Watch Conan O’Brien’s Insane Reaction To Nailing MTV Movie Awards Hosting Gig

Sure, Matthew McConaughey gave an emotional speech
and Ellen DeGegeres broke the Internet with her epic selfie.

But as far as Conan O'Brien is concerned that's all a pile of trash. "Sitting here before me are some of the most prestigious awards an artist can receive: the Oscar, the Golden Globe, the BAFTA, the Screen Actor's Guild Award, the Peabody Award and, of course, the Nobel Peace Prize," explained O'Brien of the startling array of (we assume fake) hardware he assembled on his desk on Tuesday night's broadcast of his TBS late night show.

"People work their entire lives in an attempt to earn just one of these incredible awards. But if you ask me, they're all garbage!" he shouted, as he swept the lot of them off his desk. "Garbage! It's Garbage!"

Why? "There's only one award, one award in the world that truly matters. I'm talking about the MTV Movie Award." It's exactly that kind of enthusiasm for the golden popcorn that earned O'Brien the coveted host slot
for the Movie Awards and we couldn't be any happier about it.

O'Brien will bring that hype to the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live stage at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on MTV in celebration of the year's best movies and performances. The 2014 MTV Movie Awards will also feature exclusive sneak previews of the summer's most anticipate movies with never-before seen footage and previews. The nominees will be revealed on March 6 at 7 a.m. ET when nominations go live on MovieAwards.MTV.com.

Oh, and one more thing. Don't worry, Conan said, by April ...

‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’: Inside Coulson’s Magical Discovery

Warning: Frost Giant-sized spoilers ahead!

Tahiti isn't just a magical place — it's a magical acronym.

The latest episode of took Coulson and viewers to "T.A.H.I.T.I.," the magical name that Clark Gregg's stone-jawed agent has bandied about since the very beginning of the series. And while the full scope of the T.A.H.I.T.I. project remains unrevealed, the episode closed out with a jaw-dropper straight out of "Prometheus."

Seeing is believing, but it's still hard to believe that this blue-hued monster torso is the same "GH" that brought Coulson back to life. Nevertheless, that's what we're led to believe, as Coulson learns that the serum responsible for his resurrection comes from this crazy-looking creature. Whatever serum it produced is now flowing through Skye's veins, as well — and if she's already an 0-8-4, there's no telling what the GH Juice will do to her now.

So, what is this GH thing, anyway? Looking at it, two theories spring to mind: (1) It's an Engineer from "Prometheus," which is ridiculous, but would somehow be less ridiculous than "Prometheus" itself. (2) It's a Frost Giant as seen in the "Thor" movies. It shares the same basic build and color, if not the same tribal markings.

But what would a Frost Giant be doing on Earth, under such high-level lock-and-key? Is it dead, or is it growing? Is this a test-tube Frost Giant, some kind of lab-grown experiment?

Keep in mind that "T.A.H.I.T.I." ends with the introduction of Lorelai, a direct lead-in to next week's Lady Sif episode. "S.H.I.E.L.D." is moving into Asgard ...

‘Transformers: Age Of Extinction’ Trailer: Watch Now

"Hey, Optimus Prime. Say hi to your mother for me, alright?"

Those are not the words uttered by Mark Wahlberg in the brand-new trailer for unfortunately; just the words we hope wind up in the actual film itself. Instead, the latest look at footage from director Michael Bay's fourth "Transformers" movie highlights another tone entirely — something considerably darker and more action-packed than even the wildest Andy Samberg-fueled fever-dream could cook up.

The new "Transformers" movie casts aside the Shia LaBeouf of yesterday (and not a moment too soon, given the actor's recent public image problems), leaning toward a new corner of the mythology instead. Wahlberg represents the flesh-and-blood side of the cast, playing Cade Yeager, an inventor and single father, trying to protect his daughter Tessa (Nicola Peltz) from her race car driver boyfriend, Shane (Jack Reynor).

Cade's overprotectiveness goes into overdrive with new focus when he's thrust into the middle of the ancient rivalry between Optimus Prime's Autobots and the ruthless Decepticons. Four years have passed since the Battle of Chicago, but the Transformers' impact has left a deep scar on all of mankind — and now, just as that scar has started to heal, it looks like the eternal conflict between Autobots and Decepticons is about to reopen old wounds.

While some fans are divided over Michael Bay's return to the "Transformers" universe, there's one silver lining that just about everyone can agree upon: Finally, at long last, we're getting the Dinobots in a live-action "Transformers" movie. There's simply no way that Grimlock ...

John Travolta Breaks Silence On Idina Menzel Name-Slaughter

He tried. He really, really tried.

But when John Travolta took the stage at the Academy Awards to introduce Idina Menzel for her performance of the Oscar-winning "Frozen" hit, "Let It Go," the "Hairspray" actor just couldn't seem to get her name right.

