Hold the Dream Phone! Katy Perry‘s latest and greatest Throwback Thursday photo is literally a dream come true: a teenage Katy is wearing a shirt with the words “Pop Star” bedazzled on it. (I’m pretty sure I owned that same bedazzled shirt in, like, eighth grade — I think we all did.)

5 Seconds of Summer are having one hell of day. To celebrate the U.K. release of their debut album — sorry, U.S., Canada and Mexico, you still have another three weeks — the boys kicked off an epic 90-minute-long livestream, complete with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Costumes and dancing rabbits, and followed it all up with their “Amnesia” lyric video.

The sorrowful track — co-written by Good Charlotte’s Benji and Joel Madden, among others — sees the band haunted by a failed relationship, as visualized through a trip around a lonely bedroom full of painful memories.

The “Don’t Stop” singers’ full-length self-title album will be released in the U.S. on July 22. But at least until then we can keep staring their adorably sad little faces.

YouTube sensation Shawn Mendes has already gotten serious attention for his unique covers of hit songs on YouTube and Vine — covering everyone from Justin Bieber to Ed Sheeran — but now he’s ready to bring his fans an original song.

The 15-year-old Toronto native already has nearly 1.2 million fans onTwitter and is a top-followed musician on Vine — where he posts 6-second acoustic sessions covering popular acts. Earlier this year, Mendes caught attention and inked a deal with Universal Music Group subsidiary Island Records, and he’s even set to go on tour with Austin Mahone this summer.

At midnight, fans will get their first taste of what Mendes really has to offer with the release of his first original single, “Life of the Party.”

“It feels amazing. I’m so excited,” Mendes says. “I was always doing covers of other people’s songs, which know people like. But, I’m so nervous to see what my fans reactions are going to be.”

Although he’s written three new original songs for his upcoming EP, “Life of the Party” came from two writers in New York City.

“It felt really weird singing over someone else’s song when it wasn’t my own,” Mendes explains. But after listening to the track, he realized it was meant to be.

“It’s about being happy with yourself as an individual,” Mendes says. “There’s one line, ‘We don’t have to be ordinary,’ it really connected with me. Being 15 years old, there’s a ton of trouble ...

Demi Lovato is just two days away from revealing her “Really Don’t Care” music video, and in a new teaser, she tells her Lovatics to get ready for a “celebration.”

In a previous teaser clip, Demetria cloaked fans in mystery with a short clip of her parade performance during Los Angeles’ Pride celebration in West Hollywood, where she served as grand marshall, and in a new clip on Tuesday (June 24), she tells us what made the parade the perfect setting for her new clip.

“Originally, [the song] started out as a break-up song. Then I realized I’m in such an awesome place that I didn’t really want it to have a negative message,” Demi says. “It’s awesome when you get to see thousands of people just being themselves, being who they are. I thought that was so fitting for this music video.”

Katy Perry’s Prismatic world tour has only been in the States for a few days now, but she’s already conquered it all. After a night of full-on ’90s nostalgia in North Carolina, the diva stomped right on into our nation’s capitol for her second stop.

And since no trip to Washington D.C. would be complete without a little presidential love, the “Birthday” singer met up with VP Joe Biden. Donning a fabulous pink ponytail and an electric smile, Katy writes that Biden “made me call my 93 year-old grandma to thank her for my baby blue eyes!”

While running amok through D.C., the singer also found time for a classic tourist shot with the Washington Monument. (Admit it, you’ve done it too.)
