I guess Austin Mahone just gets inspired in his bathroom. Hey, I’m not judging.

The Secret singer admitted to MTV News on Thursday night that that’s where he wrote his next single, “All I Ever Need.”

“I like to write songs with my friend Robert. I was weird; we wrote it in my bathroom for some reason,” Mahone said on the iHeartRadio Awards red carpet. “I mean, it’s a pretty random place to write a song, but I know my fans are gonna love it, so check it out.”

Well, at least he admits it’s kind of weird. But this isn’t the first time he’s gotten creative in the bathroom. Remember this One Direction cover?

“All I Ever Need” follows “MMM Yeah” as the second single off the May 27 EP, and this one is extra special, he said.

“I’ve never put out a song I wrote and produced myself, so it should be fun to watch,” Austin said excitedly.

As for a video? Mahone hasn’t thought that much about it, but did have one thing in mind.

“I’ve been thinking of a treatment, I can’t really think, maybe a nice video on the beach would be cool? I live in Miami so that would be nice,” he said.

All of a sudden, Liam Payne — who’s been known to call people out for invading his privacy — is getting rather public. The One Direction singer aired out his relationship problems for all to see on Twitter on Friday (May 2).

Now, hopefully, those are just lyrics to an unreleased track we’ll be getting in a few days (maybe? fingers crossed?). But if this is reality, it seems like the Payne Train is in a whole lot of pain — the heartbreak kind of pain.

Liam could be subtweeting Sophia Smith, his old-college-pal-turned-girlfriend. Rumors have been circulating about their breakup. But if they’ve split as suggested, Liam could also be talking to Danielle Peazer. The couple dated after they met on “The X Factor” in 2010 (she danced on the show, and continues to dance for other musicians). They reportedly broke up in 2013.

Regardless of who Liam is pleading with so sweetly, let’s hope things work out and he feels better soon.

Rita Ora and Iggy Azalea are taking their enviable BFF relationship to MTV, and you can join in.

Rita and Iggy Iggs will go “Live From MTV” Monday (May 5) at 6 p.m. ET on MTV.com and MTV Hits. All you Rita Bots and Azaleans out there: tweet your questions for the duo using the hashtag #AskIggyRita. They’ll be playing games and talking about their individual singles “I Will Never Let You Down” and “Fancy.”

The two will also discuss their collaboration, “Black Widow,” off Iggy’s album The New Classic, out now.

When we talked to Ora last week, she was already gushing about working with the rapper. Here’s what she had to say:

“Working with Iggy, it’s like family, really,” she told MTV News. “I’ve known Iggy for a long time. I asked her to support me on my first-ever tour when she just had one song out and I was just like, ‘I like this girl’s vibe, she’s blonde like me, we’re going on tour.’

“Now I see what she’s doing and it’s great to be a part of it. We always wanted to work together. It was just about the right song. And ‘Black Widow’ was about two strong, independent women, and we’re blonde. Two blondes are better than one.”

We thought it would never happen.

5 Seconds of Summer have taken off their pants, and we finally get to see their underwear.

The guys left us hanging at the end of their “She’s So Perfect” video where literally EVERYONE shed their clothes except for Ashton, Calum, Michael and Luke. As the other people strutted around in their undies, glowing with a special air of confidence, 5SOS continued singing, “She looks so perfect standing there in my American Apparel underwear.” And when the guys start to unbutton their pants to get in on the action, the video ends in a cruel tease.

Thankfully, the foursome graced us with a pantsless pic on Friday (May 2). It’s blurry, but we can still make out Luke and Calum, wailing around.

“Another day in the dressing room,” they wrote. Luke wears a trucker hat, aviators and flannel, while Calum wears, well, pretty much nothing. And as for what Luke is holding? One can only guess.

Whoa. Did you see how Justin Timberlake just subtly dropped huge news about Michael Jackson‘s posthumous album?

He’s on it!

In an Instagram posted on Thursday (May 1), JT casually placed the single art for “Love Never Felt So Good,” from the late King of Pop’s album Xscape, out May 13.

Maybe we should sit down. It’s easier to handle the news this way.

Xscape, led by Epic Records’ Chairman and CEO L.A. Reid, will have eight never-heard-before tracks. Timbaland served as the lead producer, while Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Jerome “Jroc” Harmon and John McClain also worked on the new songs, which were hand-picked by Reid.

According to a track list that was released last week, Timberlake will be featured first on the album.

5 Seconds of Summer want to put an end to bullying — especially because, this time, it’s closer to them than you think.

Early this morning, 5SOS member Ashton Irwin tweeted, “Can’t believe people pick on my sister at school, one day they will realise individuality is a beautiful thing, I love you Lauren, be tough.”

And instead of the tweet disappearing into the Twitterverse, fans took hold of it and spun it into a worldwide trend. Soon after, #5SOSFamLovesLauren trended worldwide.

And the tweets kept rolling in, with #laurenisbeautiful, #weloveyoulauren and #StayStrongLauren becoming trends.

The tons of responses didn’t go unnoticed, as Ashton followed up with a sweet “thank you.”

Last night was a star-studded “American Idol” (and I’m not just talking about the judges’ panel). I’m talking Austin Mahone and Ariana Grande.

The two young stars hit up the reality competition last night. Austin was only there to take a selfie — but it wasn’t any old selfie. Viewers were encouraged to take a selfie with their TV, which had Austin and Ryan Seacrest in the background.

Later in the night, when contestant Sam Woolf went onstage, he couldn’t find the microphone. But instead of the whole flub turning into a super-embarrassing moment, Ariana showed up to save the day. Needless to say, Woolf was rather surprised. Ariana, in a black shirt-dress, gave him a hug before he took on his rendition of Ed Sheeran’s “Sing.”

Surprise!

Grande also hung out with Randy Jackson, which may have been the highlight of her night. Randy tweeted out a pic of their meet-up, while Grande joked to her fans about how he shot her down for a high five. Who’s too cool now?

In new teasers for their “Salute” video, out Friday, the four Brits take fierceness to a new level. There’s haze everywhere, hair clings to sweat and they growl at the camera as wind whips at their face.

The latest teaser opens with Jesy standing in a pool of water, as if the ladies are going through some kind of humid jungle boot camp. In another clip, Leigh-Anne lounges back in a leather chair, exuding girl-in-charge confidence. A torch is lit behind her in a tire, and there’s gravel all around, as if they’re hiding out in a cavern.

“Representin’ all the women, salute. Salute!” they sing in a bad-to-the-core attitude.
