#TBT: Remember When Kristin Cavallari Played A Lesbian Cheerleader On ‘Veronica Mars’?

by 5 mins ago

The painfully honest Kristin Cavallari was called every name in the book while attending Laguna Beach High School, but it’s not until she took a trip to the fictional town of Neptune that she got the distinguished honor of “horrible, crazy bitch.”

VeronicaKristin2

The “Hills” star, who caught a small-scale acting bug before her current shoe designer/TV host duties, once appeared on “Veronica Mars” (which, incidentally, premiered 10 years ago!) as a lesbian cheerleader caught up in an extortion scheme. And suddenly, prom drama looks totally manageable by comparison…

VeronicaKristin1

On an episode called “Versatile Toppings,” our very own K-Cav played an in-the-closet pom pom-tosser/student news correspondent named Kylie Marker, who begged amateur teen detective Veronica Mars for help in keeping her sexual identity private. Kylie explained that an anonymous web-hacker had weaseled his way into a gay teen support message board and threatened to out all the local gay students if they didn’t pay him a hefty ransom.

VeronicaKristin3

Determined to rise above the hacker’s cowardly bullying — and keep her cash in her pocket — Kristin/Kylie decided to come clean about her sexuality on a school-wide broadcast, and she and girlfriend Marlena were suddenly free to walk the halls hand-in-hand. Still, Veronica’s case kept running cold, and the hacker remained at large.

VeronicaKristin4

Finally, after some expert sleuthing, Veronica discovered it was Kylie, herself, who was extorting her fellow LGBTQ students (!!!), and Kylie’s unapologetic ...

To Swipe Or Not To Swipe? The 5 Most Memorable ‘Virgin Territory’ Tales

by 3 mins ago

Good or bad, someone’s first sexual encounter is certainly memorable, and now, some of the “Virgin Territory” features can testify.

On the show’s first season, the friend zone, fear and self-doubt played huge roles in young people who filmed their explorations of their own sexual identities. Some were looking to enter into physical relationships, while others were happy to keep their chastity belts fastened — but none were the same at the end of production.

More than a dozen teens and twentysomethings bravely shared their stories, and after tonight’s finale, we’re looking back at five that really stuck with us. Take a look at which guys and gals kept us glued to our screens, and share your thoughts on the season!

Dominique

Having watched the women in her family struggle through young pregnancies, Dominique made a vow not to lose her virginity until she met the man she was sure she’d marry. As she aptly put it, “no ringy, no dingy,” and she ultimately stayed true to the mantra — even though it caused some tension between her and her family members, who though she was being too picky with dates.

Kyle

It’s not that consummate nice guy Kyle didn’t want to lose his virginity — it’s that he couldn’t seem to close the deal. And when he came clean to his pals about his unswiped V-card, they vowed to help him use it. Kyle struck out at bars and clubs but eventually had sex with his ...

‘Faking It’ Poll: Can Amy And Karma’s Friendship Survive The Love Affair That Didn’t Happen?

by 11 mins ago

Karma would presumably give her left arm to Amy if her best friend needed it. But as for her heart? Well, that’s a different story.

On tonight’s “Faking It” Season 2 premiere — otherwise known as the morning after to end all mornings after — Amy and Karma were forced to face their new reality: Amy had finally confessed her genuine feelings for Karma, Karma was forced to uncomfortably reject her best friend and the two girls’ BFF status was suddenly thrust onto shaky ground. Put aside the fact that Amy and Liam drunkenly hooked up — there was a sisterhood at stake!

Terrified at the idea that Amy was pulling away out of embarrassment and hurt, Karma set out to prove to her best pal that she didn’t have to worry, and that Karma was no less interested in a (platonic) life together than she was before Amy’s admission. But Amy assured Karma the fervent speeches and radio-worthy guitar songs were unnecessary. “It’s not your fault you don’t feel the same way, even though I wish you did,” Amy insisted. “I could never hate you.”

AmyLook

Amy’s words were convincing, but the lovelorn look in her eyes as the girls hugged it out couldn’t be ignored. So what do you think — are Karmy completely back on track as far as friendship is concerned, or will the discomfort that only comes from unrequited love eventually push them apart? Take our poll, and tell ...

Now This Is ‘Awkward’: Is Lissa and Tyler’s Love Really A Family Affair?

by 9 mins ago

If a varsity jock and a nerdy art student can make things work (always and forever, “She’s All That“), who’s to say a Jesus-loving cheerleader and her-kind-of-but-not-really adopted brother don’t deserve the same shot at love?

On tonight’s “Awkward” premiere, while Matty was busy kicking Eva/Amber out of town, Lissa found herself in the midst of Palos Hills’ most recent and forbidden love affair. For some time, she and Tyler, a British-educated exchange student whom Lissa’s parents adopted on a mission trip to Africa, have fought their mutual feelings. But finally, they submitted to romantic tension on the senior ski trip — and continued to kiss between class back at home.

Terrified at the notion that Sadie would catch Lissa and Tyler in the act and and chew the couple out, Lissa hired a beard — her ol’ ex Jake — to mask what she believed to be an unforgivably sinful act. But, as Lissa and her “brother” don’t even have enough family photos to fill up an album’s first page, could their new intimacy really be so wrong? Then again, they are technically siblings…

Whaddya think — is Tyler and Lissa’s under-wraps relationship messed up, or is the latter making a mountain out of a molehill?

Which MTV Show Just Got A Key To A City?

by 31 mins ago

Faking It” may call Austin, Texas home, but it’s nice to know the show’s characters have officially got a place to crash out west.

