by 10 mins ago

The Ice Bucket Challenge to help fight ALS continues on, soaking celebrities and normals around the world for a good cause.

The latest challengee is none other than James McAvoy. The “X-Men: Days of Future Past” star accepted the call from Jose Mourinho, the manager of the Chelsea Football Club.

Passing on the campaign to help fight Lou Gehrig’s Disease, McAvoy challenged two key figures in the Scottish independence debate, Alistair Darling and Alex Salmond… Though sadly not Shawn Ashmore, who plays Iceman in the “X-Men” movies.

Maybe next time?

Chris Pratt Dressed Up As Star-Lord, Visited Sick Kids And Is Now Our Favorite Person

by 1 min ago

Remember back before “Guardians of the Galaxy” came out, when Chris Pratt said that really sweet thing about stealing his Star-Lord costume from set so that he could visit sick kids in the hospital?

Well, he wasn’t joking about that.

A tweet from the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles proved that Pratt is true to his word with this unbelievably heart-warming picture of the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star with a young patient.

This is exactly the kind of thing that makes me happy that Chris Pratt is seeing huge success lately. He’s clearly a talented, funny guy, but taking this extra step just to bring joy to a group of kids who have been through way too much puts him in a special (and too rare) category of stardom.

“Guardians of the Galaxy” is in theaters now.

Evangeline Lilly Debuts Wasp-y ‘Ant-Man’ Hairdo

by 33 mins ago

Just to be clear, let’s get this out of the way: this isn’t proof that Evangeline Lilly‘s character in “Ant-Man,” Hope Van Dyne, will take on the identity made famous by her mother.

But that sure does look like the Wasp’s haircut.

Lilly posted these photos of her new hair to her Instagram account, just as filming is getting underway in San Francisco. The bobbed do is definitely reminiscent of her short crop that the Wasp usually sports, but this could either be a friendly nod to the classic Avenger or a signal of where Hope Van Dyne’s character might go.

Check out the photos below and let us know what you think in the comments.

For comparison purposes, Janet Van Dyne from the comics:

…And Lilly again:

“Ant-Man” is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2015.

Watch Jared Leto Get His Beard Trimmed On ‘The Tonight Show’

by 8 mins ago

Since winning his Oscar, Jared Leto has been growing out a powerful, respectable beard, but all good things must come to an end, I guess.

On the “Tonight Show,” Jimmy Fallon offered Leto some advice: that he needed to take his beard down a notch or two. Even though this sounds like the theory of someone who can’t grow a great beard and is burning with jealousy, Leto agreed with the late night host and allowed Fallon to take clippers to his face bush.

Exclusive: Superman Shows Off New Suit In ‘Dawn Of Justice’ Set Photos

by 3 mins ago

As filming continues in Detroit on “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice,” more and more set photos are hitting the web. First there were a handful that showed Ben Affleck as non-Batman Bruce Wayne, and then there were those pictures of Scoot McNairy in green socks, which screamed “The Flash” to the internet, somehow.

Nothing too exciting, but today we finally got some real superhero stuff.

EXCLUSIVE: FIRST LOOK Henry Cavill in updated SUPERMAN Costume for Superman vs Batman: Dawn of JusticeCorbis

Henry Cavill took a stroll to his trailer, trying and failing to keep his flowing Kryptonian garb under the black robe meant to stop onlookers from getting photos. But everyone in the world knows what Superman looks like. Why make Cavill throw on the extra layer? You mean Superman’s costume looks almost identical to the one in “Man of Steel”!?

As a number of side-by-sides have already pointed out, Superman’s costume in “Dawn of Justice” is slightly different than the one in “Man of Steel,” which doesn’t make sense if you think about it, right? Superman found his suit on that 18,000-year-old ship. How is there a new one? Maybe we’ll get an explanation in “Dawn of Justice.”

Where ever Kal-El did pick up this new suit, they did a generous job of shading it. This version of the costume is definitely painted to exaggerate Cavill’s musculature. ...

Watch Kids Reenact ‘Game Of Thrones,’ ‘True Detective’ And ‘Breaking Bad’

by 1 min ago

Just in time for the Emmy Awards on Monday, August 25, here’s this new video of kids recreating the top nominated dramas.

And boy is it a good thing that kids don’t understand subtext!

Otherwise, this cute video of kids reciting lines that their moms gave them would be their first encountered with the nihilistic principles of Rust Cohle, what “meth” is, or the real reason that Anna is so upset.

Watch Pierce Brosnan Play Jimmy Fallon In ‘GoldenEye 007′

by 16 mins ago

For a lot of people born in the late ’80s and early ’90s, their first introduction to James Bond was the Nintendo 64 game, “GoldenEye 007.” It was an undeniably huge game that, as much as any of the movies, helped relaunch the series with Pierce Brosnan in the lead.

The first-person shooter allowed you to be James Bond, so it would stand to reason that someone who actually portrayed 007 on the big screen would be really good at the game.

But that is not the case.

Those illusions were shattered on “The Tonight Show” when Jimmy Fallon challenged Brosnan to a round of “GoldenEye,” and the former Bond actor’s skill level was about what you’d expect from your average dad.
