Ice buckets baby!

Judging by Questlove‘s Instagram, The Roots are cold chillin’ after accepting and completing Justin Timberlake‘s ALS Ice Bucket challenge.

“Hey Timberlake $&€%¥+%%!!!! @justintimberlake @jtimberlake #ALSIceBucketChallenge,” wrote Quest in the caption of his photo of an emptied orange bucket with the words “Let’s Do This” on it.

The pop star nominated the legendary Philly rap band, along with good friend Jimmy Fallon and Steve Higgins after he and his back-up band, The Tennessee Kids, finished their own.

“I’m going to pass this on and challenge Jimmy Fallon, Steve Higgins and The Roots from ‘Fallon Tonight,’ ” he said before later adding after he poured the ice-cold bucket over his head. “You have 24 hours to respond.”

JT was originally challenged by Patrick Downes and Jessica Kensky, who were both injured in the Boston Marathon bombings last year. The “What Goes Around… Comes Around” singer had 24 hours to pour a bucket of ice-cold water over his head or donate at least $100 to the ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) Foundation, which raises awareness for Lou Gehrig’s disease.

“We did both,” JT said. “And then we donated a bunch more. It’s such a good cause.”

No words on whether Fallon and Higgins were in on the same ice water bath.

Bad news, Kings of Leon fans.

Due to an injury Nathan Followill sustained in a tour bus accident this past weekend, the group has canceled all shows up to and including the performance at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion at Meadowbrook in New Hampshire on August 26.

The KOL drummer is under strict orders from Dr. Faiz Bhora, Chief of Thoracic Surgery at Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital, to rest in order to make a full recovery.

“I’m counting down the days until I can get back in the saddle and continue what has been our best American tour so far,” said Nathan.

Nathan was treated for broken ribs after the accident in Boston, in which a pedestrian jumped in front of their tour bus, causing the bus to stop abruptly.

KOL is scheduled to return to their Mechanical Bull Tour on August 28, when they will take the stage at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey.

In the meantime, refunds for ticket holders for the canceled shows will be available at point of purchase.

The good news is that the group will still perform on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” Wednesday night (August 13). Group friend and resident band leader ?uestlove will sit in on the drums for Nathan as the group performs their new single, “Family Tree.”

EWW! It’s Taylor Swift.

That’s right, a bucked-toothed, brace-faced, librarian glasses-wearing Swift is angling for an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’s “EWW!”

In the new teaser video, Swift goes by “Natalie,” who hopes to be on the spoof basement talk show segment where Fallon gets his guests to impersonate teen girls.

“I heard that you had that television show called, ‘EWW!’ and so maybe I could be on it,” she says.

Swift, who will be making quite a few appearances in the next few week to promote new music, will be on The Tonight Show on Wednesday, August 13.

It’s an Addams!

Well, not exactly.

According to Us Weekly, Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday Addams in the 1991 film “The Addams Family,” welcomed her first child, a bouncing baby boy, with husband James Heerdegen.

No name has been released, but the two new parents are ecstatic.

“They are thrilled and ready for a change of pace,” a friend told Us Weekly.

Ricci, 34, wanted to keep her pregnancy private, but was spotted with a baby bump at Los Angeles International Airport back in May.

Ricci and Heerdegen met on the now defunct ABC series “Pan Am” in 2011 and tied the knot in New York in October 2013.

Ever since 2005’s Emancipation of Mimi, Mariah Carey and Jermaine Dupri belonged together.

Not anymore.

According to Billboard, the Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse singer has parted ways with her longtime manager/collaborator/producer.

“I’m a very hands-on person when it comes to my work,” Dupri told Billboard in a statement. “I put my all into every project. But when I’m not allowed to do what I do, then I know it’s time for me to move on. Mariah and I enjoy working together and will continue to make great music together in the future.”

The split comes on the heels of the disappointing sales of Elusive Chanteuse, which has only moved 103,000 units since its release in May.

