If you want TV comedy, seek anything starring Tina Fey. In the mood for romance? Check out the latest “Bachelor.” But if drama’s what you’re after, look no further than Cynthia Watros.

On the new MTV series “Finding Carter,” Cynthia will play a police officer named Elizabeth Wilson who discovers that her teenage daughter, who was abducted as a child, is alive and well. And once Carter is reclaimed, Elizabeth will go through hell to find justice. Sound intense? It is, but thankfully, that’s Cynthia’s bag.

The actress, who was born in suburban Michigan, first burst onto the Hollywood scene in 1994 as Annie Dutton on “Guiding Light.” Cynthia proved to be a natural on the soap opera circuit (she played an alcoholic, pill-popping thief with ease, she recently told MTV News) and for her efforts, she won the 1998 Daytime Emmy for Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Yup, Cynthia officially contributed to Susan Lucci’s 18-year curse — and was the last woman who won before Lucci finally got her hands on a trophy in 1999.

After parting ways with the character of Annie, Cynthia tried her hand at comedy, landing a role on “The Drew Carey Show” as Drew’s childhood friend and eventual love interest. She also played a pushover named Erin with a family full of dysfunctional addicts and alcoholics on “Titus.”

Considering all the dead Peter Hale has left in his wake, it’s safe to say he’s got a bit of karmic debt to pay. And on tonight’s episode of “Teen Wolf,” the transaction began — to the tune of $117 million in bearer bonds.

Scott and Malia, who wanted to get to the bottom of Kate Argent’s new supernatural ability, paid Peter a visit. And once the duo helped Peter realize it was his scratch that had changed Kate into a werejaguar, he knew what she was after: the Hale family’s triskelion. Years earlier, Peter used the object to help Derek focus his powers during full moons, and Kate, who’d been struggling with her own transformation, was ready to claim it as her own.

By Benjamin Buttoning Derek and turning back his memory’s clock to a point at which he’d trusted Kate (like…before she killed his whole family), Kate convinced Derek’s teenage equivalent to grant her access to the Hale family vault. The more naive Derek eventually obliged and handed over the triskelion, but Peter soon showed up and dashed Kate’s hopes by explaining that the object was simply a symbol, and didn’t, itself, hold any power.

A furious Kate looked ready to kill Peter, but just as she bore her sharpened teeth, an unknown being tossed a few cans of blinding gas down the stairs and into the vault, paralyzing Peter. While he struggled to remain conscious on the floor, it ...

By the end of “Teen Wolf” Season 3, former Alpha Pack members Aiden and Ethan had proven their loyalty to Scott McCall. But it came at a price, and like archer Allison Argent, Aiden was struck down by an Oni. Understandably devastated, Ethan decided to leave Beacon Hills, and just as quickly as he and his brother stormed into town, they were gone for good.

Despite the tragic end, the twin brothers who played the werewolf warriors have fond memories of their time on the show. And in the MTV News clip below, Charlie and Max Carver — who now star on HBO’s “The Leftovers” — say they’d return to the supernatural universe if they could.

“We loved working on ‘Teen Wolf,’” Max says in the video, which was filmed on the red carpet of “The Leftovers” premiere. “I would go back, but I’m dead.”

“I’ve heard the best things about this season,” Charlie adds. “We love our fans. What an amazing place Beacon Hills is. I’m watching!”

“Free Agents” host TJ Lavin said racing to the top of Volcano Villarrica would be the hardest thing the game’s competitors would ever have to do, but evidently, he’s never tried to strike up a romance in the “Challenge” house.

This season, after a drunken, jokey proposal, Nany and Cohutta realized they had genuine feelings for each other. The epiphany scared the sh** out of Nany, and to cope (and possibly to sabotage her shot at something real), she decided to sleep with Johnny Reilly. But Southern charmer Cohutta wouldn’t be deterred and continued to work his way into Nany’s heart until the day he was eliminated.

On tonight’s “Free Agents” reunion special, after Nany laid into Johnny Bananas for trying to mess things up between her and Cohutta by airing her dirty laundry (literally — he found Johnny Reilly’s underwear on the couch), something special happened. Cohutta let go of his own misgivings about a serious relationship and made it official with the woman he said smells like “wild honeysuckle blossom.” It was nothing short of magic.

“I’ve never felt more appreciated,” Cohutta told host Jonny Moseley, before turning to face Nany. “So, will you go to the prom with me?”

