I Love It!: Kings Of Leon, Icona Pop, Jared Leto Headed To 2013 MTV EMA

"I love it" — that's what all the Icona Pop fans will be saying now that we know the Swedish duo has been added to the 2013 MTV EMA performer lineup, along with Kings of Leon on November 10.

That's right, in addition to a ton of prestigious awards, MTV will also be featuring Icona Pop for the first time ever, fresh off of a fast-paced year that saw the duo's single "I Love It" achieve platinum status in a slew of countries (multiplatinum in many). The women are also nominated for three EMA.

Kings of Leon return to the show for their second appearance, after releasing their new album, Mechanical Bull, a record that MTV News' own James Montgomery said "harkens back to their hard-charging (and even harder-partying) heyday while still conceding to their recent run as Grammy-winning, arena-filling rock stars."

Icona Pop and Kings of Leon join previously announced performers Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Snoop Dogg, Afrojack, Imagine Dragons, The Killers and Katy Perry hitting the MTV EMA stage for the awards show airing Sunday, November 10 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.

Of course, awards will also be given out at the show, which requires presenters, three of which have just been added: Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto, Rita Ora and singer/actress and Best PUSH nominee Bridgit Mendler. Other presenters include Iggy Azalea, Ellie Goulding, Carice van Houten and Colton Haynes, intergalactic MC Redfoo, backstage host Ariana Grande and special guest Ron Burgundy of "Anchorman 2."

Mariah Carey And Nas’ Collaboration Is So Good You’ll ‘Feel’ It

Earlier this year Mariah Carey teased a summer release for her latest album, then titled The Art of Letting Go, but she eventually delayed the date to properly complete the record. Some of those finishing touches on the LP will include completing her new collaboration with Nas — and possibly even linking up with two much younger collaborators.

Back in September, Mariah tweeted a photo of herself in the studio with Nas, whom she worked with on "Thank God I Found You (remix)," and their reunion sounds promising.

"We have yet to finish our collaboration but it's one of people's favorite records, even though it's nowhere near finished, and even though it's not at that [right] place yet," Carey told MTV News, adding that she's so focused on the current project that it's difficult to even compare it to the last time she recorded with the Queensbridge rapper.

"It's gonna be dope, I could tell you that," her longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri added, even putting in a call to Nas during the interview to get an update on their schedule.

And Nas isn't the only one Mariah has been spending quality time with in the studio. Instagram photos over the past few weeks have revealed that she's also been at work with producers that include Mike Will Made It, Hit-Boy and Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins.

"[The album's] sound is varied in terms of textures and in terms of the lyrics," she explained. "A lot of songs are [very] different from one another, but there's something that's similar in terms of all ...

Kanye’s Yeezus Pop-up Shop: Take A Peek Inside!

Kanye West is a product person, but the rapper/producer has also made his way delivering one-of-a-kind experiences to fans. 'Ye's current Yeezus Tour is full of them — there's his mountainous stage prop, Jesus Christ representation and his punk-inspired merchandise — and they're all up for sale at his new Los Angeles pop-up shop.

On Monday (October 28) MTV News sent a reporter to the Yeezus Tour pop-up shop which sits at 8422 Melrose Avenue, right next door to his Kardashian family-in-law's boutique Dash. The outside of the shop is completely white, making it impossible for passersby to see inside from the sidewalk. Once inside, Yeezy aficionados can find the same merch that the rapper sells inside the arenas he's performing at. The front part of the space is spacious and clean, keeping up with the same minimalist theme that 'Ye has been championing during the promotion of his Yeezus album. The merch that sits in the back of the store, however, give off a punk rock and/or metal vibe.

A confederate flag stitched with the words "I Ain't Coming Down" hangs above a red dirt bike. The same theme appears on $35 T-shirts shirts with skulls and a list of the 25 cities that Kanye will hit on this current tour run. There are also confederate themed tote bags which fetch $20.

If the confederate theme isn't your thing, Team 'Ye offers other looks. One T has a picture of the grim reaper holding a bouquet of roses, and another shows a skeleton draped in a traditional Native American ...

Eminem And Rihanna Unleash ‘The Monster’: So Good It’s Scary

The first time Eminem and Rihanna hooked up, they drove fans nuts with their #1 record, "Love the Way You Lie." On Monday (October 28), the hitmakers clocked in another duet that's sounds sure to drive fans crazy.

"The Monster" begins with acoustic guitar plucks and an on-the-money hook from Rih. "I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed/ Get along with the voices inside of my head/ You trying to save me, stop holding your breath," she sings on the track, which debuted on Shade 45 this afternoon. "And you think I'm crazy, well that's nothing."

The pop-bounce of Em's new The Marshall Mathers LP 2 single may be a little different from what fans are used to hearing from the Detroit rapper, but the subject matter isn't. Once again, Marshall finds himself coming to grips with the fame that he's accumulated since he dropped his major label debut, The Slim Shady LP, in 1999.

Fourteen years later, the superstar MC still hasn't gotten used to it all. "I wanted the fame but not the cover of Newsweek/ Oh well, guess beggers can't be choosy," Em says, kicking off his first verse with a reference to his October 2000 magazine cover.

As much as Em battles with the world around him, he acknowledges the beast within on the song. He also throws a nod to unsung 1980s hip-hop heroes Ultramagentic MCs. "Kooky as Kool Keith," he says, shouting out the group's standout member and noted rap weirdo.

Em raps that he hopes to one day lead a normal life, ...