In addition to his role as executive producer of her latest album, the So So Def mogul produced two of Carey’s biggest hits to date: “We Belong Together” and “Always Be My Baby.”

Carey is now reportedly working closely with Kevin Liles, who currently manages Ty Dolla $ign and Trey Songz.

If you’ve ever wondered what your favorite rap song would sound like if it was read by their mothers, wonder no more.

In a special segment called “Words From Your Mother” on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Tyga’s mother read the lyrics from “Rack City” live on television, and it was as funny as you’d imagine.

“Hi, I’m Tyga’s mom and this is my son’s song, ‘Rack City’,” she said.

Dressed in a yellow Versace shirt and black skirt in front of a green screen showing footage from the song’s music video, Momma Tyga recited the words, including those that required censorship.

“Woo, that’s my Booki, I love him,” she said when she was finished, shaking her head.

Even though he’s not up for a Moonman this year, Usher will definitely be at the 2014 Video Music Awards next month — and he’s f–king excited about it.

This year will mark his third time as a performer at the awards show, so before he looks ahead, he’s looking back in a brand-new promo for the August 24 show.

Ten years ago, the Everything You Can Imagine singer electrified the audience with a rockin’ mash-up of his megahits, “Confessions” and “Yeah.” He returned six years later to serve up an animated performance of “OMG” and “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love.”

The R&B dynamo has already expressed his passion for performing live, so it’s a given that he’ll bring down the house again for round three.

And make no mistake about it, he’s just as excited as we are.

“I want my motherf–king MTV,” he says in the promo.

For Throwback Thursday, Jennifer Lopez dusted off her Jenny from the Block persona to help Fat Joe celebrate life on the new song, “Stressin’.”

The gritty, Rico Love-produced track starts off with Joey Crack declaring that “the Don Cartagena has returned,” before he dives headfirst into a litany of luxe lyrics about popping bottles and wearing designer fashions.

“It’s the Hublot show/ Seven figures on the wrist like you don’t know,” he raps before letting his fellow Boogie Down Bronx native sing the hook.

“So let me ask one question, do it look like we stressin’? / cause we ain’t,” she sings with that familiar J-Lo swagger.

M.I.A. linked up with Dutch duo The Partysquad for her latest track, “Gold.”

The song, which clocks in at a very succinct one minute and 47 seconds, features a beat that is a provocative clash of incongruous horns, whistles, bass and electronic blips with a brief reggaeton interlude.

The Matangi rapper’s lyrical pace is too quick to decipher, but she makes references to Kindle, Skype and GPS.

“Show me your gold, do what you’re told/ No time for games, put on your blindfold,” she raps on the chorus.

“Gold” appears on The Partysquad Summer Mixtape, which also features remixes to Wiz Khalifa’s “We Dem Boyz,” Lil Jon’s “Bend Ova” and Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy.”

Get ready music fans, the iHeartRadio Music Festival is making its way back to Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Arena, and the guest list looks killer.

Ryan Seacrest announced the star-studded lineup Wednesday (July 23) for the fourth annual Sin City music extravaganza, which will take place September 19 and 20.

Some of music’s biggest names will take the stage this year including, Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Usher, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Motley Crue, Zac Brown Band, One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Paramore, Iggy Azalea, Train, Eric Church, Lorde, Calvin Harris, Bastille and Steve Aoki.

But that’s not all. This year marks the second annual iHeartRadio Music Festival Village, which takes place Saturday afternoon. The Festival Village will feature live performances from Childish Gambino, MAGIC!, The Pretty Reckless, Nico & Vinz, Neon Trees, Kacey Musgraves, Lil Jon and Iggy Azalea.

Other special surprise guests are expected to be announced closer to the show dates. Tickets go on sale Saturday.

The iHeartRadio Music Festival will be broadcast live on Clear Channel Radio Stations, exclusively streamed live on Yahoo! Screen and air as an exclusive two-night special on The CW on September 29th and 30th.
