Sam Smith really has it out for our feelings, huh? Much like the British pop/R&B singer’s last video for “Stay With Me,” which saw him trudging through a gospel-powered walk of shame, “Leave Your Lover” treads over some very emotional territory.

Set against a series of gorgeous Parisian backdrops, the vulnerable clip finds Sam navigating a love triangle among close friends as he croons: “We sit in bars and raise our drinks to growing old/ Oh, I’m in love with you, and you will never know,” ultimately pleading, “Leave your lover, leave him for me.” Who put these tears in my eyes? You guys.

But, who does the “La La La” singer want to take up with? From all the tender caresses and longing looks — not to mention straight-up grinding — the video’s masterful direction leaves that ambiguous. Until the end, that is, when we learn that it’s his male companion who Sam’s been pining for this whole time.

tl;dr — Unrequited love sucks. Let’s all take turns hugging, like, a puppy or something.

Some media outlets like the U.K.’s Express are calling attention to the fact that the “Leave Your Lover” video is the first time that Sam has appeared to publicly address his sexuality.

Things have been pretty quiet on the Selena Gomez front lately, right? I mean, aside from the whole “attending the Met Gala” thing. C’mon, you know words are always relative when we’re talking about famous people!

Anyway, the “Slow Down” chanteuse stopped her somewhat elusive streak by Instagramming a super-cute photo of herself wearing a bikini at the beach.

The inspirational caption paints a more revealing picture: “Taking my power back.. can’t wait to show you where I’ve been. I love y’all. Ps, I still obsess over pickles.”

Taking her power back? Yay! She’s gonna let us know stuff soon? Can’t wait! She loves us? STAHP! She still obsesses over pickles? Who doesn’t?

Speaking of Instagram, remember when Selena recently unfollowed everyone she was following on Instagram? Neither Justin Bieber nor Taylor Swift were safe from the purge.

Well, the 21-year-old singer is now following three people on Instagram: her lifestyle brand Dream Out Loud, jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz and Bishop T.D. Jakes.

It looks like Selena was particularly inspired by Bishop Jake’s recent episode of “Oprah’s Lifeclass,” ’cause she also Instagrammed the following quote of his: “You can’t be who you’re going to be and who you used to be at the same time.” I guess that doesn’t apply to pickle obsessions.

I don’t know what it is exactly about Andy Bull‘s new song, “Talk Too Much,” but I’m completely in the mood for all the ’80s-throwback goodness it’s serving up.

Blame it on the rain “Jem And The Holograms” casting announcement, I guess.

Backed by a synth-heavy instrumental that could very well be the lovechild of The Cure‘s “Love Song” and The Thompson Twins‘ “Lies,” the Australian singer-songwriter describes a relationship on the rocks: “Baby, I talk too much, talk too much/ I told you that I heard you crying to yourself/ I pretended I was asleep.”

Paired with the audio is a non-video visual (kind of like what St. Vincent did for “Digital Witness” a few months back) where Andy sits pensively in a restaurant booth. Although he removes what looks to be an engagement or wedding band from his left hand, the ring is back in its original position by clip’s end.

So, are you single or not right now, buddy? You’re really sending me mixed messages. Sorry, I swear that wasn’t my only takeaway from your work.
