Yellowcard Say Goodbye To Longtime Drummer Longineu Parsons

Turn on "Way Away" and prepare to get emotional: Longtime Yellowcard drummer Longineu "LP" Parsons is leaving the band.

The band made the announcement on Thursday (March 13).

"Longineu has decided to pursue other musical interests. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors," the group wrote in statement on Facebook. A replacement has not yet been announced.

Parsons' departure leaves violinist Sean Mackin as the only remaining original member of the band. (Ryan Key replaced vocalist Ben Dobson after the group's debut album, Midget Tossing, while Ryan Mendez joined in 2005 and Josh Portman in 2010.)

The drummer helped form Yellowcard back in 1997, back when he, Ben Dobson, Todd Clary, Warren Cooke, Ben Harper and Sean Mackin met at their high school in Jacksonville, Florida. And apart from the band's hiatus from 2008 to 2010, the drummer has been with them ever since.

While the band is most widely known for its early-2000s albums Ocean Avenue — which housed teenage anthems "Way Away" and "Ocean Avenue" — and Lights and Sounds, their 2012 album Southern Air debuted in the top 10.

Jason Derulo Has A Theory: Larry King ‘Was A Rapper In His Past Life’

When you watch Jason Derulo's celebrity-drenched "Talk Dirty" video, you'll see One Direction doing their their signature dance moves, Pete Wentz playing an air saxophone and Robin Thicke telling you to "talk dirty." But perhaps the best cameo of all came from not a pop star, but late-night talk host Larry King.

The 80-year-old television veteran helps kick off the party by speaking the opening lines of Derulo's inescapable hit: "I'm that flight that you get on. International."

While King's delivery is a bit drier than Derulo's, no one — not even Derulo himself — can deny that the guy nailed the cadence.

"That dude made the video," Derulo told MTV News on Thursday. The singer had just wrapped up an interview with King — a sit-down Derulo considered a "huge deal" — and asked last-minute if he wanted in on the "Talk Dirty" action. "He was just like, 'Yeah, let's go. What do you need me to do?' One time. He did it one time, on the beat and everything. I think he was a rapper in his past life."

23 Celebs Make Cameos In Jason DeRulo's 'Talk Dirty': Can You Spot Them All?

Some people may have been hesitant to ask the legendary host such a favor, but it's all part of the carpe diem attitude Derulo's inherited — and one that's evident throughout the clip.

"I'm just trying to have a good time and live every day like it's my last," he said. "The song is not something that you take too seriously. It's a very fun song that'll ...

‘Veronica Mars’: The Reviews Are In

A long-unsolved mystery is poised to be cracked this weekend, when audience members decide whether to go see the reincarnated "Veronica Mars" movie: Can a short-lived show that's been canceled for the better part of a decade find success on the big screen? Sure, fans loved the series enough to quickly throw record-breaking amounts of money behind the film on Kickstarter last spring, but how will the finished product stack up to the dream of the movie?

Critics have had their shot at the feature-length take on the sassy detective they first met as a teenager. Now she's all grown up and out of the private eye business — or so she thinks. Like Michael Corleone, just when Veronica (Kristen Bell) thinks she's out, she just gets pulled right back in, returning to her hometown of Neptune, Calif. to help former flame Logan (Jason Dohring) clear his name when he's accused of murdering his pop star girlfriend. Read on for critics' takes on the mystery of Veronica Mars and the Kickstarter Movie.

A Very Long Episode
"There's no doubt that Thomas and the "Mars" cast and crew returned to Neptune all these years later because of a deep, abiding love for the series and its characters. However, it's that same love and loyalty that keeps "Veronica Mars" the movie from feeling like anything more than a 107-minute long episode of the show, at best. The movie comes off like a sitcom pitch, a way to show networks or Netflix that a grown-up Veronica Mars deserves a shot at a series. It would ...

Watch As Lil Wayne Dry-Humps His Trailer-Park Fam On ‘Senile’ Video Set

Lil Wayne is loyal to his Young Money crew, but for the squad's latest music video, Tunechi linked up with another family.

"It's just basically like some old Addams Family-type, trailer-park trash and Wayne is just like in these different houses going crazy," Tyga told MTV News on Tuesday when we crashed the set of the video for the current single from YM's recently-released Rise of an Empire compilation LP.

The track, which was released in February, features Tyga, Nicki Minaj and Weezy trading some pretty crazy bars on a sparse and spacey beat. The track was meant for Tyga's upcoming The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty LP, but it quickly became a family affair and ended up a standout on YM's collaboration project, which hit stores on Tuesday.

