Rita Ora and Calvin Harris are no longer an item.
The producer confirmed their breakup on Twitter, saying “To address speculation – myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best.”
The couple — who began dating in May of last year — were not only linked romantically, but professionally as well. He produced “I Will Never Let You Down,” the lead single off her upcoming sophomore album.
While Rita told Elle in April that the “Feel So Close” producer was her first love, she admitted late last month that their long-distance relationship was far from easy.
“I’m not a fan of long distance relationships. If you had a choice, you want that person with you. It makes me pretty sad. But you work with what you’ve got,” she told The Mirror. “You have to fly each other out, you just have to. Sometimes you fly for 20 hours, sometimes you only fly for five hours. It’s an effort, but you make it work.
