Chelsea Handler promised to go out with a bang, and true to her word, Tuesday night’s grand finale of “Chelsea Lately” was a star-crammed spectacular. The comedian ended her seven-year run with a “We Are The World”-style sing-along that featured a galaxy of her A-list friends, including Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Gerard Butler, 50 Cent, Avril Lavigne, Wiz Khalifa, Melissa McCarthy, Gwen Stefani Justin Theroux, Dave Grohl, Tyga, Jennifer Aniston and Anna Faris.

Plus way, more than that, but you’ll just have to take our word for it and scan the stage for your favorites in this musical number called “She Wants To Sing.” (Also, look for Stefani making fun of herself for her verbal slip-up while presenting at the Emmys on Monday night.)

By now you’ve likely dissected every aspect of Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” video. You know, for research purposes, of course. But one point you may still be scrutinizing is whether Nicki’s bouncy lap dance made Drake, how do we put this delicately?… rise to the occasion.

MTV News’ Rob Markman caught up with Nicki Minaj backstage at the VMAs after her “Anaconda” performance” and found out whether or not the Best Hip-Hop Video winner was able to contain his, ahem, excitement, during Minaj’s vigorous chair session.

“Drake, you know… he’s an actor,” Nicki said, with a serious eye roll “So he did a good job of containing himself. But after the lap dance he was excited like hell. He was like, ‘Yo, do you understand like I’m the man after this video come out?’”

Nicki said it’s always fun to do stuff like that with Drizzy because of their close relationship. But just so we’re on the same page, when she says “excited” she means, like, EXCITED, right? Like, in the groinal region?

“I think a little bit of both,” she said.

Drake had already confirmed he was feeling it last week, when he posted a photo from the shoot with the message, “Ayyyyyyyye @nickiminaj way way wayyyyyy up. Def the best invite to a video shoot EVER. #ViewsFromMyChair #MyAnacondaWasWayUp.”

Not only did Beyoncé shut down the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night with a 15-plus minute performance for the ages, she also helped slam the lid on those pesky divorce rumors with a family affair moment that made the Beyhive shout and the Internet melt down.

Mid-way through the show-closing set, the camera caught Blue Ivy smiling and singing along to “Drunk In Love” while sitting on Jay Z‘s lap. And as if it wasn’t enough of a Carter Administration moment already, when the epic run through songs from Queen Bey’s self-titled album was over, the whole fam took the stage together for one of the most touching, emotional moments in VMA history.

Jay came up with Blue Ivy on his hip to present his wife with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, and just the sight of Jigga and Blue made the usually unflappable Bey break out the waterworks. Jay immediately embraced Mrs. Carter and brought her in for a tender hug and kiss on the head as Blue clapped and got a smooch from mommy.

And did we mention the big lip-lock with Jay before he handed over the moonman? Take that, haters! “Yah mommy!” Blue Ivy said, clapping for the shiny trophy (and her moms). “And the recipient of the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award and the greatest living entertainer, Beyoncé,” Jay said as Queen Bey humbly bowed her head and took hold of the Moonman with ...

But when Chelsea Handler took the stage at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night, she mixed it up by throwing out a big thank you while presenting the award for Best Male Video to Ed Sheeran.

“I want to thank Taylor Swift for being so white,” the comedian said after Swift’s adorable, old-timey performance. She explained the because of all the “big, fat asses” at the show on Sunday night, she specifically asked to come on after someone really white.

And in her book, because she has “no ass” and didn’t want competition, Taylor was the perfect lead-in.
