Michael Bay’s Attacker Used WHAT As A Weapon?!?

As if a story about blockbuster director Michael Bay getting attacked on set in Hong Kong wasn't strange enough, an official statement from Paramount, the studio behind "Transformers: Age of Extinction" clarified that the actual events were much, much weirder.

Earlier Thursday (October 17), reports hit the web that claimed three men were arrested in Hong Kong after one attacked and allegedly hit Bay, but the studio has since responded to those stories and explained that Bay wasn't hit at all. Paramount claims that Bay "wrested" his attacker's weapon — an air conditioning unit — without suffering any injury.

The official statement from Paramount follows:

"Contrary to several erroneous news reports made today, Bay did not get hurt in a fight on set. The production company did have a bizarre encounter with a man (allegedly under the influence of a narcotic substance) who was wielding an air conditioning unit as a weapon. The man, who had earlier accosted several other crew members, rushed onto the set in Quarry Bay and swung the air conditioning unit directly at Bay's head. The director ducked and wrested the air conditioner from his attacker, preventing what could have been a serious accident. The company's security team quickly stepped in and subdued the assault. The police, who also scuffled with the assailant and two of his companions, ultimately arrested the three men. No one on the cast or crew was injured and the production immediately resumed filming without further incident."

All of this occurred during the production's first day of shooting in the country. Other locations ...

Ke$ha On Fan-Leaked Demos: ‘I Don’t Even Know Where They Get This Sh–!’

Attention, Ke$ha fans currently releasing her early demos: She appreciates your enthusiasm ... even if she's a bit mystified by it.

"They're so crazy; I love them. I live for them!" she laughed. "I have songs leak all the time, because I've written like, hundreds and hundreds of songs, and my fans somehow find them on the Internet, somewhere — I don't even have them — and they put them around. I love them for that; I'm excited the world gets to hear things that didn't make the record."

The most recent songs to make the rounds are "Dirty Liar" and "First Love," which fans behind the "Free Ke$ha" movement leaked earlier this week, in the hopes of convincing Ke$ha to sever ties with her producer, Dr. Luke. Though, to hear her talk about the songs, you get the feeling they represent her past, rather than her future.

"Those are so old. 'Dirty Liar' is from when I was, like, 17," Ke$ha said. "It's so weird; I don't even know where they get this sh--! I don't even have a computer that has that on it. 'First Love,' I don't think I even finished that one ... I just have written so many songs."

In fact, Ke$ha's still not sure where she'll go with the follow-up to her Warrior album — "I recently got my heart broken, so right now, I'm using that as inspiration," she explained — though she does point to the countrified-strains of her team-up with Pitbull, as a potential starting point for the ...

Prince Throws A PJ Party: Four Pranks We’re Planning To Pull

Party at Prince's house, guys! Pajama party, that is. That's right, Prince is continuing his obsession with breakfast and all that comes before by throwing an all-night party at his home and recording complex Paisley Park Studios this weekend — and everyone is invited.

Prince has been pulling out the stops in support of new material from 3rdEyeGirl project, releasing new songs and videos via the band's website and, earlier this month, playing another show at his home with both 3rdEyeGirl and New Power Generation.

Saturday's sleepover-themed show seems a bit more elaborate, though. Titled "The Breakfast Experience Pajama Dance Party" — in honor, likely, of his single "Breakfast Can Wait" — the party kicks off at 2 a.m. at Prince's Minnesota home and requires partygoers to "dress 2 impress — keep it classy!" according to the flyer. The show costs a suggested donation of $50 and is sure to be packed — the last event of its ilk drew nearly 2,000 people, according to NME. And with that many people in attendance at what is essentially a giant slumber party, we imagine there will be plenty of pranks and hijinx going down.

In honor of Prince's parents finally letting him have a real-life PJ party with all the fixings, MTV News assembled a list of four fun activities Prince and the assemblage can partake in:

1. Freeze Prince's Blouse
Just wait until the Purple One is all tuckered out from singing and whatnot and safely in his PJs. Once he's conked out, you simply procure his blouse, dip it in ...

‘Star Trek: Khan’ Finally Answers Why Benedict Cumberbatch Was So White In ‘Darkness’

Way back in May, when it was finally revealed that Benedict Cumberbatch would be playing the villainous Khan Noonien Singh in "Star Trek Into Darkness," fans cried foul.

The character was first played by Mexico-born Ricardo Montalban in "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan," as well as back on the original "Star Trek" TV show. Now, long after the cries of "whitewashing" have died down to a whimper, a new in-canon comic book released this week seeks to explain just how Khan went from Latino, to very, very Caucasian.

