‘Lego Movie’ Sequel: It’s Happening

The is stacking up to be an unbreakable franchise.

After Phil Lord and Chris Miller's big-screen recreation of the childhood toy crushed the President's Day box-office record, Warner Bros. confirmed to MTV News on Friday (February 21) that a second LEGO movie will be released on May 26, 2017.

There's no word yet on who will be returning for round two. ("The Lego Movie" boasts an A-list cast including Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett and Alison Brie.)

But we'd be surprised if they didn't want more LEGO: On top of raking in $69.1 million at the box office in its first weekend, the animated tale has also gotten thumbs-up across the board from critics, a rarity for toy-based films. (Sorry, "G.I. Joe.") The film had a near-perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes with critics praising the "insane level of invention" animation-wise and its heartwarming yet irreverent storyline.

So, where could a sequel take us? We've already conjured up some possibilities -- an Iron Man appearance? A trip to the Bionicle world? -- but it's a bit early for that. There's still 1,189 days left until we'll get to see Emmett and Lucy back on the big screen. Till then, we'll just be putting together the 2,471-piece "Metal Beard's Sea Cow" LEGO set.

Is This Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V Track List? See For Yourself

First, Drake made the surprise announcement that Lil Wayne's much-anticipated Tha Carter V will be released on May 5, 2014 and now, an anonymous attendee of Engineer Mike B's private listening session has leaked what looks to be the album's track list.

According to a photo that was sent to Rap-Up, the fifth installment of Weezy's signature LP series will feature 12 tracks, with features from Kanye West, Future, J. Cole, Game, Nas and more.

Drizzy and Cash Money's newest signee Young Thug will feature on a track called "They Ain't With Us," while The Weeknd and Future will lend their talents to a song titled "Not a Chance." According to the insider, Meek Mill, Nas and Kanye West bring lyrical heat to songs called "Kill 'Em," "Forty" and "No Answers," respectively.

Reportedly, Future Vandross drops a head-nodding hook on "Flown" ("I know you flown, and I know you down to fly, down to fly, down to fly"), while Birdman helps the YMCMB head honcho thank his fans for their unyielding support throughout the years on the outro, "The End."

"Wayne really pulls out all the stops for his final album," the insider told Rap-Up. "The features are on point."

Fans should take the list with a grain of salt, though, because Wayne's proclivity for creating records in the studio could warrant numerous changes before the album drops this spring.

A rep for Lil Wayne had not responded to MTV News' request for confirmation by press time.

The leaked track list:

» "Intro" (feat. Game, Drake)
» "Flown" (feat. Birdman, Future)
» "Kill 'Em" (feat. ...

Pop Songs Are Cool, But Kid Ink’s Excited To Perform ‘More Rap Records’ On Tour

Kid Ink kicked off the year by releasing his major-label debut, and now the Los Angeles MC is ready to take the show on the road.

On April 1, Ink will launch his My Own Lane Tour in Vancouver, with Bad Boy spitter King Los and Miami-based up-and-comer Bizzy Crook as tourmates.

"Me and Los have worked together since 2010, so I know my fans already appreciate him. So adding him to the bill was a no-brainer," Ink told MTV News on Friday (February 21) via phone. "As for Bizzy, DJ Ill Will kinda put me up on his underground wave and following. We wanted to bring along some new blood that would complement myself and Los to make an entire package that can be enjoyed from doors opening to doors closing."

Ink promises a high-energy show from start to finish, and his current pop single, "Show Me" with Chris Brown, is sure to be a highlight. But Ink said he's looking forward to flexing more of his rap skills.

"I am personally excited to do some of the more rap records with my core fans, like 'Murda,' 'Movement,' 'No Options,' etcetera," he said. "There is nothing like the feeling of a whole building rapping alongside you, word for word, a song that has never touched the radio or television."

Tickets are now available on LiveNation.com. Kid Ink's My Own Lane Tour dates below:

» 4/1 - Vancouver, BC @ Commodore Ballroom
» 4/2 - Seattle, WA @ Neptune
» 4/4 - San Francisco, CA @ The Fillmore
» 4/6 - Hollywood, CA @ House Of Blues ...

Beyonce Upgrades Her Mrs. Carter Show Tour: New Songs, Sequins, Surprises

Leave it to Beyoncé to keep fans on their toes. The chart-topping diva kicked off the European leg of her 2014 Mrs. Carter World Tour in Glasgow, Scotland, on Thursday with brand- new in-concert renditions of the latest hits from her recent self-titled album.

Bey performed "***Flawless" and "Partition" and paired the songs with sexy choreo from their respective music videos (burlesque hair-ography included). She even reprised her 2014 Grammy chair dance for "Drunk in Love."