Why One Direction ‘Freaked Out’ When They Heard ‘Story Of My Life’

Need a good cry? Well, One Direction officially released their latest Midnight Memories single, to iTunes on Monday (October 28). And the folk-inspired ballad has Directioners shedding tears.

One part Mumford & Sons and five parts 1D, the track was written by Jamie Scott of Grafitti6 with John Ryan, Ed Drewett and producer Julian Bunetta. Scott explained to MTV News that everyone involved had one motto when they sat down to record the tune: "Let's just kind of write a song the guys can really dig and take this record to a new place."

As soon as 1D heard it, he added "they freaked out and finished the song with us. It's always good to have their kind of input on lyrics and stuff just to make sure they're really singing what they're singing about." While the guys aren't new to acoustic ballads (they released last year), "Story" feels even more folk-heavy than previous efforts, but Scott says the guys have the talent to pull it off.

"It's not that hard a thing to do because the boys have really good voices, they've all got very different voices. Harry [Styles'] rasp is something that you can always lean towards... All the boys have such a great sound themselves," he said. "For instance the demo that we played the boys sounds a lot more folky than it does now. That's what amazing about their voices [when they record it] straight away it sounds like them."

With lines like "She told me in the morning she don't feel the ...

Juicy J, Pop’s Go-To Rap Guy Says: It Must Be The ‘Swag’

If Juicy J's career would've sputtered out after his group Three Six Mafia won their Oscar in 2006, his rap career still would've been applauded. The win was a definite highlight for Juice and the group, who haven't put out an album since 2008, but these days, the rapper/producer and purveyor of all things trippy has enjoyed a new life as rap's go-to pop guy.

He was the only feature on Katy Perry latest album Prism, — where he appears on the synthy and subdued — and he rapped alongside Miley Cyrus on Mike Will Made It's "23." In fact, this year alone Juice has collaborated with Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, Ke$ha, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Cher Lloyd, will.i.am and Passion Pit — giving him a rap-pop that we typically associate with rappers like Jay Z and Kanye West.

"I put together — I guess — the right lyrics and the right metaphors and whatever people wanna hear," Juicy told MTV News via Skype on Wednesday. "I dunno, I just do me. I just go in the studio and do me and I think people might've been fans back in the day of my older stuff as well as my new stuff now. They just might like the swag or something."

But Juicy is no Johnny-come-lately. his relationship with Timberlake starts in their native Memphis, Tennessee, and dates back to JT's 2006 multiplatinum LP Future Sex/Love Sounds, where the rapper appeared on "Chop Me Up," along with his Three Six partner DJ Paul. Justin returned the favor this ...

‘Vampire Academy’ Stars Play ‘F—, Marry, Kill’ With Your Favorite Bloodsuckers

Here at MTV News, we like to celebrate Halloween with tricks and treats, hence our latest episode of After Hours with Josh Horowitz. The host's featured guests were co-stars Lucy Fry and Zoey Deutch, so it seemed only fitting to play a couple rounds of "F---, Marry, Kill: Vampire Edition." (Or, as Fry preferred, "Snuggle, Marry, Kill.)

First up, the handsomest of the handsome bloodsuckers: Edward Cullen from "Twilight" (played by Robert Pattinson), Eric Northman from "True Blood" (played by Alexander Skarsgard) and Damon Salvatore from "The Vampire Diaries" (played by Ian Somerhalder).

Deutch handled this round (as Fry was still learning the rules), coyly saying she'd snuggle Skarsgard, marry Pattinson and begrudgingly kill Somerhalder.

"I don't really feel passionate about any of them," co-star Fry said with a giggle.

Next up, Horowitz offered up a trio of more seasoned vamps: Louis de Pointe du Lac from "Interview With the Vampire" (played by Brad Pitt), Barnabas Collins from "Dark Shadows" (played by Johnny Depp) and Count Chocula, whom you likely recognize from your supermarket's cereal aisle.

After declaring she'd marry Count Chocula, Deutch left the final two bachelors to Fry.

"Brad was really good in that one," Fry demurred. "I like that character. I really fell for that. Poor vampire. He just wants to eat the pigeons."

Which left Fry murdering Johnny Depp.

"You have that on you now," Deutch declared.

"Vampire Academy," co-starring Sarah Hyland, Gabriel Byrne and Olga Kurylenko, opens February 14, 2014.

Jared Leto On ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ Acclaim, The Future Of Thirty Seconds To Mars

Jared Leto's transgender turn in has already earned the erstwhile actor heaps of acclaim ... a trend that only looks to continue as Hollywood heads into award season, with Leto's role generating serious Oscar buzz.

And while critics have welcomed his return to acting, others may be wondering what it means in relation to his other job: fronting Thirty Seconds To Mars. So, when Leto stopped by the MTV Newsroom, we decided to ask if his commitments to the film may have superseded his dedication to the band.

"Not at all. It's actually worked out great," Leto said. "The biggest challenge when you do a lot of things is just finding the time to do them and do them well, so there's always a battle, friction with time. But it's worked out perfectly so far."

Leto added that Mars' schedule is already booked until well into 2014, and let the Echelon know that they're continuing to book shows beyond that, too. Seems he's more than willing to both promote "Buyers Club" and maintain his focus on the band that's been his passion for more than a decade now.

"We're committing to tours next year, deep into next year," he continued. "I'm not in any rush [to do another film]. I never wanted to make the most films. I just wanted to make the most interesting."

Ironically, Leto said that it was Mars' success that actually led him to consider returning to film. He hadn't even read a script since finishing the 2009 sci-fi epic "Mr. Nobody," though after touring the world with ...
