Is David Just Using His Daughter To Publish ‘Finding Carter’?

by 37 mins ago

Adjusting to life among the Wilsons has been no easy feat for Carter Stevens, but the rebellious teen has always had her father David to lean on for support. Or has she?

The down-on-his-luck writer, who’s already proven to be a bit sleazy, seemed to sympathize with Carter’s pain over losing Lori on tonight’s “Finding Carter” episode. He told Carter he’d arranged a meeting during which Carter and Lori could say their final goodbyes — and the father and daughter really opened up to each other while they waited for the abductor to arrive — but Lori never showed and, dejected, Carter went home. But the sorrow didn’t stop there.

Grant, who’d caught Elizabeth and Kyle discussing their affair, finally told Carter and Taylor that their mother was cheating. But Carter, who had already given up her old life to commit to the new, wasn’t willing to let the couple fall to pieces. She urged Elizabeth to come clean, but when Elizabeth did, David told her to kick rocks, and she moved out and into a hotel.

David explained to Carter that he couldn’t stay in a marriage with a partner who found him to be so pathetic that she had to seek romance extraneously. So Carter played the only hand she had: She told David he could write “Finding Carter” with her blessing — something she believed would make him feel redeemed in Elizabeth’s eyes — if it meant that Elizabeth could ...

Beheadings And Blood Spills Aside, ‘Teen Wolf’ Benefactor Meredith Is Just Trying To Do Good

by 14 mins ago

So, it’s been revealed that Meredith is The “Teen Wolf” Benefactor, a shadowy mob boss who’s been sending assassins after werewolves, kitsunes and every non-human being in Beacon Hills. But if you’re willing to put aside the fact that innocent teens have been left headless under Meredith’s direction, the actress behind the character is certain that the girl’s got a good heart. Uhh, why not!

In the “Teen Wolf After After Show” below, Maya Eshet breaks down the big revelation from Monday night’s episode and insists it doesn’t mean that the meek, twitchy Meredith has suddenly become a cold-blooded Whitey Bulger.

“I think she’s trying to do good,” Maya explains of her character. “I think she’s confused and she has this idea of what would help the world, and that’s what she’s trying to do.”

So…maybe this is all one big understanding, and Meredith could reform? Maya is certainly keeping her fingers crossed.

“I’m hoping [Meredith's] sobering up a little bit,” she says. “That is what I would wish for her.”

For more from Maya, including a step-by-step guide on recreating Meredith’s creepy head-shake, watch the clip. And be sure to tune in to the next “Teen Wolf” episode Monday night at 10/9c!

The ‘Teen Wolf’ Benefactor Has Been Identified — So What’s The Motive?

by 4 mins ago

So, let’s review the powers that are unique to “Teen Wolf” banshees: blood-curdling screams, the ability to foresee death and, now, the power to come back from the dead to create hit lists.

Yes, it looks like Beacon Hills’ feared Benefactor is none other than the seemingly timid Meredith. How ’bout them apples!

On tonight’s episode, Lydia, who recently discovered a bit of scrambled code left to her by her late grandmother, finally uncovered its elusive cypher key with Stiles‘ help. Once she plugged in “Ariel,” the code condensed into a list of 10 people around town who had recently killed themselves at Eichen House — Lydia’s grandmother Lorraine, among them — and so the duo traveled to the mental health facility for more information.

TiedUp

Against their better judgment, Lydia and Stiles bribed Brunski — who’d proven to be a slimy Eichen employee — to give them access to the space’s files. As usual, though, he had a hidden agenda, and after only a few minutes, he knocked Lydia and Stiles out, tied them up and left them screaming for help.

Trapped, and with time to think, the two connected the dots and realized that the new list’s entries hadn’t killed themselves — they’d been murdered by Brunski. And when the man re-entered the room with a menacing look in his eyes, it seemed as though the friends might soon become addenda. When Brunski looked ready to strike, though, Deputy Parrish burst into the ...

Lauren Conrad And Lo Bosworth Glow As Bridesmaids In ‘Laguna Beach’ Reunion Wedding

by 16 mins ago

It’s only a matter of time before Lauren Conrad and fiancé William Tell finally say “I do,” but until then, it looks like the “Hills” alum is getting all the wedding practice she can get.

