When Kanye West goes on a rant, people talk. During his set at this year’s Life If Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas Friday (October 25), West explained why he feels it’s unfair when he’s criticized for expressing himself.

“This is the part that gets me in trouble,” Kanye West said in the middle of his set, according to Billboard. “Everybody has a right to their own opinion, so why do I get in trouble for speaking mine? It just makes me feel like the media doesn’t want anybody to express no real motherf—ing opinions.”

“I think I’m just lazy,” West added. “When you have to put up some kind of facade, you have to think a lot about what the lie is. F— that, I’d just rather tell the truth. But the media wants you to think I’m a bad guy. Like bad in the same way as people who kill other people.”

While he may believe that the media portrays him negatively sometimes, we’re happy to hear that Kanye West just wants to let us all know how happy he is.

“Y’all just have to understand how happy I am right now in all actuality,” West said. “I’m just happy to see my daughter’s first smile and how happy I am to see my beautiful wife, who is here with me, and we’re going to celebrate her birthday again at Tao tonight.”

How does Drake celebrate his birthday?

Awesomely, of course.

This year, Drake celebrated his 29th birthday with friends at Dave & Busters in Times Square, shmoney dancing the night away.

At one point, Drake does the shmoney dance with a twist. Instead of the classic hat throw, Drake takes off his cozy sweater and launches it like Bobby Shmurda would—if he wore sweaters instead of snap backs.

Drizzy, who was joined by Makonnen and Rita Ora, among others, posed for flicks and hugged his guests at the arcade like a good party host.

From Southern California to England to New York: Stephanie Pratt has easily earned the title of “globetrotter” since her days on “The Hills.”

After failing to claim the big prize during the latest season of the U.K.’s “Celebrity Big Brother,” Spencer’s sis is set to make her way back stateside, this time landing in the Big Apple for a stint on “Made In Chelsea: NYC,” a spinoff of the British BAFTA Award-winning series.

The former MTV star will be joined by some of London’s and Manhattan’s biggest socialites –- including ex-beau Spencer Matthews, whom she met on the original version of “Made In Chelsea” in 2013.

As for the juicy quarrels, we’re not exactly sure what level of drama Manhattan’s social scene will bring just yet (if “The Real Housewives of New York City” is indication, it’s A WHOLE LOT), but one thing’s for certain: Steph knows how to hold her own in a catfight. Hollywood, California — By now, we know Kanye West isn’t scared to turn up.

Sure, Yeezy delivered a pretty calm speech about Teyana Taylor’s success at the start of the Harlem, New York singer’s VII album listening session, which was held Monday (October 20) in Hollywood. The Yeezus MC even joked that he wouldn’t show his usual passion because he’s been “controlled by the media.”

But just a few songs into the listening session, Kanye couldn’t help himself and grabbed the mic again to turn things up a notch.

“Sometimes, I be a little bit less expressive because mother——ers wanna Michael Jackson me to death and sh– and act like I don’t do nothing positive and attack me,” Kanye said to a crowd that featured Chris Brown, Karrueche Tran, Nelly, YG and Big Sean, among others.

“So, I be scared to turn up< " he continued. "If you remember with Pusha T, I turned up and everybody thought I was crazy. Then he came out and did that buck-twenty and n—-s were like, ‘Aw, man. Maybe the sh– was good.’ But what I’m saying is Teyana provides something that’s so R&B, so black, so ‘hood, so missing and so necessary in the marketplace.”

At this point, Kanye, who was at the event with wife and birthday girl Kim Kardashian, was ready to let it all out when speaking about G.O.O.D. Music’s First Lady.

Def Jam Recordings, which recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, was founded in a small New York University dorm room by Rick Rubin.

Rubin, who’s worked with an array of artists, from LL Cool J and Kanye West to Johnny Cash and Red Hot Chili Peppers, recently went back to where it all started as part of the Rolling Stone documentary, “Rick Was Here.”

“I can’t believe it’s 30 years,” he says while sitting in the dorm room in the documentary. “It’s really trippy. It doesn’t feel like that long. I’ll say I don’t normally look back very much, but when I come here, I think of the crazy parties that we had, being threatened to be kicked out for noise complaints, the adventures.”

Those adventures helped create a foundation for a label that would eventually help define a genre and a culture as Def Jam would be home to several iconic Rap figures, including T La Rock, Jazzy Jay, Beastie Boys, Run DMC and Jay Z, among others.

The documentary, of course, also outlines Rubin’s partnership with Russell Simmons, who provided credibility in business while helping Def Jam become a “a real record company,” in Rubin’s eyes.

