Did you like Bridesmaids? Did you laugh so hard it hurt?
Well get ready to laugh out loud again, because breakout star Kristen Wiig is teaming up with co-screenwriter Annie Mumolo for another comedy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The yet-untitled project will be Wiig’s directorial debut. In addition to writing and producing, both Mumolo and Wiig will star in the film.
The movie’s plot is still under lock and key, but according to THR, the comedic duo with play best friends way over their heads and out of their element.
“We’re very excited to be writing,” Wiig and Mumolo said in a statement. “We will be going into a cave for months to finish. An actual cave. We found one that’s nice and big. We’re putting a couch in there.”
Wiig and Mumolo nabbed a best original screenplay Oscar nomination for “Bridesmaids,” which earned a whopping $288.4 million at the box office worldwide.
No date has been set for the film’s release.