Nany accepted. But could this thing really work?

Instinct might tell the average person to flee from Villarrica, one of Chile’s most active volcanoes. But shelving common sense and racing to the top just made two “Free Agents” $125,000 richer.

After two days, five legs and 25 miles on a stationary bike (how cruel!), Johnny Bananas officially walked away with his fifth championship check on tonight’s finale, while three-time runner-up Laurel finally got the gold medal she deserved. But the difference between first and second was nearly negligible on both sides.

Though Laurel came out on a tear on the women’s side, winning the first two heats decisively, “Real World: Las Vegas” export Nany passed her on the third leg, which involved ascending a vertical wall. As far as cumulative time was concerned, Laurel won by nine minutes, but Nany stayed on her tail until the very end of the race and nipped at her heels until the very top of Villarrica.

Devyn, who wasn’t sure she had what it took to endure the tall task, finished long after her fellow competitors. But as far as TJ Lavin was concerned, she was MVP for digging as deeply as she did. Bravo, D!

When the new MTV series “Finding Carter” premieres on Tuesday, July 8, its title character will discover that the woman she believes is her mother actually abducted her many years earlier from her biological parents. Conveniently, Kathryn Prescott, who plays the teenage Carter, is no stranger to the world of drama.

After a single appearance on “Doctors” alongside her twin sister in 2008, London-born Kathryn landed a role on the hit UK series “Skins.” From 2009 to 2010, she played gay teenager Emily Fitch, who often felt overshadowed by her sister and struggled to find acceptance from her family. Emily’s relationship with her girlfriend Naomi was a hugely popular storyline, but in the show’s 2013 follow-up special, Emily returned home after an internship in New York and discovered Naomi was dying of cancer.

“There were a lot of dramatic storylines on ‘Skins,’” the 23-year-old recently told MTV News. But, she added, her most prominent memories involve a lighter tone. “We shot a party scene for ‘Finding Carter’ that really reminded me of the ‘Skins’ parties that they used to have.”

After subsequent roles on shows including “Bedlam” and “Being Human,” Kathryn landed a spot on her first prime-time US series, “Reign,” last fall. The possibility of seeing true love — or even just friendship — blossom out of questionable online connections is half the appeal of “Catfish,” and though we’d like to believe Miranda found that on tonight’s episode, we’re not so sure.

The 21-year-old reached out to Nev and Max about her online boyfriend, James, whom she met in 2011. At the time, James was going by “Cameryn,” but thanks to Miranda’s own sleuthing, she discovered his profile was fake and got him to give details about his (supposedly) real life. Still, Miranda had doubts and told the Internet detectives that if James lied once, he could very well be lying again. The truth seemed near when, after some expert coaxing, Max and Nev persuaded James to meet with Miranda in person, and the duo traveled with her from Minnesota to Georgia to finally get things sorted out.

But once they arrived in the state, James went radio silent. A flurry of text messages and calls to him went unanswered until, finally, he agreed via text to Skype. But when James logged onto the video chat tool, an 18-year-old girl named Gabby appeared instead. She wouldn’t give a straight answer about why she’d tricked Miranda, but insisted her feelings were sincere. Understandably, Miranda was humiliated. And her embarrassment grew the next day when, after agreeing to meet in a nearby park, Gabby was a no-show.

Friends and family are there to support you through thick, thin and, in the case of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, trading partners on national television.

On last night’s “Celebrity Wife Swap,” Heidi and Olympic gold medalist Amanda Beard switched lives, husbands and houses for a week. And Mr. Pratt’s bud Brody Jenner (who’s no longer feuding with Spencer) and his sister Stephanie Pratt (who’s also no longer feuding with Spencer) had plenty to say as viewers.

Stephanie, who’s never had trouble speaking her mind, predicted she’d be in for some craziness before the episode even aired. “Bahaha 4 dogs & a baby can’t wait to LMAO watching you guys on @abc @WifeSwap tonight @heidimontag @spencerpratt,” she tweeted with a photo of a sneak peek in which the former “Hills” villain is struggling to corral a gang of pups.

Brody, on the other hand, waited to offer his two cents until about halfway through the episode. That’s when Spence’s temporary wife Amanda introduced him to a few FBI agents after getting word that he was fascinated by the government organization. “I am dying over here,” Brody texted his pal, according to Spencer’s Instagram shot. (Note that Jenner is listed in Spencer’s phone as “Prince Brody.”)
