Jaimie Alexander Teases ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Appearance, And Solo Sif Series?

We've already had a touch of Thor's home world Asgard on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.LD." But starting tonight, it's a full-scale invasion as Sif (Jaimie Alexander) guest stars, teaming up with the Agents to find a runaway sorceress named Lorelai (Elena Satine).

After appearing in two "

"Well, funny enough I had seen Clark Gregg at a party about two weeks before I got the call from Marvel," Alexander told us over the phone in advance of the episode. "And he said, 'Hey, so I was curious if ever 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' ever wanted you to appear, would you be game? Would you do it?' And I said, 'Oh yeah, Clark, you know I'd do anything for ya.' Two weeks later I got this phone call, and I said, aw, he was buttering me up."

Though Alexander has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe multiple times, Lady Sif hasn't been the best developed of characters. She's often turned up to offer some advice to Thor, or fight in a big battle sequence. Here on TV, Alexander finally got to bring some of the promise that always existed on screen.

"In the films we would shoot many scenes with Lady Sif, but they would end up getting cut for story purposes, or for time purposes," Alexander recalled. "It was one of those things where I've done things before in the films but they haven't aired. So for me, it was showing more vulnerability, showing more compassion. You do get to see that side in the films, but its very short lived. ...

Rick Ross Scores Another #1 Album With Mastermind

The numbers are in, and it's official, Rick Ross has scored another #1 album with Mastermind.

The album was released on March 3, one day ahead of its planned drop date, and that clearly wasn't a bad move. According to HitsDailyDouble Rozay sold just short of 185, 000 copies to land in the top spot, comfortably beating out Pharrell's #2 album G I R L by approximately 74, 000 copies.

Though the album still hasn't had a radio hit, Ross has rolled out "The Devil is a Lie," featuring Jay Z, "War Ready," featuring Jeezy and "Nobody," featuring Diddy and French Montana.

He recently dropped visuals for the latter tracks, and went all out for "Nobody." In the clip Ross recreates the January 2013 drive-by shooting attempt on his life, while French sings the hook from a police interrogation room.

On Mastermind Ross got a little more personal than usual, even addressing his previous employment as a corrections officer.

"That particular line [on 'Rich is Gangsta'] most definitely referred to me being a C.O.," Ross revealed, during a visit to "RapFix Live." "And that being a job and just understanding the grind and the hustle and anything else I may have done. It's just a job, it's a hustle. And right now, to feed my family — I'd do it again." Well, with these sales, Ross doesn't have to worry about doing it again.

Schoolboy Q's Oxymoron album, which debuted at #1 with 140, 000 copies sold, moved an 30,000 additional units this week, landing at #9 on the charts.

Zedd’s ‘Divergent’ Track All Started With A Text To Miriam Bryant

Miriam Bryant is the name behind the robust vocals on Zedd's latest track "Find You." The 22-year-old Swedish singer may be new in the States, but with one of the best producers in the world behind her, Bryant's career is already swelling.

After hearing Bryant's song "Finders Keepers" on the radio back home in Germany, Zedd knew he needed to work with her. A quick phone call and they were soon creating what would soon be their hit "Find You."

"He sent me like a piano memo, he just recorded it onto his iPhone and he sent it to me like a text message," Miriam told MTV News. "I just fell in love with the chords and the melodies and I just knew that I wanted to be a part of it."

The two spent a year working on the track before bringing in Matthew Koma, the second voice on the song, who fit in right away. "It's been very organic and natural and sort of just very relaxed," she said of the creative process.

Now, in addition to positive reviews and live performances, the song will be featured on the official . Luckily, Miriam is a fan.

"I wanted to know what it was about before I started writing for it, so I read all the books and I just fell in love with the story and the characters." The track is a great addition to an already EDM heavy roster.

Miriam is now in LA hard at work with Zedd on her U.S. album, which sounds promising. "It's ...

Skrillex Is Streaming His New Album: Yeah, We Didn’t Know It Was Coming Either

Skrillex just pulled a Beyoncé. While we all knew he was working on his full-length debut, we had no idea he was just going to drop it out of the blue on Monday night via his old school video game-like app, Alien Ride.

After revealing the songs one-by-one, Skrillex is now streaming Recess on iTunes until its official March 18 release date.

The album opens with "All is Fair in Love and Brostep," a dancehall-style dubstep-meets-Jamaica thumper featuring the Ragga Twins on the song's in-your-face hook. The tune, which, yes, is a totally by-the numbers brostep banger, also features a spoken word bit about how much power is needed to get 1,000 miles from Earth. In other words, everything you'd want from a Skrillex song.

He gets into a more uplifting, party mood on the title track, with ethereal falsetto vocals from Passion Pit's Michael Angelakos and shouted "put your hands in the air" exhortations from hyped radio DJ Fatman Scoop. The ethereal, darker "Stranger" features Sam Dew, along with Milo and Otis and KillaGraham, while "Try It Out (Neon Mix)," with Alvin Risk is packed with glitchy digital scratching and hammering laser effects.(Risk, Milo and Kill the Noise are all signed to Skrill's OWSLA label.)

