We Knew We Loved This Picture Of Bill Murray And George Clooney Before We Saw It

by 10 mins ago

You’re breathing and reading this, so we know at least two things about you (other than vital signs): you love Bill Murray and George Clooney.

Another thing that may or may not be true, depending on how good a shot you thought you had of becoming Mrs. George Clooney yourself: you can’t get enough of pics from Clooney’s wedding to Amal Alamuddin. (And that toast that Clooney’s dad gave, sniff.)

Brace yourself, because this picture of Murray and Clooney in tuxes just bein’ handsome, charming BFFs at Clooney’s wedding is going to blow your gosh darn mind:

The image is from the Italian edition of Vanity Fair and a kind blogger soul has scanned and uploaded the whole spread. Warning: It’s artsy and good looking and it looks like so much fun. As for the Murray/Clooney bro-down above, the only thing that could improve that picture, in our opinion, is if one of them was holding a piece of just-fried bacon. Or maybe if Emma Stone was photobombing and making a wacky face at the edge of the frame.

5 Burning Questions For The New ‘Twilight’ Movies

by 32 mins ago

We’ve had nearly a full day to process the fact that there are going to be more “Twilight” movies, and man, what a day it’s been. We’ve freaked out and tweeted about every single one of the feels we’ve felt, and recalled all the false starts for sequels and reboots in the past few years, and now we’ve finally arrived here.

Now that we’ve calmed down a bit, we have a few questions. Now that the stage is set for five new mini-movies to continue the saga, we have a few requests.

1. What happened to Edward and Bella?

Did our favorite vamp duo life happily ever (and ever and ever and ever) after? When we left off, Bella was vampified and a tentative peace brokered in the immortal world. Are Edward and Bella still hanging out being all in love and telepathic? We’d like to at least get a hint of what the newest Cullen is up to.

2. Will there be a new love triangle?

The geometry of Bella/Edward/Jacob will go down in history, but will subsequent installments introduce a new triangle with new twists? No points will be awarded if loose ends are tied up by one character becoming another character member’s kid’s soulmate. That only works once.

3. Will we learn more about the mythology of the original characters?

We’re still missing background for a of the characters we’ve come to know and love. For example, Alice. We ...

Miles Teller Clarifies ‘Divergent’ Comments: ‘I Own My Words’

by 4 mins ago

Miles Teller has a few things he’d like to clear up.

The actor made headlines when he was quoted in an interview in W Magazine saying that he “was feeling dead inside” and that he only took a role in the young adult adaptation “Divergent” for business reasons. In an interview with MTV News ahead of the New York Film Festival premiere of “Whiplash,” Teller clarified his statements.

“That’s not it at all. That’s the thing, I’m always dead inside, really, it’s only through the good grace of Bud Lite and cigarettes that I get going,” he joked.

More seriously, he said that he wouldn’t have taken the role in “Divergent” if he hadn’t genuinely wanted to do the part.

“At the end of the day, if Shailene wasn’t in it, if the script wasn’t good, if I didn’t see it as a worthy venture in my career,” he said, he wouldn’t have done it. It was the hectic schedule of shooting back to back movies that caught up to him. “I was not dead inside, I was just burned out.”

However misconstrued he felt his words were in the W interview, he was more upset about the apology statement issued by his publicist while Teller was on vacation.

“I got so upset,” he said. “I own my words. I’m confident with the person that I am, I know that I’m a good person, I never try to censor myself, and I know the reasons I did the movie.”

Yes, There’s Going To Be A Tetris Movie

by 8 mins ago

All the pieces are falling into place: there’s going to be a movie based on the video game “Tetris,” and it’s going to be “a very big, epic sci-fi movie,” according to Threshold Entertainment CEO Larry Kasanoff.

Kasanoff announced to the Wall Street Journal that his company would partner with the Tetris Company to bring the classic puzzle game to the big screen.

The classic game, first released in 1984, has potential not only fora film but for spin-off experiences, Kasanoff said. The brand has had strong presence in its decades of visibility, and Threshold has successful brought games to the big screen before. The production house is responsible for 1995′s “Mortal Kombat” and its 1997 sequel, “Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.”

“What you [will] see in ‘Tetris’ is the teeny tip of an iceberg that has intergalactic significance,” Kasanoff said of the “Tetris” movie.

And, no, it won’t be anthropomorphized Tetris shapes acting as main characters: “We’re not giving feet to the geometric shapes,” Kasanoff said.

Oooooh. Let’s just hope that Threshold can punch those buttons quickly enough to spin the pieces into place without getting blocked.

We Love This Sesame Street ‘Twilight’ Parody Like Edward Loves Bella

by 15 mins ago

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” may have dawned two years ago, but that doesn’t mean we’re done learning from it. We learned about love! We learned about loss! We learned about just how sparkly vampires can get in the sun.

And today, we’re using it to learn about executive function.

Yes, that’s right, Sesame Street has worked its magic on a “Breaking Dawn” parody, “Twilight: Breaking Cookie,” starring Cookie Monster as cookie-loving yumpire Shortbredward. Shortbredward loves Belly, and Belly loves Shortbredward, but will Shortbredward’s cookie-lust get in the way of his relationship? Jealous Bacob the Wolf does, and he never misses an opportunity to show up with his alluring chocolate chip cookies, hoping to tempt Shortbredward away, and Belly into his cookie-making arms.

Look, it’s supposed to teach kids about controlling their impulses, but there’s one impulse that we can’t control: watching this clip over and over. Start the slow clap now, because we’d watch a whole movie of this concept.

Check out the clip below.

Magic Michael Strahan Joins ‘Magic Mike XXL’

by 7 mins ago

Just call him Magic Michael Strahan, because the former NFL champ and current “Live with Kelly and Michael” co-host will be taking it all (or most of it, at least) off in “Magic Mike XXL,” the sequel to the 2012 stripper saga “Magic Mike.”

Strahan announced the news today (September 29) on his show, saying he was “nervous” about taking the role alongside Channing Tatum. The sequel will have a total lack of Matthew McConaughey’s big-mouthed emcee Dallas, and is already in production.

Strahan speculated aloud about whether he’d have to undergo any follicular preparations for the role, for which he said he’ll be outfitted in, “kind of a thong thing.”

“I don’t think I’m hairy on the back end, but maybe I do need to be waxed,” Strahan said. “I’ve never done anything like that.”

Director Greg Jacobs and Tatum have both noted that “Magic Mike XXL” will be something of a road trip movie. No word yet on whether the roving band of strippers plans to travel by “Pony.”

“Magic Mike XXL” gyrates into theaters July 1, 2015.
