This Baby’s Photobomb Is The Best, Strangest Thing You’ll See Today

by 4 mins ago

The art of photobombing takes years to get just right, but every once in a while, someone comes along who is born a master.

We might have found that master, and he’s not even a year old.

An unsuspecting woman was taking a routine selfie in a black dress, never realizing that the tiny photobombing expert was ready to ruin her shot.

The technique is flawless. The baby strikes a pose making it look like he’s growing off of the side of the black dress, as if he’s a miniature Cuato.

To put it another way, as one person tweeted so eloquently, “that’s some exorcist s–t.”

But really any way we try to describe it will come up short. It’s simply the photobombing work of a baby genius.

R2-D2 Finally Does The Ice Bucket Challenge

by 32 mins ago

R2-D2 is so devoted to charity, he risked his own circuits to help out with it.

The old bucket of bolts took up the mantle in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, although because C-3P0 wasn’t there to translate, we don’t know who nominated him.

R2 did take some precautions, wrapping himself in a protective layer so that the water and ice didn’t do too much damage to his circuits. Based on that sound R2 makes, I don’t know if it protected him too well.

A Tusken Raider did the honors of dumping the bucket on R2, though in a dark turn, used what appears to be another astromech droid’s head to do it. Hopefully, R2 left soon after this, because you know that Sand Person is going to be back later, and with greater numbers of ice buckets.

Though the video cuts off before R2 can nominate anyone, we’re going to assume that Wall-E, Johnny Five, and Optimus Prime are up next. [Editor's note: he actually did nominate Anthony Daniels and Grant Imahara].

Watch Iggy Azalea Take A Nasty Spill Off The Stage During Her Pre-VMA Show

by 23 mins ago

The VMAs almost lost one of its biggest performers to an unplanned stage dive on August 22. But luckily, Iggy Azalea’s just fancy enough that she can fall off stage and get right back up, without missing a beat.

The breakout pop star of 2014 was rapping her signature song, “Fancy,” at Time Warner Cable and Lifebeat’s MTV Music Video Awards concert at the Avalon, when she took a bad step and fell right off the proscenium.

The video is scary to watch, but don’t worry: Iggy’s not just OK, she’s laughing about it.

Her message to fans reads, “Sorry but it would be a crime not to share this with you all, I know I laughed. #StillFinishedtheSongTho #KeptOnRapping #TheShowMustGoOn.”

All right, Iggy. If you’re laughing, we’re laughing. Just be careful! The VMAs are one day away, and we can’t afford to lose you.

You can check out another angle in TMZ‘s video, here:

It's up to you to decide the winners of the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards! Vote now and tune in Sunday, August 24, at 9/8c ET to see who wins at the Forum in Inglewood, California. Plus, get the latest updates from all your favorite VMA artists on the MTV Artists App.

Malin Akerman And Carla Gugino Make Out For The Ice Bucket Challenge: Watch

by 16 mins ago

I have no idea if we’ve hit peak Ice Bucket Challenge, but if we haven’t, Carla Gugino and Malin Akerman are trying to get us there.

The two, who, just to make things weirder, played mother and daughter in Zack Snyder’s “Watchmen,” were challenged to the charity craze that’s sweeping the nation by their former director, and decided the best way to help the cause would be to make out with each other during the filming.

The camera pans up to show the two making out to the song “Je T’Aime,” as if the pair are in some kind of faux-serious French art film. And then, per the nature of the challenge, an unseen person, who apparently was watching them make out the whole time (is that what being a personal assistant is like?) dumps a bucket of water on them.

Related: Here Are The Rules To The Ice Bucket Challenge

It’s surreal and doesn’t make any sense, but hey, at least it’s for a good cause. Carla challenged Danny DeVito, Juliette Lewis, and Jason Weinberg, while Malin challenged Dan Stevens, Bradley Whitford, and Nicol Paone.

Ok, I’ll be honest: a Danny DeVito Ice Bucket Challenge sounds awesome. I just hope it’s not video of him making out with Bradley Whitford.

Actually, I kind of do.

New ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ Teaser Will Make You Swear Off Lollipops

by 3 mins ago

Whatever you think about Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story” as a whole, you have to give the show credit for its advertising campaign, which many times, like with last season’s snake posters, is just as horrifying as the actual season.

Since this season is called “Freak Show,” it promises to raise the bar on the terrifying, gross things we’ve seen in previous incarnations, and while the first teaser gave us only a small taste, this second teaser begins to deliver on that promise.

It starts off innocently enough: a man goes to lick a lollipop. Just another fun day at the circus, right? Well, sure, until we discover that the man’s tongue is essentially cut in two, and watch both ends slither around the pop like two halves of a snake.

Yeah, it’s gonna be that kind of season. And honestly, we can’t wait.

“American Horror Story” returns to FX on October 8.

‘Babe: Pig In Sin City’ Trailer: That’ll Do, Marv, That’ll Do

by 20 mins ago

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For” comes out today, widening the scope of the hard-boiled, mostly black and white world established in the first movie.

It’s a movie almost ten years in the making, which got us thinking about some other older movies that need a sequel. Combine that with the idea of an ensemble cast getting into trouble in a big, dangerous, stylized city, and the clear choice was the family classic “Babe: Pig in the City.”