Last night, MTV’s high school comedy made history when West Hollywood awarded the entire show a key to the city — the first time a whole production has been given the honor. Yup, Mayor John D’Amico and the City Council handed off the shiny instrument to Katie Stevens, Rita Volk, Michael Willett, Gregg Sulkin, Bailey De Young and Executive Producer Carter Covington in the City Council Chambers, and according to a press release, the group was more than deserving.

“A Key to the City is a symbolic honor presented by the City of West Hollywood in recognition of admirable service or valued accomplishment,” the document says, and notes “Faking It”‘s work with The Trevor Project, GLAAD and Advocates for Informed Choice made it an easy pick for the distinction.

So what do you do with access to one of Los Angeles’ most lively neighborhoods? Marvel at it, of course! “it’s so pretty!!!!!! #keytoweho” Katie tweeted while ogling the key. And Gregg, who was ready to celebrate, wrote “Who wants to come for ...

by 58 mins ago

Chocolate can temporarily dull the pain of heartbreak, and a girls’ or guys’ night out can heal at least a little hurt. But the surefire way to completely do away with lost love only takes two ears, a stereo and some tunes that will arm you powerfully enough to sort through it all.

Liam will be pissed about Karma‘s lies, Amy will be torn to shreds over her best friend’s rejection and, consequently, Karma will be a shadow of herself when she realizes the two most important people in her life have given her the cold shoulder. In short, it’s going to suck for everyone.

And somehow, still, there are bombs that have yet to drop.

So how can Karmy and their pals deal? Below are seven essential songs that can help them on their varying journeys back to solid ground. Take a listen to the Karmy Coping Playlist, tell us which track gets you through hard times and hang tight for the “Faking It” Season 2 premiere!

“With Or Without You,” U2

OK, so the Irish rockers aren’t the most popular guys on the planet right now, but this song definitely speaks to Karma’s struggle to place Amy in her life. BFF? Girlfriend? Nothing at all?

That Awkward Moment When Kim Kardashian’s Butt Is Mistaken For A ‘Bosom’

by 22 mins ago

Kim Kardashian’s backside has left many heads spinning, but it disoriented “Ridiculousness” host Rob Dyrdek to the point where he couldn’t remember exactly where it is.

In a bonus scene from the most recent episode, which featured Kim’s sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Rob asks the girls about Kim’s notorious “bosom.” And though they seem to know he’s got his anatomy phrases a bit mixed-up, they play along.

KendallKylieR

After Rob asks the girls if the Kardashian-Jenner clan has any nicknames for Kim’s “bosom,” he can only think to declare, “A great bosom is a great asset to have in life.” Finally, a producer feels compelled to step in and enlighten Rob by pointing out, “You might want to say butt instead of bosom, because bosom generally refers to breasts.” Mistakes happen, man.

“I didn’t catch it!” Kendall says in an effort to console the increasingly embarrassed stunt man, but the damage has been done, and all Rob can do is walk off his shame in front of the giant laptop’s glow. You’ve just gotta learn some lessons the hard way…

Check out the clip, and tune in to the next “Ridiculousness” episode Thursday night at 10/9c!

Here’s The Recipe For A Perfect Marriage, Courtesy Of ‘Snack-Off”s Chrissy Teigen And John Legend

by 24 mins ago

With nine Grammys and a smattering of high-fashion editorials between them, there’s no denying that John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are a Renaissance couple. But does their artistry extend into the kitchen, too?

On tonight’s “Snack-Off” celebrity episode, judge Chrissy watched intently as her hubby competed against the likes of Melanie Iglesias and Big Black for a $1,000 prize for charity. John put up a good fight and wowed the judges with his made-from-scratch “Sloppy John,” but his Butterfinger-battered fried chicken ultimately fell short, and it was Big Black who took home the Golden Spork in the final round.

Though John had to settle for second best, it was very clear throughout the competition that he and Chrissy had a flavorful rapport — and hey, when you’ve got a smart, clever supermodel wife to console you, you could certainly do worse. Look back at the couple’s recipe for romance below, and tell us your favorite part of the celeb episode!

Here’s How Sadie Saxton Can Extend Her ‘Awkward’ Kindness Streak

by 18 mins ago

After four seasons of dashing dreams, crushing hopes and making even her most optimistic peers cry, Sadie Saxton did the unthinkable on last season’s “Awkward” finale: She provided a shoulder for Jenna Hamilton to lean on.

Yup, it was one for the books. After Jenna got dumped for investing too much into exposing Eva as a liar, Sadie offered her enemy an uncharacteristically sincere “I’m sorry,” and we were suddenly thrust into the Twilight Zone. But now that she’s proven she’s got at least a decent heart, why should she stop there?

So that Palos Hills High School can start appreciating — and quit fearing — the queen bee, here are five ways Sadie can keep her kindness streak alive. Check ‘em out, and be sure to tune in to the “Awkward” season premiere Tuesday night at 10/9c!

1. Cut Tamara and Jenna a break on the cheer squad.

SadieFinal

As long as J-Town and T put in the work and genuinely want to help out, who is Sadie to say that they don’t belong? We didn’t want to mention this, but she’s no longer captain, and as long as Lissa thinks the BFFs make a contribution, the pom poms should remain in their hands.

2. Treat Lissa as an equal.

Sadie3

Friendship is very much a two-way street, and there are entirely too many times when Sadie dictates the lane and route Lissa should take. Things go smoothly when Sadie gets her way, but ...
