Although she wasn’t among the celebrities whose private photos were stolen and disseminated by hackers this weekend, Emma Watson is still lending her voice to the conversation about the leak — and what she had to say was typically smart and incisive:

The actress spoke out on Twitter in the wake of a massive leak that included private photos of Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and others, which were obtained by hackers who posted them online in an effort to earn bitcoins. The situation is now under investigation by the FBI.

It’s no surprise to see this message coming from Watson, who’s just as famous for being thoughtful and intelligent as she is for making movies, but it’s still nice to see her calling out some of the seriously gross responses seen on the Internet in the wake of the scandal. Here’s hoping the Internet pays attention.

The bird in question was not captured on video, but we assume that if the camera had ever panned upward, we would have seen a three-eyed raven shouting, “Winter is coming, bitches!”

The great irony of selfies is how un-self-aware we are while taking them, as we’ve just realized to our unending horror after watching this video.

A teenage girl who was having a magnificent selfie session in the backseat of her dad’s car didn’t realize that Dad, who is obviously a monster who delights in other people’s humiliation, was filming her at the same time. The whole thing lasts 59 seconds, which is 58 seconds more than any reasonable person will be able to watch without wanting to crawl into their couch and quietly die of embarrassment.

By now, you’ve probably heard that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the most preternaturally perfect Hollywood power couple ever to exist, have at long last gotten married — so, basically, they’re gods now.

But it wasn’t always thus! The Jolie-Pitt affair has evolved over the years, beginning with whispered rumors from the set of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” the eventually became the big speculative tabloid scandal of 2005. Below, we look back at the decade-long history of their fabulous romance.

January 2004: The “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” co-stars were caught in a candid moment during a break from filming.

Though it would be months before whispers of a romance began, people couldn’t help noticing that this was literally the happiest Angelina Jolie had ever looked.

March 2005: Don’t stand so close to me.

This distinctly un-cozy photo was taken the same month that Pitt’s then-wife Jennifer Aniston filed for divorce.

June 2005: Yeah, these two definitely dig each other.

The best new zombie movie you’ve never heard of is coming to theaters sooner than expected, thanks to some speedy snapping-up by Lionsgate.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio purchased rights for “Maggie,” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Abigail Breslin as a father and daughter living through the zombie apocalypse, at the last minute before its scheduled premiere at the Toronto Film Festival this week. Instead, the movie will make its way into theaters across North America sometime in the first half of 2015 — which makes it one to put on your must-watch list for next year. Here’s why.

Breathing new life into the undead
“Maggie” promises all the usual horrors of the zombie genre, but with a subversive twist. In this story, Breslin’s character is infected with the zombie plague and trying to ready herself for the end with the help of her father, who won’t leave her side — making it less a survivalist thriller, and more a dramatic study of a family facing down its doom.

Arnold gets to dig deep
With Schwarzenegger’s reputation as a go-to guy for action heroics with an occasional side of physical comedy, it’s nice to see him take a role in which he can take a break from punching things and actually, like, emote. If creepy Alan Rickman is your favorite Alan Rickman — and come on, isn’t he everyone’s? — then “Dust” should be on your radar for today.

We don’t want to spoil the excellent twist in this teeny tiny film from directors Ben Ockrent and Jake Russell, but suffice to say that Rickman is at his best as a silent, lurking, trench-coated man who follows a little girl and her mother home after school for reasons far more disturbing and hilarious than anything you’re currently imagining. Don’t make us ruin it for you; just watch. It’s only seven minutes long.

If you’ve been holding out hopes of seeing Chloë Grace Moretz put on her purple wig for one more turn as Hit Girl, the following news will make you very sad, indeed. According to the actress, greedy masses of malignant torrenters have pretty much left the “Kick-Ass” franchise dead in the water.

As reported by Screenrant, Moretz told Digital Spy that the lack of a paying audience for “Kick-Ass 2″ meant that she and her fellow heroes would have to hang up their capes and move on.

“Sadly, I think I’m done with the character,” Moretz said. “Hit-Girl was a very cool character, but I don’t think there will be any more movies. You make these movies for the fanboys, but nowadays everyone seems to pirate them rather than watch them in the movie theatre.”

Of course, it’s worth noting that “Kick-Ass 2″ had bigger problems than piracy, not least the part where one of the film’s most recognizable stars (Jim Carrey) publicly denounced his involvement and refused to promote the movie — which is something to be considered before we all go chasing after our local fanboys with a meat cleaver while shrieking, “THIS IS WHY WE CAN’T HAVE NICE THINGS!”

The 2014 Emmy Awards went on for hours last night, but as far as the Internet is concerned, the entire ceremony began and ended with Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ walk to the stage to claim her win for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series — during which she was accosted and violently made out with by a passionate Bryan Cranston, who wanted to remind her once and for all that they totally kissed on “Seinfeld” back in the 1990s.

Fortunately, Jimmy Fallon stepped in and put a stop to the smooch before Julia’s entire head disappeared down Bryan Cranston’s throat, but only just before.

Cranston also took home his own Emmy for his work on “Breaking Bad,” but let’s be real, winning the award is definitely not the part of last night’s ceremony that he’s bragging about this morning.

With Kanye West too busy to attend the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, Saturday Night Live’s Jay Pharoah took on Kanye impersonation duties for the duration of the evening — a tough job, considering that noted Kanye expert and spouse Kim Kardashian was right there to watch the whole thing.

What did Mrs. West think of Pharoah’s hyperventilating take on her husband’s outsized personality? Our split-screen video captured her reaction in real time, from start to finish. She kept a camera-ready game face on for most of it, but not even the TV veteran could completely hold it together for the moment when Pharaoh, suddenly in super-serious mode, looked soulfully into the camera and declared her “the smartest human being on the planet.”