Conrad and longtime pal Lo Bosworth both served as bridesmaids to friend Maura McManus, who married David Oehm this weekend in Ojai, California. And in spite of some camera complications, the ladies looked great. “Rule #44 never take a photo at a wedding with an iphone4s. It makes you look weak and inexperienced (and also blurry),” the girls’ friend Jilly Hendrix, who was also a proud member of the bridal party, captioned the Instagram photo below.

Not to be outdone, some of “Laguna Beach“‘s finest gentlemen — Dieter Schmitz and Stephen Colletti — also got all gussied up for the occasion and made the nuptials an official LBHS reunion. “With @stephencolletti for one of the bestest in the westest @mauramcmanus wedding,” Schmitz captioned the Instagram photo below. You really lucked out with this crowd, Ojai!

by 4 mins ago

The stars of “Faking It” have spent the past week reveling in their Teen Choice Awards win, but it’s time to put away the streamers and confetti and get back to work!

After an inaugural season that explored how far teenagers will go to achieve popularity, Katie Stevens, Rita Volk and the whole Hester High gang have officially begun shooting Season 2. And some photos Gregg Sulkin shared from set definitely indicate they’re happy to get the ball rolling once more.

S2PhotosGregg Sulkin's Instagram

“The “faking it” gang say hello :)” Sulkin tweeted with a photo that finds the show’s five main actors arm-in-arm (perhaps they’ve forgotten their characters all pretty much hate each other at this point…?).

So…what exactly can we expect from the upcoming episodes? Will Karmy mend fences, which showrunner Carter Covington told Buzzfeed wasn’t out of the question? Will Lauren stow away her daggers and start to play nice? Will Shane, on the other hand, let his fangs show? Only time will tell, but for now, the group’s just happy to be back in the swing of things.

“Day one of Season 2 and I’m loving it!! #FakingIt” Michael Willett tweeted as things officially got underway.

Check out the photos, share your excitement for the return of “Faking It” and hang tight for the Season 2 premiere on September 23 at 10:30/9:30c!

Mayo Cake, Meat-Glaze Shots And More From ‘Snack-Off”s Carnival Episode

by 10 mins ago

If clowns give you the heebie-jeebies, tonight’s “Snack-Off” episode might have supplied one more reason to stay away from carnivals.

On tonight’s battle, three amateur chefs were challenged with upping the ante on fried dough, cotton candy and other snacks that you can typically find between the Ferris wheel and House of Mirrors, and, later, making a top-notch dish that featured pork rinds. Some, like a cheese-filled fried pepper, were hits, while others, like a dry meat-and-popcorn munchie, were left for the rats.

Though only one contestant walked away with the golden spork and $1,000, we were treated to some…interesting…cooking techniques along the way. Feast your eyes on our favorite new-age “Snack-Off” methods:

Crushing breakfast cereal into ground beef:

Making cake batter with ginger ale and mayonnaise:

Hammering out Twinkie-nuggets:

Wrapping a poblano pepper in cold cuts:

Concocting a shot with hoisin sauce (Chinese meat glaze):

Should ‘Teen Wolf’ Scott Be Dating Someone He Could Easily Lose?

by 9 mins ago

For most, teenage relationships mean movie dates, hand-holding and an occasional kiss in your dad’s junky convertible. In Beacon Hills, they include risking your life each time you try to have a lovey-dovey rendezvous.

Teen WolfScott McCall learned that romance certainly doesn’t last forever when the first girl that gave him butterflies, Allison Argent, was killed at the hands of an Oni last season. His heart was scarred for some time, but he’s since moved on with Kira Yukimura, one of Beacon Hills’ newest students who, like Allison, never goes down without a fight. On Monday night’s episode, though, she continued to prove why tenacity on the battlefield isn’t always a good thing.

Though the kitsune’s sword usually cuts through opponents as if they’re loose-leaf paper, a feisty Berserker delivered a crushing blow to Kira’s head that knocked her out cold and left her nearly as battered as her mother. And it wasn’t the first time Kira’s been in the line of fire — earlier this season, a Beserker delivered her a mighty ass-whooping during a battle outside the Hale family vault. These guys definitely have her ticket…

Kira’s a tough one, but when you’re as willing as she is to put up the dukes, there’s a lot of risk involved. And considering The Benefactor’s still at large, there’s no telling if her days — or anyone’s days — are numbered in Beacon Hills. So, in light of all that Scott’s been through with ...

