I had a specific experience that sort of inspired me to write this song and got the ball rolling in that sense, and it’s not limited to that by any means,” Nick recently told MTV News. “And this video is about getting a little bit deeper and opening the conversation up and just having fun while we do it.”

And it certainly seems like they had a lot of fun, as the video features Olivia stripping down to her lingerie to play the cello in the clouds, Nick playing piano with a little old lady and getting beat pretty bad at a game of basketball.

I don’t know about you, but lately we’re all about Hilary Duff.

It’s been seven years since our own Lizzie McGuire dropped an album and we’ve all been impatiently waiting for her return. Nick Jonas is about to celebrate his 22nd birthday, but he’s giving us the best present yet: the brand-new video for his single “Jealous.”

On Tuesday, Nick is inviting fans to New York City’s South Street Seaport, where he’ll unveil his latest clip — which he’s been teasing for the past week — and the anticipation is killing us.

The Jonas brother tapped artist Peter Tunney to direct the video, and the artist “really connected” with Nick. The two are hoping that the vid will make people think about jealousy and “what it means,” plus they’ll get a cool visual experience since Tunney’s artwork is featured throughout.

“I think the thing is we wanted to open up a conversation about jealousy and the human element of it and the fact that most of the time I feel like it’s in your head,” Nick recently told MTV News. “I had a specific experience that sort of inspired me to write this song and got the ball rolling in that sense, and it’s not limited to that by any means. And this video is about getting a little bit deeper and opening the conversation up and just having fun while we do it.”

That specific experience centers around Nick’s girlfriend, Olivia Culpo, who appears in the video in rather unusual form.

It’s hard to believe its nearly been a year since the Jonas Brothers decided to call it quits.

A lot has happened since they put down their “Pom Poms,” Kevin had a baby, Joe got controversial and Nick got back in the studio to ready his much-anticipated self-titled album.

But that’s not all: Nick’s also letting down his guard and admitted he’s not “afraid” to say certain things on these songs.

“I think it’s just about opening up about things that maybe would have made me uncomfortable in the past, and my family situation has changed so much over the last year and a half — just closing one chapter and opening new ones — that it’s taken time to sort of figure that out,” he explained. “Being willing to talk about that I think has been good for me.”

You’re going to want to sit down for this because it’s official: Gwen Stefani is “all about doing music.”

That’s right, the pop star is back and after focusing this past year on her L.A.M.B. 2015 Spring Collection, she tells MTV News she’s “thinking about music a lot.”

But she’s not just thinking, she’s doing. Gwen is back in the studio and, get this, she’s working on both a No Doubt album and a solo album, which will be her first since she released Sweet Escape eight years ago.

“At this point I’m thinking about both, I can do both,” Gwen told MTV News during New York Fashion Week. “And it’s just an amazing time; so many opportunities. We lost Joan Rivers on Thursday (September 4), and the world became a little less funny.

The legendary comic and host of E!’s “Fashion Police” died after being taken off life support following complications while undergoing a recent throat operation in New York City. She was 81 years old.

“She passed peacefully at 1:17 p.m. surrounded by family and close friends,” her daughter, Melissa, said in a statement. “My mother’s greatest joy in life was to make people laugh. Although that is difficult to do right now, I know her final wish would be that we return to laughing soon.”

Joan was not only a comedic genius but a pioneer as well, becoming the first female to host a late-night talk show in 1986. Since then, she had pretty much conquered everything that show business has to offer. She had her own daytime talk show, a reality TV series, she was an author and continued to do stand-up.

Friends, family, comedians and colleagues all took to social media to pay their respects and memories for Joan as the news of her passing spread. Her network family at E! released a statement declining to address the fate of her hit style series, saying, “Right now we are mourning our beloved Joan. We will respond at a later date with programming updates.”
