‘Young Avengers,’ Anyone? Five Marvel TV Shows They Can’t Refuse

Days after word comes down the line that ABC has ordered a full season of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," there's talk that Marvel will continue to expand its presence on the small screen.

Deadline reported that Marvel is quietly shopping around a package of four drama series and a miniseries to various cable and VOD outlets, including Amazon and Netflix, but like everything associated with the studio, not much else is known.

Since "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." has been largely hit-and-miss with critics and audience sizes, we have a few suggestions for Marvel to choose from if they want a bona fide TV hit.

"Agent Carter"
Here's the obvious choice and also the one that's probably going to happen. After the premiere of the latest Marvel One Shot on the "Iron Man 3" Blu-ray, which featured Hayley Atwell as Steve Rogers' WWII-era love interest as a founding member of S.H.I.E.L.D., interest in continuing her story rose, leading Marvel to begin development on a series. While the story could veer too close to "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." territory, there's so much potential here that it's hard to say no. It would give Marvel its first lead female protagonist, and the show could feature Dominic Cooper as Iron Man papa, Howard Stark.

"Heroes for Hire"
Before "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." was confirmed as the first television series that Marvel planned, there were rumors — or more likely wishful thinking — that the program would follow this two-man hero team. Luke Cage and Iron Fist would make for a great small-screen hero duo since their powers can be recreated believably on a ...

Catfish’s Michael Fortunato Dead At 26

A subject of MTV's "Catfish" series, Michael Fortunato, died in Hartford, Connecticut, Saturday from a pulmonary embolism, MTV News has learned. The 26-year-old New Jersey native starred in the "Ashley and Mike" episode from season two, which followed he and 20-year-old Ashley Sawyer as they met for the first time after being in a seven-year online relationship.

An autopsy has yet to be released, but Mike's younger sister, Gena, confirmed the death to MTV News Monday night. A spokesperson for the Farmington, Connecticut, chief medical examiner's office told MTV News that Fortunato died at Hartford Hospital as a result of a pulmonary embolism due to deep vein thrombosis, with other significant contributing factors including obesity and cardiomyopathy.

A pulmonary embolism is a blockage of one of the main arteries of the lung, typically caused by a blood clot that starts in the legs or pelvis and travels to the lungs. Cardiomyopathy is a disease that weakens or causes the enlargement of the heart muscle, making it harder for your heart to pump blood and deliver it to the other parts of the body, often resulting in heart failure.

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of Michael Fortunato," read a statement from an MTV spokesperson. "Our condolences, thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time."

Sawyer, who also opened up about his death, said Mike texted her early Saturday morning saying he was considering going to the hospital, but later wrote that he changed his mind. His sister Gena, 21, tells MTV News that Fortunato left his Connecticut workplace early to drive ...

Ke$ha Is Serious About Haunted Vaginas And Her ‘Traumatizing’ Penis Costume

In just two weeks, fans will be invited back into Ke$ha's wild world when the second season of her MTV series, kicks off.

And, from the sound of it, things are just as crazy as ever. The Warrior singer stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Monday night to tease just what fans will see in the season premiere, airing October 30 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. And for those wondering, the first episode of "My Crazy Beautiful Life" will include an exorcism of her lady parts.

"When the ghost haunts my vagina! You are laughing, but it's very serious," she said. "It's a problem. I know it sounds ridiculous but in all honesty, I believe in all this crazy sh--.So I was told I had dead people in me so I called... my hypnotherapist. So then she said she had to exorcise my body. And then I got a ghost meter to read it, just beeped just at my vagina. It was half off, it's awesome. It seemed to be accurate because I have been going through a dry spell and it was like beeping around and it all makes sense now."

In addition to that very... specific kind of exorcism, the new season of the show will also give Ke$ha's Animals an even deeper look at her kooky family.

‘Ant-Man’: Who Will Shrink Down To Join Marvel’s Newest Movie?

It's official: someone is going to be cast as the lead in Marvel's big screen "Variety, it's down to two choices — either Joseph Gordon Levitt, or Paul Rudd — or possibly a third choice. Or maybe none of those choices.