Continuing with cuts from her Beyoncé LP, she rocked out with her dancers for "Yonce" and "Blow" before finally serenading the crowd with "Heaven" as the closer.

But the tour upgrades didn't stop with the set list. Bey, always a fan of sparkle, donned glittery catsuits, elegant gowns, even bedazzled plaid, for each new song. As MTV Style reported, the flashy new duds are courtesy of designers Givenchy and Riccardo Tisci, among others.

Get the Scoop Behind Beyoncé's New Mrs. Carter Show Costumes

You may remember that back in April 2013, Bey surprised fans at a Paris concert with an impromptu performance of "Grown Woman," off of her then-forthcoming album. Well, if that one new song was considered a breath of fresh air, think of this revamped show as the pop&B diva giving her fans life.

This leg will be making stops in England, Ireland and Spain before finishing up in Lisbon, Portugal, on March 27th. And after that? Who knows. But 'King B' shows no signs of slowing down or relinquishing her throne.

Vic Mensa Has A ‘Powerful’ Recipe For His Next Album

Vic Mensa is readying his next project, but don't call it a mixtape.

"I'm definitely working on a new album. I'm not gonna drop the details on the name or anything yet, but I got a lot of records that I'm working on. It's by far my most powerful and strongest music," the rising Chicago rap star told "RapFix Live" host Sway Calloway on Wednesday when he appeared on the show.

Mensa's last project, 2013's INNANETAPE featured all original production from notables like Hit-Boy, Boi-1da, Christian Rich and DJ Dahi. Singles like the soulful "Orange Soda" have helped to establish Mensa as a lyricist, and since the album's release he has hit the road with J. Cole, Wale, Disclosure and has upcoming European dates with Danny Brown. Even with all that he has going on, Vic has managed to make a dent in his next LP. "I just been staying focused on it, even with all of the traveling and transit that I've been in. Just staying creative and working on it as much as I can," he said.

Mensa confirms that he'll drop singles and have a number of features ahead of the new album, but there won't be a mixtape coming — and for good reason.

"I don't really know about the term mixtape in 2014, mixtapes to me are like Lil Wayne rapping over everybody's beats," he said, making a distinction between his specific brand of music. "Everything I do is all over original production."

Steve Jobs Might Appear On A Stamp: Here’s Six More Faces We’d Like To Lick

Stamps: You lick 'em, you stick 'em, you bust 'em out when a tweet won't do, and, come 2015, they could be emblazoned with Steve Jobs' face — among other luminaries.

Thursday, The Washington Post revealed a list of approved postage stamp subjects slated to appear on those little lick-y things over the course of the next few years.

The Apple co-founder was on the list, as well as Michael Jackson, James Brown, Jim Morrison and Dora The Explorer. Granted, those entrants are subject to change, but the list is still pretty eclectic — George W. Bush appears right there next to guitars!

"The postal service is looking to bring more timely, relevant, contemporary subjects to stamps ... pop-culture subjects appealing to younger audiences," USPS spokesman Roy Betts told CNN. "It creates excitement."

Well, USPS, although I am certainly trembling with excitement at the prospect of licking Steve Jobs' face, might I suggest a few additions to really get tongues wagging?

Katy Perry’s ‘Dark Horse’ Video: Is ‘Katy-Patra’ Her Greatest Role?

In her brand-new video, Katy Perry becomes "Katy-Patra," Queen of Egypt, mistress of dance and devourer of Flamin' Hot Cheetos.

In many ways, it was the role she was seemingly born to play (and not just because, like the queen, KP loves Flamin' Hot Cheetos too) ... then again, over the course of her career, Katy's continued to prove that there's no character she can't channel ... in a lot of ways, she's sort of the Daniel Day-Lewis of pop.

So, in celebration of her latest on-screen achievement, we're taking a look back at all the roles Katy has tackled. Consider it "Inside the Actors Studio," only with way more sparkles.

A Rock Chick
Katy first grabbed our attention with a supporting turn in P.O.D.'s "Goodbye For Now," where she played an angsty rocker who belts out a few lines (and wears a single, fingerless glove). Like the bros in the band, she's really feeling it, and though her time on screen is limited, her star quality is readily apparent.

A Girl in a Hoodie
Katy stole the spotlight with her starring role in Gym Class Heroes' "Cupid's Chokehold/Breakfast in America" clip, playing frontman Travie McCoy's girlfriend (in a hoodie). Why was she so convincing? Probably because, at the time, she actually was McCoy's GF ... though, as you are probably aware, that didn't end so well.

The Bride
Her role as a jilted bride in "Hot n Cold" garnered rave reviews ("We liked it," her parents probably enthused, since they make a cameo), and served notice that she is ...
