Exclusive: Mikey Way Moves On From My Chemical Romance With Electric Century

Mikey Way began planning Electric Century long before My Chemical Romance hit it big, he just didn't have the means to pull it off ... mostly because he was 12.

"I was in my seventh-grade science class, and I wrote 'Electric Century' on a notebook, and I was like 'I want to do this band,'" he told MTV News. "And right then I began filing away the kind of music I wanted it to be: Britpop, the party influence of bands like the Happy Mondays, New Order, Public Image Ltd. It was always something I wanted to do."

And now, with MCR officially over, he's finally (re)turning his attention to the project, teaming with David Debiak (Sleep Station, New London Fire) to make Electric Century a reality. The band was formally unveiled Wednesday, when Way's image graced Alternative Press' "100 Bands You Need To Know" issue, and since then, things have hit hyperspeed (EC is still so new that they don't have an official press image).

But that's fine with Way and Debiak ... after all, they've been waiting for this moment for a while.

"We were supposed to have a little break after [My Chem's 2006 album] The Black Parade, and I was like 'Dave, me and you should really get together and start writing stuff,'" Way explained. "But unfortunately, we jumped right into another album after Black Parade, so we didn't have a chance to do it ... but we talked about it a lot.. And that basically continued for about four years. I told Dave 'I ...

When Lorde Met Mac Miller: Watch Him Describe The ‘Awesome’ Encounter

Who doesn't love Lorde? The 17-year-old sensation has taken a hold of the pop world, not only with her breakout hit "Royals," but with her cool and collected approach to fame. And she's getting attention outside of pop, as well: Mac Miller tells us when he first met the singer, he was immediately drawn to her.

"Lorde, I didn't know what type of person she was going to be, because she is getting so much acclaim right now. But she's just awesome, awesome person," Mac told MTV News on February 7, after he returned from his trip to Australia, where he met the breakout star.

"I love Lorde, I think she's creative and she believes what she says and that's to me the most important thing about any artist," he continued. "You're saying something to the world, do you believe it?"

During his trip, Mac even snapped a picture with Lorde and posted it to Instagram with a caption that read: "Very awesome person. Very pure soul."

Mac isn't sure if a collaboration would happen just yet — he doesn't feel like he's on her level — but we think he was just being modest.

"I'm not really on her level yet skill-wise, but me and Diplo will do something because he likes to make money," he said jokingly of his "Goosebumpz" collaborator.

We Found Cee Lo’s Replacement On ‘The Voice’

Cee Lo Green surprised us all with his "bomb" of an announcement on Wednesday that he would not be returningto "The Voice." Cee Lo has been with the show for four seasons and he, along with his cat Purrfect, will be sorely missed. However, it got us wondering: Who will replace Cee Lo in season 7? Based on the show's successful formula of three guy coaches and a woman, I've picked 11 men that would make perfect mentors... and have great chemistry with season seven coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera.

Justin Timberlake
No one could be more perfect for this role than Justin Timberlake. Not only is he a talent beyond belief, (just watch his 2013 VMA performance) but if he joins the show, he would be sitting right next to Christina, which gives us flashbacks of the Mickey Mouse Club and their Justified/Stripped tour. Ah, memories.

Pharrell
It would make us so "Happy" to have Pharrell on the panel. Not only does he do the work behind the scenes, but he's an accomplished singer in his own right. As a mentor in season four, he's more than prepared for the red chairs. Also, if there is a chance to see Pharrell in that fabulous haton a weekly basis, then sign me up.

Drake
Drake would be a breath of fresh air on the show, bringing his million-dollar smile, his killer rap skills and smooth vocals. Drake's nice-guy personality would fit in nicely alongside Blake and Adam, and I could see him getting his flirt on ...

‘Terminator’ Reboot Casts ‘Divergent’ Star In Major Role

Even after a supporting role in the upcoming "Jai Courtney isn't quite ready to leave behind bleak, futuristic worlds.

According to Variety, the "Good Day to Die Hard" star is in talks to join the upcoming "Terminator" reboot — set for release next summer — as Kyle Reese, the father of humanity's only hope against robot overlords, John Connor.

Reportedly called "Terminator: Genesis," the reboot will kick off a new, standalone trilogy. It will also welcome back the man behind the series' most iconic moments, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Jason Clarke from "Zero Dark Thirty" and Emilia Clarke from "Game of Thrones" have already signed up for roles.

"Terminator: Genesis" will continue the story of man's struggle to survive after an all-powerful, self-aware computer system, Skynet, takes control of the world, and the reboot brings some of the series' most important characters back into the fold.

Jason Clarke takes on the role of John Connor after Christian Bale most recently played him in "Terminator: Salvation." Edward Furlong and Nick Stahl played previous iterations of the future savior. The movie's other Clarke, Emilia, takes on the iconic role of Sarah Connor, John's mother, originated by all-time badass Linda Hamilton.

Courtney can be seen next in "Divergent" when that movie opens in theaters next month.

"Thor: The Dark World" and "Game of Thrones" director Alan Taylor will helm the first installment of the trilogy. It's unclear at this point how the story of "Genesis" will relate to the previous four installments of the series, which was originally started by James Cameron back in 1984.

"Terminator: Genesis" is scheduled ...