But it wouldn’t be enough to just make a sequel to Babe’s misadventures. We wanted to know: what would it be like if Babe and his animal friends were transformed into the hard-boiled film noir characters of “Sin City.”

That question’s been answered, and you can watch for yourself the insane results when you mash up “Babe” with “Sin City,” and you get “Babe: Pig In Sin City,” a not-so-family friendly movie featuring Eva Green as a murderous pink poodle, Josh Brolin as the dog she betrayed, and, of course, Mickey Rourke as James Cromwell.

You have to see it to believe it.

8-Bit ‘Sin City’ Is The Best Video Game Never Made

by 6 mins ago

It turns out, the perfect movie video game is “Sin City.”

Don’t believe us? Well, with “Sin City: A Dame To Kill For” opening this week, the folks at Cinefix released their latest 8-bit masterwork with “8-Bit Cinema — Sin City,” and their imagining of the game is so good it makes me want to dig up my old SNES and play.

While Clive Owen’s Dwight and Bruce Willis’ Hartigan are of course main characters, the true highlights are the avatars of Marv and Miho. In fact, it was right when Marv took one of the cops and did his finishing move by jumping down the level and body-slamming him that I realized I actually needed the game in my life. And his jacket as his level-up? Perfection.

But Miho is arguably more awesome, as you get to wield two katanas and slice open every baddie you see, including an 8-bit Benicio Del Toro.

The makers of course had a wry sense of humor in the game, adding levels of 8-bit ultra-violence you probably never saw on those early generation cartridge consoles (not sure what my parents would’ve thought if they had seen me ripping off the Yellow Bastards testes, 8-bit or not).

To anyone who played these games as a kid and watches the video, the only downside will be that you’ll probably never get to play this game (someone start a Kickstarter, STAT!). Still, at this we have this glorious 3+ minutes.

Today In Good News: A Sick Fan Got A Private Screening Of ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’

by 13 mins ago

It’s been a pretty sobering week, and it’s nice that at least sometimes, a good gesture can break through and make people happy.

Reddit user harpster604 posted a touching story about his cousin, who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, or DMD. His cousin is a huge “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” fan, but because of the disease, couldn’t actually go to the movie theater to see the new movie, despite looking forward to it all year.

But as harpster writes, that was only the beginning of the story (click here for the full post):

“Last night he actually got to watch the movie, via an iPad + HDMI cable sent to his house by Paramount! This all fell into place when I thought about posting this to reddit to see if anyone would be willing to help out. I decided to message the r/movies mods beforehand to see if this was appropriate, and to my surprise one of the mods, /u/kleinbl00, knew someone who had worked on the movie and offered to help out! Because of him and his connection, I was able to get in contact with Paramount corporate in order to make this possible.”

Harpster, who said his cousin “loved every minute of it!” also posted some pictures to Imgur of the free IPad, Paramount’s message to his cousin, and a picture of his cousin smiling in bed with a “TMNT” poster behind him. If this doesn’t make you smile, I honestly don’t know what would.

The Mountain From ‘Game Of Thrones’ Just Won Europe’s Strongest Man

by 22 mins ago

Gregor Clegane is no longer just the strongest man in Westeros: he’s the strongest man in all of Europe.

Hafþór Björnsson, who plays the infamous Clegane (a.k.a. The Mountain) on “Game of Thrones,” just won this year’s Europe’s Strongest Man competition.

Björnsson had already laid claim to being the second strongest man in the world, but this was his first European title. Like his “Thrones” character, he took on all challengers and left none standing, placing in first in three major categories: deadlifting; atlas stones; and the forward hold of Thor’s hammer (yes, seriously).

You can watch the video below for highlights of Björnsson’s incredible and kind of terrifying showing. And his challengers can count themselves lucky that they left out (potential spoilers) the teeth-smahsing and eye-gouging competitions this year, because you know Björnsson would’ve killed in that, too.

And no, Tyrion wasn’t in the crowd, but if he was, I’m sure his face would’ve been something like this.

Watch Every Single Death From Every Quentin Tarantino Movie

by 21 mins ago

Since 1992′s “Reservoir Dogs,” Quentin Tarantino has been laying his great vengeance down with furious anger on his fictional creations.

Tarantino’s kind of like the movie version of George R.R. Martin: almost no one, including your favorite character (who’s being played by your favorite movie star), is safe from his wrath.

And while his use of naughty words is often chronicled (this “Just The Cussing” cut of “Pulp Fiction” being a good example), somehow no one thought to catalog the insane amount of dead bodies that have littered his movies.

That is until now, as Jaume R. Lauret has created what might be the ultimate Tarantino supercut: Every death in every Quentin Tarantino movie.

From the very first body to hit the floor in “Reservoir Dogs” to the final bloodbath in “Django Unchained,” this supercut should satisfy your blood lust, at least for today, as you relive the best, most horrifying, most heart-wrenching, most limb-chopping fatalities of the master filmmaker.

Quentin Tarantino // Every Death from Jaume R. Lloret on Vimeo.

And fear not, because QT’s got “The Hateful Eight” right on the horizon, and we’re sure at least a few of those eight probably won’t make it to the last frame. If this supercut is any indication, his death streak has actually increased as he’s gotten older, so we doubt anyone will be safe in that one.
