Lilley recently returned to the screen in a controversial “Summer Heights High” spinoff series titled “Jonah From Tonga” that’s found him in hot water with some critics.

World, it’s time you meet Mary Kate Smith, a Mississippi student-athlete who’s not only the reigning Homecoming Queen, but the starting kicker for her high school football team.

Yup, you read that correctly. Homecoming Queen. Starting Kicker.

The 17-year-old blonde bombshell is entering her senior year at Hattiesburg’s South Jones High School, where she’s been a star of the soccer team up until now. Mark Kate’s tremendous kicking power put her on the football coach’s radar and she was invited to the team’s tryouts.

“When she came out, she was a better kicker period,” coach Cory Reynolds told NBC. “She very much earned it.”

“It’s been crazy. It’s almost like a mental game when you’re out there,” Smith told NBC. “It’s been a challenge, but it’s been good.”

Mary Kate has received nothing but encouragement from the community and teammates alike, inspiring other little girls as the town hero.

So will this rockstar take her newfound love of football to the big leagues? Nope, instead Mary Kate will be heading back to her life-long soccer roots next fall at the University of Southern Mississippi, flying high as a USM Golden Eagle.

You’re holding using the phone the wrong way.

No, seriously. Apple just released a statement about the alleged “Bendgate” scandal that’s been rocking the iPhone 6 Plus world for the last several days, and also knocking Apple’s stock down a few pegs.

If you haven’t heard, a handful of iPhone 6 Plus users have been posting photos that show a crease in the aluminum body of their brand-new devices, allegedly from storing the phone in the front pocket of their pants for extended periods of time. Lewis Hilsenteger of Unbox Theory took the test a step further by bending an iPhone under the force of his bare hands.

So what exactly did the Big A have to say about this debacle? It wasn’t far off from Steve Jobs’ sentiment over the iPhone 4′s antenna-gate.

“With normal use a bend in iPhone is extremely rare,” Apple said. They went on to note that only nine customers have directly reported the bending issue, and went as far as to describe the rigorous testing the device was put through before market.

The collective known as Messhead — that’s Mess London’s chef, James Thomlinson, plus Miss Cakehead — studied the musings of known cannibals to craft the perfect recipe for replicating the taste of human flesh.

Fresh off of the release of Lady Gaga’s collaborative jazz album with Tony Bennett — which left Little Monsters everywhere crying tears of joy — the 28-year-old New York native has teased another visual from Cheek To Cheek.

Clad in a red-leather jumpsuit and one of her voluminous wigs of late, Gaga delivers a soulful rendition of “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down),” a song originally made famous by the likes of Cher and Nancy Sinatra.

“Bang, bang/ He shot me down/ Bang, bang/ I hit the ground,” the “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love” singer wistfully croons before the clip cuts out. And, she’ll have you know, it was recorded in one take.

The preview serves as a teaser for Gaga and Bennett’s upcoming PBS concert special, set to air on October 24. Don’t want to wait that long? Don’t worry — Gaga promises that there will be a full video for “Bang Bang” out sometime this week.

If you’re still reeling over Allison Williams’ transformation into the title role of “Peter Pan Live!”, then hold onto your tights. The first official look at Christopher Walken’s Captain Hook has been released, and the visual, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, might just leave you speechless.

So, how does the veteran actor look as the antagonist of NBC’s upcoming live musical production? Ummmm, let’s just say that his take on the villain is sure to sink its hook right into the very center of your darkest nightmares.

Walken is no novice to theatre, having played the lead in several Shakespeare plays including “Hamlet,” “Macbeth” and “Romeo and Juliet.”

However, he is tackling more musical elements than he’s used to. “I’m not a good singer,” the stage vet told EW. “The songs are done almost like patter. Think Rex Harrison in ‘My Fair Lady.’”
