Stop us if this sounds like something out of “Inception,” but actress Hailee Steinfeld wants to be like Keira Knightley, who wants to be like Katy Perry. Bwuh? Huh?

Steinfeld, who co-stars with Knightley in the charming New York City-set movie “Begin Again,” chatted with MTV News about how darn good Knightley is at, well, everything. She acts, she’s gorgeous and, as she demonstrates in the movie, she’s got a nice set of pipes.

Of course, Knightley chatted with us before the film’s release about her surprising pop-star icon: Katy Perry. The draw was, specifically, the special effects Perry frequently utilizes around her chestal area.

“I heard about this,” Steinfeld said. “I would definitely go see her in concert. I’d be front and center for sure.”

The nerd-centric population of the earth is eagerly awaiting next week’s San Diego Comic-Con, the legendary annual gathering at which fans and artists collide, footage is shown and the world gets its first look at any number of upcoming movies.

Well, like Christmas in July, Comic-Con has come a bit early for a small group of press. Journalists got a sneak peek at about 15 minutes of footage from the upcoming “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” a hot-out-of-the-editing-room duo of sequences that will be shown to thousands of eager fans in Hall H at next week’s SDCC panel.

We can’t tell you much about what we saw — after all, the best part of getting to see the footage is going in unspoiled and letting it be a surprise — but we can feed you a few select tidbits about your favorite genetically strange reptiles to tide you over. Without further ado, here are seven things we did and did not see in today’s footage preview.

YES: Nunchuks, Bowstaff, etc.

Don’t worry, the turtles are still rocking their signature weapons — and to great effect. And they’re not just using them on their human enemies in the villainous Foot Clan. Expect vehicles and buildings to feel the pain, as well as clever non-fighting uses of the weapons to get out of sticky situations.

NO: Pizza!

If we know one thing about turtles of the teenage mutant ninja variety, it’s that they love pizza. Not that you’d know that from what we ...

Whatever you do, don’t call Ashley Greene a furry — she’s a “character designer of full-size plush toys.” Which means she might, on occasion, rock something we (and co-star Josh Gad) might refer to as “Muppet pants.”

If you, like us, have made a [Zach] Braff decision to watch an exclusive clip from the actor’s second directorial effort, “Wish I Was Here,” you already know to make these furry-character designer distinctions. And if you haven’t yet, well, what’s stopping you?

“Wish I Was Here,” Braff’s crowdfunded film starring himself as a mid-30s dad who’s still trying to make sense of things while raising his kids (Joey King and Pierce Gagnon) and figure out a way to get to Comic-Con, opens wide July 25, and is already in some select theaters.

Until your chance to see the full movie on the big screen, this clip of Greene and Gad arguing about the nuances of furry culture, fast food franchise characters and loud dogs will have to tide you over.

When you’re as hot as Noted Sexy Person Channing Tatum, every little bit counts. This man is generating so much heat within his charming, handsome, visually pleasing body that the man had to shave his head for even the slightest bit of relief.

Yes, you read that right: Chan the Man is shorn. Dude shaved his head. A photographer caught Tatum out walking his dog (who is also handsome, but in a different way) and chatted him up, prompting him to whip off his hat and show off his freshly buzzed noggin. He explained that it’s more comfortable in the heat.

And apparently his wife approves of his new ‘do: “Jenna loves it!” he enthused to his new photographer pal.

And you know what? We love it too. It just looks really soft and fuzzy, you know?

Ahh, “Forrest Gump.” The 1994 classic won the Oscar trifecta of Best Picture, Best Director and, of course, Best Actor for Tom Hanks. Hanks, as the simple-minded Forrest, taught us that life is like a box of chocolates, that stupid is as stupid does and that there are more varieties of shrimp than one could even dream of.

The movie, which came out 20 years ago today on July 6, 1994, also taught us another lesson, one that we probably didn’t even realize we learned. It taught us what Tom Hanks’ pubic hair looks like.

Yeah, really. Get ready to have some nightmares about America’s Dad. Oh, did you see “Captain Phillips” and cry? Get ready to cry again, for totally different reasons.

Oh, and it goes without saying that things are going to get borderline NSFW up in here, even if it does turn out to be a merkin.

And the best news is you don’t have to own this bad boy on DVD to check out Hanx’s downthere, it’s streaming on Netflix and we took the liberty of screencapping the play-by-play for you. The action occurs approximately 24 minutes in, immediately after Forrest is on the news for helping a girl with her books when his school is integrated.