"Originally it was just a joint from my album that I was gonna drop and I just heard Nicki on it, so I went to the studio where she was recording, I played it for her, and she was like, 'You should put Wayne on it, too,' " Tyga recalled.

"I'm recording my album, so they caught me in the right mood," Wayne chimed in. "I was like, 'I don't care what you send across my table, it could be any song — a Sade song.' "

For the record, even though Wayne is currently recording for Tha Carter V, he tells us he's totally down to do a song with Sade.

Collaboration clearly isn't a problem for the YM boss: He's worked with everyone from Jay Z to Enrique Iglesias. So ...

Chris Brown And Tyga Put A Price On Their Fan Of A Fan Sequel

When Tyga and Chris Brown dropped their Fan of a Fan mixtape in 2010, they gave fans a real gift. Not only did listeners get quality tracks like "48 Bars" and "Drop Top Girl," but they also got hit records like "Deuces" and "No Bullsh--" without having to pay a dime.

By the time the duo drops their long-awaited Fan of a Fan II, however, diehards will have to shell out a few bucks, now that Tyga has revealed that the project will be an official retail release.

"It's gonna be an official album — we're already halfway done with it," T-Raw told MTV News on Tuesday night on the set of Young Money's "Senile" music video.

Last month, the duo released a pair of tracks from the tape, the bouncy "Bitches" and the poppy "Do It."

No word on how the two artists' respective labels (Cash Money and RCA) will make things work, but Tyga has the utmost confidence in the material. He wasn't sure when the project would be released, but said it will definitely come after Breezy's X LP and Tyga's upcoming The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty.

"We got 10 singles right now ready to go, but it's just really about timing, man, because I don't wanna confuse the people," he said. "My album is like dark rap, but then I come with this crazy radio hit with Chris, but then I come with this joint with Wayne, ya know? I just wanna set everything up and do it — it's all about timing."

Justin Bieber Is Still A ‘Piece Of Sh–‘ To Seth Rogen

Seth Rogen isn't backing down from his claims that Justin Bieber is "a piece of sh--," instead, he's doubling down on them.

During a Wednesday (March 12) appearance on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live," Rogen was asked by host Andy Cohen about a tweet he posted following Bieber's DUI arrest in January — one that compared JB to a pile of excrement — and, well, let's just say wasn't ready to apologize.

"In my opinion, Justin Bieber's a piece of sh--," Rogen said, as the audience cheered wildly. "He seems like he's obnoxious and ungrateful and insincere, and he puts people's lives in danger with his horrible, horrible behavior."

As you'd probably expect, those comments didn't sit too well with the Beliebers, who have been slamming Rogen all day with enraged (and, occasionally, grammatically correct) tweets of their own ... though we suspect Seth isn't sweating things. After all, he's got bigger things to deal with, namely promoting his new comedy and attempting to land a role in the upcoming

Bieber, on the other hand, is currently awaiting trial on a variety of charges, including DUI in Miami and assault in Toronto. He also recently gave a rather testy deposition in connection to a lawsuit filed by a paparazzo, who alleges Bieber and his bodyguard roughed him up last year.

This Vintage ‘Veronica Mars’ Interview Will Make You So Nostalgic: Watch

The movie is only one day away, and its release will cap a seven-year wait for loyal Marshmallows. What better way to look forward to the movie than by looking back? It's "Veronica Mars" Throwback Thursday!

First, watch this vintage (2006 is vintage, right?) MTV cast interview with Kristen Bell, Enrico Colantoni (who plays Veronica's dad) and writer/director/creator Rob Thomas, as they talk about how the classic show actually got on the air in the first place.

"There are a few shows out there, great ones like 'Alias' and 'Buffy,' that really give a woman the chance to be strong," Bell said. "And I like the fact that Veronica is so young and able to do that."

These Are The 'Veronica Mars' Books Covers You Wish Actually Existed

Veronica's not quite as young in the upcoming film, but she's still an exemplar of an awesome female character. Amazingly, she almost wasn't a detective at first, but Thomas said that he had to find a new twist on the standard teen character show.

"It was my way to fuse a teen drama and a show that was case-driven," he said. "I might have wanted to do a straight character show like a 'Freaks and Geeks' ... Making the teenager a detective allowed me to get it on the air."

And in case that doesn't have you nostalgic enough, have some fun with these then/now photographs of Bell, Thomas, Colantoni and Veronica's love interests.

A little older, a little wiser, and just a slightly less ridiculously large camera.
