Watch This Brilliant ‘True Detective’ Shot-For-Shot Remake Using ‘Star Wars’ Characters

It's a story of two crime-fighting partners, one of whom might, after years of service, become consumed by the darkness.

Sound familiar? That's the basic premise of But it also is a handy synopsis of the relationship between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader in the saga.

Once we realized that, it only made sense to wonder what "True Detective" might look like if it took place in a galaxy far, far away. Thanks to this mash-up that puts "Star Wars" characters in the "True Detective" main title sequence, we never have to wonder again.

Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi take the place of Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as both their younger and older selves, with appearances by Anakin's tortured wife (Padme) and his daughter (Princess Leia), who is quite literally a rebellious teenager.

But who, in this version, is the yellow king? C-3P0 probably wouldn't be a bad guess.

Check out the mash-up, and hope HBO gives us a second season of "True Detective" that can match this level of awesomeness.

Exclusive: Ed Sheeran’s New Single Is A Kiss-Off To An Ex, F-Bombs Included

Ed Sheeran's not pulling any punches on the first single from his new album, except when it comes to the radio edit.

After all, the song (Ed wouldn't reveal the title just yet) does feature several rather fantastic uses of the F-word, a fact that probably won't go unnoticed by programmers at radio stations around the world. So, for the first — and perhaps only — time in his career, he was willing to compromise.

"I tried other words, I tried 'mess,' I tried 'funk,' lots of other things, but none of them worked," he laughed. "I think if you're going to swear on a track, make it worth it. There's no point swearing just for the sake of it ... but, if taking away a certain cuss word lightens the load of a song, I don't agree with that. So, I've kept certain words in just because it makes the song what it is. But I'm I'm definitely giving radio and edit they can play, because I'd be mental not to."

Of course, as his fans know, F-bombs are nothing new for Sheeran ... but it's the way they're used in this new song — with a pissed-off purpose — that may come as a surprise. And, yes, even Ed will admit that the single will definitely raise a few eyebrows. That's practically the point.

"When I wrote the first single, the album was pretty much done, and I was just going into the studio to vent; something frustrating had happened and I just wanted to get it all out," ...

‘Sin City’ Trailer: A Closer Look At That ‘Dame To Kill For’

Sin City is the place you go with your eyes open, or you don't come out at all.

Much the same can be said for the new , too. The consequences aren't as dire as, say, losing your life, if you happen to miss a face or two in the new trailer. Still, with so many blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments in this first glimpse of Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's return to "Sin City," it's worth stopping down to take a closer look.

Here's an eye-opening guided view of the various faces populating the new "Sin City" trailer.

Let's start with an easy one: That's Ray Liotta! You know him from such films as "Goodfellas" and "Killing Them Softly." Here, he's Joey, a bad businessman looking for a way out of a bad marriage. Apparently, that way includes a silenced pistol. But who's that up there in the skylight?

That's Josh Brolin! He plays crusading photographer Dwight McCarthy. But didn't Clive Owen play Dwight in the original? He sure did. So what's Brolin doing here?

Let's just say it might be a temporary stay and leave it at that. As for why Brolin looks so messed up, you can blame that on...

...Eva Green as Ava Lord, the titular dame to kill for. She's an old love from Dwight's past, and she resurfaces to ask for his help in getting out of her troubled marriage.

But it doesn't really look like Ava needs Dwight's help, does it? It shouldn't spoil much to tell you that Ava is going ...

Andrew Garfield Reveals ‘The Facts’ About Batkid’s Oscars Snub

Batkid, the superhero phenomenon better known in his daily life as five-year-old cancer survivor Miles Scott, was set to turn the Oscars stage into his very own Gotham City — but on the evening of the Academy Awards, those plans changed.

Instead, "Captain America" actor Chris Evans was called onstage to present a series of movie clips meant to honor superheroes. Originally, "Spider-Man" star Andrew Garfield was supposed to present the clips, ending the segment by bringing Batkid on stage and honoring him as an official superhero.

Rumors began circulating that it was Garfield's decision to withdraw from the segment, with Page Six reporting that "in the middle of the dress rehearsal, Garfield decided he didn't like his lines." The report further states that Garfield rewrote the script, and when it was deemed "not appropriate" by producers, "Garfield had a tantrum. He stormed off. Miles and his family, who were at the rehearsal, were devastated."

Now, Garfield's own representatives have spoken out about the supposed snub, to dispute those claims and make it known that Batkid and Spider-Man are very much on speaking terms.

"Here are the facts," Garfield's rep Rupert Fowler told Us Weekly. "In full collaboration with the Academy and the show writer, Andrew prepared a segment for the Oscars to honor Miles Scott as the true hero that he is. At some point overnight on Saturday/Sunday morning, it was decided by those running the show that the segment didn't work in the ceremony."

"They decided to pull it - Andrew and Miles were equally upset," ...

Another Rick Ross And Jeezy Collaboration On The Way

Rick Ross and Jeezy showed the hip-hop world that they can do more together as collaborators than they can as rap adversaries. Now, after the release of their highly touted get-together, fans are in for another treat, Rozay reveals.

"We knocked out two records. One is mine, one is his," Ross told "RapFix Live" host Sway when he appeared on Wednesday's show.

Ross, DJ Khaled and MMG's Fat Trel came onto the show to talk about Rozay's brand-new Mastermind album and dissect all that went into recording the LP. The Maybach Music boss says that his hook-up with the Snowman wasn't some grand rap scheme — things just happened to work out.

"It wasn't nothing that was planned. It wasn't planned at all," Ross confirmed. "Me and [Jeezy] ran into each other — my homeys over there, his homeys on the other side of the door — and we just chopped it up," he added of Jeezy, who he had a well-publicized skirmish with backstage at the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards.

"Where I'm from, if you ain't shed no blood, if you ain't lose no money behind it, it's really small talk," Rozay continued. "When me and him chopped it up, we did it like bosses and said, 'Let's set an example for the next set of entrepreneurs. It's bigger than us. Let's do it for the South, let's do it for the game.' "

The Mike Will Made It-produced track finds the former foes trading bullying bars over pulsating 808s and pounding drums. Ross didn't give much ...

Ke$ha Leaves Rehab… And Drops The Dollar Sign?

Two months after entering a Chicago facility for an eating disorder, it looks like Ke$hais out of rehab, back to work and, from the looks of her Twitter account, devoid of her signature dollar sign.

"Happy to be back! Feeling healthy & working on tons of new music🐱," the pop singer tweeted on Wednesday night, breaking a nearly month-and-a-half-long silence on the social media site. "I can't thank my fans enough for all the love & support u have given me❤️️"

In addition to dropping the dollar sign, the Warrior singer also changed her Twitter handle from @Keshasuxx to the more demure @KeshaRose -- perhaps a reflection of her more positive view on life post-rehab.

"life is beautiful," she added. "I'm so blessed to have u all."

Ke$ha entered Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center on January 3 to treat a long struggle with bulimia and, in her words "to learn to love myself again."

"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice," she said in a statement to MTV News in January. "I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder ... to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am."

Her reps have yet to respond to MTV News' request for comment, but considering she also shared a photo of herself on a plane, it looks like she's indeed headed home.