Things get trippy on "Coast is Clear," which acid MC Chance the Rapper gives a hyped jazzy vibe, with sung/spoken lyrics over a double-time beat accented with horns and piano. "What's your interest/Who you be with/Can I ask a question/Can you keep a secret?" Chance wonders in his raggedy voice, when the ...

One Direction And Little Mix On Tour Together?

Although their time on Demi Lovato's Neon Lights Tour is almost up, Little Mix's schedule won't be letting up.

The British girl group — Jesy, Leigh-Anne, Perrie and Jade — will head back to England, where they're set to kick off the Salute Tour on May 16, their first headlining arena tour.

"I think with our own tour ... we get to have tour outfits and stage production — it's gonna be, like, a million times more vamped up," Jesy said during our special on Monday. "We are so excited because we've worked so hard on our ideas and everything that we want and how we want it to be and the theme."

And fans lucky enough to attend the show in England in May just might get to enjoy another U.K. band, also on tour. One Direction will launch their Where We Are Tour world tour in April, and the guys, of course, have some history with Little Mix.

Both groups competed on the U.K. version of "The X Factor," and ever since, their fanbases have been dying for Little Mix and 1D to join forces and head out on the road together. We asked the girls if that might become a reality soon.

"There was talks about it but it just clashed; we are so busy," Jesy said of a possible tour with 1D. "And, god, they are really, really busy. But you never know though, but for now, no."

So it doesn't seem like we'll get a co-headlining run from the U.K. chart-toppers, but fans will see a Mixer ...

Justin Bieber’s DUI Trial Date Gets Moved … Again

Justin Bieber's DUI trial date has been moved once again.

At a hearing in Miami on Tuesday (March 11), Bieber's hearing date was set for May 5. His trial was originally scheduled to begin on March 3, but was postponed while his lawyers handled the release of police videos that showed the singer submitting to a urine test in a police station.

At the same hearing, prosecutors said that, contrary to reports, Bieber has not been offered a plea deal the case. In late January, he pled not guilty to charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest and possessing an invalid driver's license.

Since being arrested in Miami in January, Bieber's trial date has now been changed twice — it was originally set to begin on February 14 then was bumped to March 3.

The new trial date is just the latest legal development for Bieber this week: On Monday, TMZ released portions of a video deposition he gave in connection to a lawsuit filed by paparazzo Jeffery Binion, who claimed that Justin and one of his bodyguards roughed him up and tried to take a memory card from his camera.

He's also facing assault charges in his native Canada, stemming from an alleged incident with a limousine drive in Toronto. A hearing on that case occurred on Monday, though Bieber was not present. Instead, his lawyer, Seth Weinstein, appeared before a judge to answer to that charge.

Who Watched Lindsay Lohan’s OWN Debut?

First the good news: Lindsay Lohan's OWN network debut kicked the ratings for the sought-after women 18-34 demo on that channel up more than 230 percent from the previous year.

... The bad news, though, is that despite plenty of advance hype and curiosity about Lohan's post-rehab career and life reboot,
landed with a modest pop rather than a bang, failing to reach the ratings of her earlier "Oprah's Next Chapter" interview and placing her third in unscripted shows on the network.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sunday night's first episode had 693,000 viewers, which marked the best unscripted premiere for the struggling OWN network so far this year. By contrast, August's
interview drew 892,000 viewers when it first aired, and another 504,000 in an encore.

"We had set out to try to attract a different type of viewer and audience to the network and we felt like we did that — especially young women demo which is up by triple digits," OWN president Erik Logan told Deadline of the demo of viewers that normally "don't come here." That uptick was proven in the premiere's .53 rating, which was up 231 percent from the same night last year.

"We thought this was a great opportunity for us — we feel great about the young end of the numbers, and the premiere in a time slot we never programmed before on a most competitive night of television," Logan said.

But among other reality shows on OWN, the eight-episode "Lindsay" came in third in total viewers, behind self-help guru "Iyanla: ...

‘True Detective’: Everything We Know About Season 2 (And What To Watch Until Then)

It's time to face the fact that the story of Rustin Cohle and Marty Hart is over. The first season of "True Detective" came to an end on Sunday in a way that satisfied fans of the characters played by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, but it also probably pissed off anyone who just didn't want the story to end.

Little by little, writer and creator Nic Pizzolatto has shared some of what to expect for his next installment in the anthology, but that's hardly enough to sate you, right?

So what now? With details on a second season relatively scant, it's time to look elsewhere for your fix of intelligent crime dramas, and I have a number of recommendations that will help get you through to whenever HBO decides to make another set of episodes.

What We Know About Next Season

Despite the Internet's enthusiastic recommendations for #TrueDetectiveSeason2, Pizzolatto hasn't revealed all that much about what's next. Actually, HBO hasn't either. The network has yet to officially green light another entry in the anthology, but considering that the series raked in about 11 million viewers for the premium channel, it seems likely that they're just waiting on Pizzolatto's scripts and possibly for the principal casting to come together.

From what Pizzolatto has said about his second tale, the only elements sticking around from the story of Rust and Hart are strangeness and "bad men." The series creator told HitFix that the major lesson he learned from season one was not to "play the next one straight," and he summed ...