"Star Trek: Khan #1," released in comic-book stores Wednesday by IDW Comics, takes place right before the end of "Star Trek Into Darkness," specifically between the scene where Kirk wakes up in the hospital after "dying," and Cumberbatch's Khan is shown to be cryogenically re-frozen. The comic kicks off at the trial of Khan, with Starfleet officers showing off a picture of Montalban's Khan and asking why Cumberkhan "looks nothing like him." Khan then jumps into his backstory, in order to reveal the truth.

That's when Khan's ethnicity gets even more confusing, and writer Mike Johnson (along with "Star Trek" movie writer and story consultant on the comic Roberto Orci) pay homage not just to the movies and original series, but also Khan's original conception. In the original "Star Trek" TV series, Khan wasn't Caucasian or even Latino: He was from Northern India. In the comic, we learn that Noonien Singh was an orphan from the streets of India, kidnapped into a eugenics program and built into a super-smart super-strong super-human. ...

‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Anticipation Killing You? Here’s 5 Erotic Novels To Satisfy You

With actor Charlie Hunnam pulling out as male lead for the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie, it's going to be a long, hard wait until we find out who will fill the waiting hole he's left in the production.

And while we've been teased and tickled by possible replacements, we need something to relieve the tension. Here are MTV News' suggestions for five erotic novels you'll want to get off the shelves, ASAP:

"Bared to You," by Sylvia Day If you're a huge, throbbing fan of "Fifty Shades," why not check out the first book in Sylvia Day's series of BDSM novels? In fact, they're basically the same thing: Where "Fifty Shades" was "Twilight" fan-fiction, Day's "Crossfire" series is, no joke, "Fifty Shades" fan-fiction. Here's hoping someone writes fan-fiction for "Crossfire," which turns the male lead into a vampire, and we get some sort of fiction-fueled ouroboros.

"The Story of O," by Pauline Reage The prototype for "Fifty Shades," Reage's (a pseudonym, by the way) classic tome follows a Parisian photographer who desperately wants to be dominated and debased. Like "Fifty Shades," O is less about the sex, and more about what someone will do for love: O just wants to make her lover happy, despite deriving no pleasure of her own. Actually, "Fifty Shades" is all about the sex, so never mind.

"Lolita," by Vladimir Nabokov The thrust of this classic novel is that a grown man — Humbert Humbert — becomes obsessed with the ridiculously under-aged Lolita. Those only familiar with wish-fullfillment fantasies like "Fifty Shades" will be shocked, ...

‘Glee’ To Take Its Final Bow, Ending Next Season

The fifth season of "Glee" may have only premiered just weeks ago, but show creator Ryan Murphy already has its season six series finale in mind.

Murphy has confirmed to TV Line that the show will end its successful run after season six, which it was renewed earlier this year. He notes that he's had to rethink how he wants to end the Fox series after Cory Monteith died, since Monteith's character, Finn Hudson, was expected to play a major role in its conclusion.

"The final year of the show, which will be next year, was designed around Rachel and Cory/Finn's story," he said. "I always knew that, I always knew how it would end. I knew what the last shot was, he was in it. I knew what the last line was, she said it to him. So when a tragedy like that happens, you sort of have to pause and figure out what you want to do, so we're figuring that out now."

Murphy added, "I have a good idea. I'm going to tell the studio and the network [in a week] how after Cory's unfortunate passing we can end the show that I think is very satisfactory. And kind of in his honor, which I love."

The show paid tribute to Monteith and Finn last week during the goodbye episode titled "The Quarterback" and will be on hiatus due to baseball playoffs until November 7.

When the show returns, it will welcome Adam Lambert to the mix and Demi Lovato will be back for more action in ...

Lorde’s Looking To ‘Pour It Up’ With Rihanna

Lorde is quickly learning that, if you can score a #1 hit in the U.S., the world is your oyster.

Yes, as begins its third week atop Billboard's Hot 100 chart, the 16-year-old sensation is beginning to reap the benefits of stateside success ... like rubbing elbows with members of the pop elite.

"I've heard from lots of people — almost too many to mention! But Dr. Luke was particularly impressive," she says in a new interview with Clash magazine. "It's like 'You're Dr. Luke, You're like Rambo. He's pop royalty. I imagine him living in some ice palace with Nordic maidens and wind chimes. He's cool. I find what he does so fascinating." Lorde didn't say if she plans on actually working with the Good Doctor any time soon, though she did tell the magazine that, these days, she's becoming increasingly interested in writing for other artists, and revealed her wish list of potential collaborators. And though she still jokingly refers to herself as she's definitely looking to clean herself up, and cash in on some of her newfound clout. "I haven't written for other artists yet, but I definitely want to," she said. "Obviously, lyrics are a huge part of my music, and they're so personal to me, so ... it'll be such a challenge to step out of my body. I can't wait. Rihanna would be fun to write for because she's done everything. And I'd love to write for — or with — Ellie Goulding, actually."