We don't know a lot about this movie, is what we're saying.

What we do know is that the potential casting of JGL or Paul Rudd definitely tips the direction of "Ant-Man" in two very, very different ways — despite Variety characterizing the two choices as "every-man" actors.

With Joseph Gordon Levitt, you're getting more of a good, honest stand-up guy. JGL has played around with comedy, but a through-line of all of his roles is an earnestness that worked well with, say, John Blake in "Dark Knight Rises."

With Paul Rudd, you're getting a wise-ass, someone who is a bit of a jerk, but lovable and charming at the same time. This, if anything, seems far more in line with what we've heard about the "Ant-Man" movie... In the comics, Hank Pym invents a suit that can shrink, grow, and occasionally allow him to talk to ants. Then that suit is stolen by Eric O'Grady, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who uses it to basically spy on women in the shower — before he takes a very slow road to redemption.

That said, there's a third Ant-Man in the comics, a thief named Scott Lang (who gets name-checked in the Variety article), and he walks the line between total jerk, and earnest hero. He's a character either of these actors might fit well.

Katy Perry’s Prism Preview Hints At Love, Loss And Getting Breakfast In Last Night’s Dress

We've gotten a few peeks inside Katy Perry's Prism
so far, but on Tuesday morning (October 15), the singer posted 90-second previews of all 13 songs.

"In just a few hours when the iTunes store turns you will be able to preview 90 seconds of EACH song on #PRISM. Who's ready for the light?!" Perry asked fans following her "Saturday Night Live" performance over the weekend.

The album, out next Tuesday, contains all the things we've come to expect from Perry: huge, emotional ballads, bouncy pop, playful dance songs and a few inspired dips into musical styles from the 1980s and '90s.

Things open with smash hit
before shifting into the dreamy EDM-lite Romeo and Juliet love song "Legendary Lovers," which chronicles the fantasy-filled first blush of romance. "Go down in history/Go down together/Into infinity, forever ... anything for your love," Perry sings in a feathery voice before a Bollywood-style breakdown kicks in.

"Birthday is classic Perry pop, a fluffy pop confection in which Katy promises to give you the best birthday ever, teasing, "you're never going to be unsatisfied," in a Mariah-Carey-esque higher register. The singer performed the disco banger
on
and has talked about how the urgent, soaring ballad
is one of her favorite tracks on the album.

By now you've probably heard her make-it-bounce Juicy J collabo,
but are you ready for the 1990s New Jack swing of "This Is How We Do?" That girls night out anthem ("This is how we do/Chillin', laid back, straight stuntin', yeah ...

‘The Voice’ Recap: Battle Rounds Knock Out Some Big Steals

The battle is officially underway. kicked off its second level of competition last night with coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera selecting two artists for an onstage singing battle. The winner remains on the coach's team, the loser goes home or gets an opportunity to be snagged up by another competing coach.

While we have seen the format before, a couple new additions come to this season: the new guest mentors and... strategy! OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder (Team Adam), Miguel (Team Cee Lo), Ed Sheeran (Team Christina) and Cher (Team Blake) made their "Voice" debut, advising contestants on how to best perform for their first battle.

Once the singing gloves were put on, coaches got ready with their game faces, and one had thing in mind — winning. Some made particularly strategic moves in keeping and stealing artists.

Here's how the first night of battles fared:

One Coach's Stash, Another Coach's Treasure
The first battle took place between Team Adam's Grey and Nic Hawk (the one that hit on Levine during blind auditions). The duo set the bar high for the night with Tedder calling their rehearsal of Jessie J's "Dominos" a "9.9." Once they hit the stage, Grey's beautiful tone fought to keep up with Hawk's super energetic performance. The coaches were split in their picks with Green and Shelton opting for Hawk. "The value of somebody like Nic is priceless," Shelton said. And when Levine picked Grey to stay on, the country star jumped on that steal in no time."Oh, Adam you screwed up so bad!" ...