In fact, what came out -- "Adele Dazeem" -- wasn't even close to the correct pronunciation. And while in the days since Sunday's show we've all been laughing about it and using the Travolta-fying our own names, John has been pretty torn up about the whole thing.

"I've been beating myself up all day," Travolta said in a statement to E! News on Tuesday (March 4), in his first public response to the slip-up. "Then I thought...What would Idina Menzel say? She'd say, 'Let it go, let it go!' Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy 'Frozen' took home two Oscars Sunday night!"

We see what you did there.

Menzel has yet to comment on the name-slaughter, but didn't seem the least bit fazed when she performed on Monday Night's "The Tonight Show."

Demi Lovato Debuts ‘IDGAF’ Haircut: See Her Half-Shaved ‘Do

Forget her dirty blonde country-girl days of "Made in the USA": Demi Lovato has gone full-on bad girl with her new haircut, and she couldn't seem to care less what people think about it.

"IDGAF💗💋😝 #NEONLIGHTSTOUR," Demi tweeted on Tuesday (March 4), with a photo of her new 'do, which features the left front portion of her head shaved, channeling Rihanna in a decidedly more edgy look.

Earlier in the day, she posted a picture of her chopped-off locks, accompanied by the equally impassive caption, "So.... This happened...... Oops."

Most of her bright-pink locks are still there, but it brings the "Let It Go" singer a fresh new look in the middle of her Neon Lights trek. And like she's given herself a makeover, when MTV News caught up with Demi last month, she and musical director Nick Jonas said her music will be getting a transformation too.

"What we did, we looked online to what her fans wanted to hear and what she's played on the last couple tours and just said, 'OK, these are the songs we should play, how can we re-imagine them and make them sound like her sound now?' " Jonas said. "So a lot of these songs aren't even the original arrangements. They've been completely reimagined."

Demi added, "We've made them more current too, so we've transformed songs that went from being made a couple years ago to actually sounding like today's music."

‘South Park: The Stick Of Truth’: Read Our Hands-On Review

While "South Park" and its nearly two-decade run have proved that creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker know how to make funny, insightful and grotesque commentary on society, the series hasn't been as successful in the video game world.

But "Stick of Truth" seeks to finally conquer the gaming space by delivering a fairly solid interactive experience for die-hard fans. If you count yourself among them, it's a must-play.

The New Kid on the Park
"Stick of Truth" tells a grand tale of adventure and wizards and other high-fantasy stuff, from the view from the children of South Park. While it all seems innocent enough, the battle for the titular Stick of Truth — a legendary MacGuffin that grants the holder unlimited power — is causing chaos among the kids.

This is where you come into the fold. As "The New Kid"— a nameless, voiceless protagonist — you've recently moved to South Park and your parents force you to make some friends. You'll soon come upon Butters, where he'll take you to the Wizard King, Cartman. It seems you've been foretold as the chosen one and must resolve the conflict between the humans and elves. While at first the story is straightforward, eventually the fantasy tale becomes something much more with aliens, zombies, and government agencies hiding some dark secret about your past. Along the way, hilarious situations and references galore pervade "The Stick of Truth."

Hooowdy Ho!
From the go, you'll notice that the game is cut from the same cloth from any episode. It almost seems as if South Park Studios handed the keys ...

‘The Voice’ Recap: Usher Makes Show History With The Foot Push

Week two of blind auditions began Monday night (March 3) on "The Voice," as the talent kept coming and coaches Adam Levine, Shakira, Usher, and Blake Shelton continued to fill the slots on their teams.

We thought it would have been hard for the Emmy-winning singing competition to tops its premiere week, but then we saw Blake's celebratory moonwalk, sat in on Shakira's impromptu history lesson, suffered a series a mini heart attacks because of Usher's last-minute button pushing, drooled over Adam's pleading puppy dog eyes, and realized just how wrong we were. Here are a few of the night's highlights.

Moonwalkin' With The Garbage Man
When 33-year-old Ryan Whyte Maloney hit the stage for his blind audition, it wasn't long until his smooth tone and high register got all four of the coaches to turn around. "I'm not from Vegas," Usher told the guitar-wielding garbage man from Las Vegas, "but I'm willing to gamble." In the end, rocker Maloney landed himself a spot on Team Blake, and Shelton gloated with a celebratory moonwalk.

Royal Nanny
Texas native Sam Behymer's unique and quirky sound resonated with Levine and Usher. The 25-year-old nanny's rendition of Lorde's "Royals" was a "breath of fresh air" to Levine, and left Usher reminding her that individuality was his "specialty" in this competition (referring, of course, to season four's Michelle Chamuel). Behymer chose to be on Team Adam.

Usher's Fleeting Feet See Double
The night's one and only duo to hit the blind audition stage was Brothers Walker. The 26-year-old identical twins took on Zac Brown Band's "Keep Me ...