Rumors have been swirling about Kylie Jenner, 17, dating Tyga, 24, for some time now, but don’t tell the YMCMB rapper. It seems Tyga isn’t trying to hear any of it.

The Hotel California MC recently lashed out at a follower who criticized him and Kylie on Instagram. The IG user, @smartchik78, had this stinging message for Tyga under this picture of the MC and his son, King:

“Nasty a– pedophile..your career and family is worth losing over this Kardashian baby thot @kyliejenner..I hope @blacchyna takes you away from your son..you should be locked up.”

Tyga didn’t wait too long before responding and he didn’t hold back, either. Check his response below:

“@smartchik78 why u sound so hateful. U don’t know s—- bout my life but the fake s—- u read online. Worry about your sad boring life. U wish u can have a baby by a n—- like me and live this lifestyle.let me guess no one wants u or ever attempted to spoil u and give u the world like I do for mines. Dating rumors were fueled after the two shared photos featuring one another on their IG accounts and they reportedly had dinner together in Beverly Hills recently.

While romantic rumors have not been confirmed, E! reports that a family friend says Kylie and Tyga are just friends.

What happens when Tyga teams up with Chief Keef? “Now And Later” has the answer.

The catchy song, which can be heard below, features Keef in his comfort zone, complete with a hypnotic hook, auto tune and lines like, “Thot breaker…I’m a heart breaker / Now and later / Your b—-, I’m a take her.”

The track, which was produced by Da Brain, is set to be part of Keef’s Thot Breaker project, as referenced in the lyrics above. The Thot Breaker effort is scheduled to be released Valentine’s Day 2015, according to Almighty So’s Twitter page and this hashtag he came up with: #ThotBreakerValentines.

Chief Keef and Tyga made news earlier this year when Keef promoted Game and Tyga’s “Chiraq Remix,” which included Lil Durk disses. Durk would later say he felt Keef disrespected all of Chicago by siding with Game and Tyga in the feud. Cooler heads would eventually prevail and Durk and Keef would settle their differences.

Now, of course, there’s more where “Now And Later” came from. It looks like Keef and Big Sean have some music on the way, too.

Rihanna goes Rogue!

Rogue Man is the name of the singer’s first fragrance for men, something that she says is a dream come true.

Rih Rih made several posts about the fragrance on Twitter Saturday (October 18). In one post, the leader of the Navy delivered a strong message to those who say women can’t make fragrances for men:

“We make men wear fragrance!”

Right on, Rihanna!

Rihanna announced the fragrance in August, but it’s finally here. For Rih Rih, this is also awesome because she says she’s happy to present this to “handsome men” everywhere. Something tells us that men will be happy to get this gift from Rihanna, too.

You tuck your child in and he asks you to check for monsters under the bed. Sounds like a routine night at home, right? Instead, this is the start of a creepy, scary and super-eerie one-minute horror film.

The film, which you can see above, was adapted from a two-sentence horror story posted by a user named justAnotherMuffledVo on reddit about a year ago.

Don’t think a two-line story can be that chilling? Read the post for yourself:

“I begin tucking him into bed and he tells me, ‘Daddy check for monsters under my bed.’ I look underneath for his amusement and see him, another him, under the bed, staring back at me quivering and whispering, ‘Daddy there’s somebody on my bed.’”

And it’s scary to see these words come to life. That’s what Ignacio F. Rodó did when he directed the film, titled “Tuck Me In.”

Rodó says the one-minute movie, which features Luka Schardan and Mark Schardan, has won several awards throughout the world, including film festivals in Spain, Germany, Sweden, Italy and Canada.

That’s great for Rodó, but not so great for those scared of monsters under beds.

Jhene Aiko says there’s at least one thing she won’t rock with and that’s disrespect.

Aiko recently responded to a fan on Instagram who asked why she wasn’t at Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the Def Jam Recordings 30th Anniversary Concert event last week (October 16).

“Unfortunately me and my camp were told to ‘get the f— out’ by ‘workers’ while I was waiting to go on stage, …after this ‘worker’ (male) physically assaulted a member of my management (female) …we had to leave due to the disrespect and hostile environment. If there’s one thing I can’t rock with, it’s disrespect… if me and my band members were any of the rappers that were performing there, we would have never been talked to or treated in such a way. I’m sorry that I was unable to perform for you tonight… hope to see you soon!”

It’s unclear who the “workers” that Aiko references were working for.

We’ve reached out to Def Jam about the incident, but haven’t received a comment at press time.