‘Virgin Territory’ Poll: Should Luke Have Played The Field Before Committing To Madalynn?

by 2 hours ago

If he liked it, then should he have put a (promise) ring on it? That’s the question after tonight’s “Virgin Territory” episode.

Though 22-year-old Luke has played by the rules as a student at Liberty University (no kissing, lengthy hugs or visits to dorms designed for the opposite sex), he’s still a bit of a black sheep among his friends. Many of them already sport engagement rings as their graduation date nears, but Luke’s been perpetually single, and his past relationships could more precisely be counted in days or weeks than months or years.

That is, until he met Madalynn, a Liberty lacrosse player who’s kept the proud athlete and adrenaline junkie on his toes. “She’s literally one of the best things that’s ever happened to me,” Luke gushed. “I kind of have commitment issues, so the fact that it’s at three months, I mean, that’s a big deal to me.”

LukeConvo

Evidently, it was a huge deal. Luke, who didn’t want to risk losing freshman Madalynn after graduating, decided to buy her a promise ring. It signified that he intended to remain celibate until he married her and that he would remain faithful after leaving campus while she was still in school. Luke’s betrothed friends were happy for him, but they couldn’t help but think he was jumping the gun. “Kissing a lot of different people is awesome, but kissing just one person — I didn’t realize how awesome that could be,” he assured his pals.

Holland Roden Recreates Britney Spears’ Legendary ‘Slave’ Performance…Snake And All

by 25 mins ago

When you’re regularly confronted by werewolves, dark Japanese warlords and things that go bump in the night, something as small as a snake isn’t gonna knock you off balance.

Teen Wolf” actress Holland Roden, who’s spending some time in Australia with co-star Ian Bohen and former Wolf-head Max Carver, found herself with a yards-long reptile wrapped around her neck at some point during her journey. And in an Instagram video that Carver posted this morning, Roden reacts the way any red-blooded American would: by taking the opportunity to recreate Britney Spears‘ iconic “I’m A Slave 4 U” performance from the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards.

“@hollandroden who said she’s afraid of snakes? #It’sBritneyBitch” Carver captioned the video, in which the woman who plays a banshee ditches her typical blood-curdling screams in favor of some dulcet tones. Throw in a few background dancers and a shredded green top and we’d think we were watching the real thing! Get ready for that Moonman, Holls.

Tell us how you think Roden’s rendition compares to the original, catch “Teen Wolf” Monday night at 10/9c and stay tuned for the 2014 MTV VMAs on August 24 at 9/8c!

‘Finding Carter’ Poll: Should Elizabeth Have Sent The 5-0 After Lori When She Had The Chance?

by 4 hours ago

Parents often want to be their children’s friends, and on tonight’s “Finding Carter” episode, Elizabeth was no exception. But should she have put her foot down and been an authoritarian instead?

When Carter first moved in with the Wilsons, Elizabeth had no trouble behaving like a tyrant to her long-lost daughter, but over time, the two began to bond. And when the police officer felt she had finally secured a spot on Carter’s good side, she swore she’d ease up on her efforts to apprehend Lori, the woman who abducted Carter, to keep the peace. Carter still thought of Lori fondly and resented Elizabeth for referring to the woman as nothing more than a criminal.

BDay

Elizabeth and Carter had grown so close by tonight’s episode that on Carter’s 17th birthday, an occasion during which Carter originally planned to steal away into the night and reunite with Lori, Carter ultimately decided to stay with the Wilsons. Still, she felt obligated to tell Lori she wasn’t coming and asked David for help in making the call. He did and, predictably, it wasn’t a friendly one.

Lori, who’s no stranger to stalking Carter while in disguise, answered in a hostile manner and urged David not to “underestimate” her. David pleaded with Elizabeth to contact the police — as, thanks to Carter, he knew exactly where Lori would be waiting — but Elizabeth kept her word to her daughter and maintained that she wouldn’t get her peers ...
