‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Trailer: Watch Now

The first trailer for "Guardians of the Galaxy" is now online, finally giving us a real look at Marvel Studios' most surprising movie to date. The heroes of the title — Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Groot and Rocket Raccoon — are all characters from the pages of Marvel Comics, but they aren't of the superhero variety.

As you can see in the trailer, the Guardians of the Galaxy are more of the sarcastic, badass space-warrior type.

The reason you may not have heard about the Guardians of the Galaxy is because they've only existed as a team since 2008. That was when the band of misfits first got together to protect the universe from cataclysmic disasters and widespread destruction, eliminating potential threats before they grew. The series ran for two years and became a favorite among readers and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

Now the little-known team is ready for its debut on the biggest stage in the game, the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first trailer introduces wider audiences to the colorful cast of the characters that are sure to be household names come this summer.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" follows Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), a half-alien child of the 80s who comes into possession of a powerful blue orb and then quickly lands in a space prison. There he meets with his future teammates: the deadly Gamora (Zoe Saldana), the vengeful Drax (Dave Bautista), the gun-toting raccoon Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and the sentient tree Groot (Vin Diesel). The five of them break out together and travel the universe, all the while avoiding ...

PREMIERE: Mozes And The Firstborn’s ‘Bloodsucker’ Video Will Make You Cringe

Have you had your daily dose of unnerving yet today? No? Well, you best check out Mozes and the Firstborn's new video for "Bloodsucker," off of their recently released self-titled record. Let's just say that the vid takes the title pretty literally.

I'm not talking about vampires or anything of that ilk here; the video features a man going through a relatively normal toothbrushing routine — until things take a surprisingly bloody turn.

"When Raven and I were bouncing back and forth ideas for the video I remembered this dream I had a while ago," lead singer Melle Dielesen told MTV News, referring to the band's drummer. "I was brushing my teeth with a razor blade and it obviously freaked me out."

The video was also inspired by a short film by Martin Scorsese titled "The Big Shave," in which a man shaves away first his hair, then his skin.

"When Raven and I were brainstorming we decided it had to be something unsettling, something that would catch the viewer off guard and make him feel uneasy," Dielesen added. "The idea of brushing your teeth with a razor blade just seemed to feel right and fit the mood of the song."

The song, like many jams on the Dutch band's album, is simple — yet cutting (pun intended). Driving verses ("Do you really think you're all that matters?/Do you really fear you're on your own?) lead into an almost lilting chorus (the crooned word "bloodsucker") leaving the listener, and protagonist, flayed bare.

When it came to the actual ...

How Taylor Swift And Hayley Williams Helped Fun.’s Guitarist Go Solo

For nearly a year now, Fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff has had a secret: He's been making an album.

On Tuesday, he finally let the world have a listen, unveiling a rousing, rushing slice of electro-pop from a project he's calling Bleachers. There's a tour set to kick off next month (including a performance at the mtvU Woodie Awards) and a full album due in the spring ... but today, Antonoff is still trying to figure out how to talk about the music that's meant so much to him — and mostly only him — for so long now.

Turns out, it's a lot more difficult than you'd imagine.

"I spent the past year working on the music but not talking about it, and eventually it became this psychotic alter-ego situation, where it was second nature to have this part of me that no one knew about," he told MTV News. "Except for a small group of people, most of which happened to be members of my immediate family, no one was aware that this music, or this album even existed ... even though it existed so deeply to me."

Antonoff's inner circle included producer John Hill (M.I.A., Jay Z, Shakira) and founding Depeche Mode member Vince Clarke, both of whom worked on the album, not to mention famous friends Taylor Swift and Hayley Williams, who gave him feedback on Bleachers' music, and may have had a hand in selecting "Get Better" as the first single.

"I sent Taylor and Hayley the song a couple weeks ago, and was like ...

Mariah Carey Is ‘Ready’ To Drop Her Album — Here’s Why We Had to Wait

It's been more than four years since Mariah Carey released an album but that doesn't mean she hasn't been keeping busy.

The powerhouse diva has had her hands full with twins Roc and Roe, a.k.a. Dem Babies, and a season judging "American Idol." But now she's back and ready to give her Lambily the music they've been waiting for.

Carey stopped by MTV News last week to premiere the video for her new single, and while she was here she told MTV correspondent Sway all about her still-untitled 14th studio album, due out May 6.

"The album itself was always most important because I wanted to make sure that it was a journey that was representative of who I am and what I've been through over the past three years," Carey explained.

The R&B songstress has been teasing this album, the follow-up to 2009's Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, for quite some time: There have been four different release dates ranging from late 2012 to July 2013.

"It was just something where I felt like, 'I'm not ready,' " Carey said of the album delays. "I don't want to throw this [out there] because I have 14 or 15 songs or however many songs. I can say, 'Here's your album,' and there are very personal songs on there, but I wanted it to be a complete journey."

For this LP, Carey teamed up with longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri, Rodney Jerkins and producer Hit-Boy. The journey kicked off last year when she released the single (featuring Miguel), and the follow-up, " Read More →

We Made ‘Gravity’ Better With Kate Upton In A Zero-G Bikini

Best Picture contender "97 percent fresh rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes and more breathless accolades than any film in recent history. Director Alfonso Cuarón pioneered new technology to make lead actress Sandra Bullock, now nominated for an Academy Award for her work in the film, look as if she was truly drifting untethered through space.

There's been one major technological advance since the release of "Gravity," though: Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kate Upton went to space.

OK, well, she didn't really go to space — she was shot up in one of those super-high altitude planes that go so high the poor souls inside are subjected to short periods of extremely low gravity. That's right, the famed vomit comet, used for training astronauts, filming bits of "Gravity" and now making Kate Upton look fan-effing-tastic in a bikini.

Why not just do what Cuarón couldn't and sub in Upton for a few plays on the "Gravity" poster? There we go.

Last year, Sports Illustrated put Upton on Antarctica for the iconic swimsuit shoot. We put her in "Gravity." Where will Zero-G Upton go next? That's entirely up to (upton) you.
