Austin Mahone Promises ‘Big Things’ — And A Drake Collab? — Coming With Cash Money Deal

These days, Austin Mahone is in good company thanks to his association with Cash Money. The 17-year-old VMA winner's crew includes the likes of Lil Wayne, Drake, The Game and, yes, even Paris Hilton.

For those who don't know, Austin was recently a part of a deal that partners up Chase Records — where Mahone has a record deal — with Cash Money Records. Both labels are affiliated with Universal Republic, which plants the "What About Love" singer in the same musical universe as some of his icons.

"It's really cool. ... Cash Money and Universal teamed up to help me and help me grow my career," he told MTV News last Friday when we caught up with him at a Times Square event. "Those guys are just amazing and super nice; very professional. It's really cool to be a part of it."

Mahone has been hanging with Cash Money millionaires for a while now though: whether he was being photographed or getting fashionable in his gig as a brand ambassador for Weezy's Trukfit clothing line. Now, in addition to all the great advice he's been getting from folks like Cash Money CEO Birdman, Mahone's hoping one of those guys might just make an appearance on his upcoming debut album.

"You know, [Cash Money] just told me to keep working hard," Austin said. "They keep telling me they believe in me, and it's really cool to hear that from them, 'cause, you know, I've been a fan of them for years and it's really cool to hear ...

Lea Michele Flaunts Sexy Debut Album Cover Shots

Days after the Cory Monteith tribute episode of "Glee" aired, Lea Michele was back at work, shooting the cover for her debut album.

While the album has yet to get a confirmed release date, the theme of the cover has been teased. That theme? Lea Michele gets sexy! A photo features the singer in black booty shorts and a midriff-baring top. In another look from the shoot, Michele was photographed in a little white dress with cutouts.

While fans will have to wait a little longer to hear what Michele has been cooking up for the album, she thanked her fans for sticking by her side. Her boyfriend Cory Monteith died in July and she has since continued "Glee," premiering Monteith's tribute episode last week. "I'm so excited for u guys to hear my album. It's so special to me. Im so grateful for u all. Thank u for giving me so much love & support," she tweeted.

Lea is hardly the only gleek plotting chart domination. Naya Rivera has also an album in the works. She previously released her feisty single, which features a cameo from her fiancé, Big Sean.

MTV News spoke to Rivera about her music, sharing that she's excited for fans to see what she's like when she's not her small-screen persona, Santana. "It's a personal thing and I'm really looking forward to people getting to see Naya outside of Santana on 'Glee,' " Rivera told MTV News over the summer about the album, which also has yet to get a ...

Elijah Wood Is A Stalking, Scalping, Killing ‘Maniac’ In This Deleted Scene

Ready to get into the mind of a killer? In this deleted scene from director Franck Khalfoun's remake of the slasher, "Elijah Wood finds a new potential victim to stalk in this POV slasher.

In this clip from "Maniac," cut from the final release of the indie horror film, Wood's very polite serial killer chooses his next victim at a makeup counter.

Wood plays Frank, a mannequin shop owner who secretly kills and scalps women in Los Angeles. However, when he meets a young artist named Anna (Nora Arnezeder), he finds his double lives blurring in this film written by the "High Tension" and "Hills Have Eyes" remake team of Alexandre Aja and Grégory Levasseur and directed by Franck Khalfoun ("P2," "Wrong Turn at Tahoe").

One of the grimier entries in the slasher genre, William Lustig's "Maniac" (1980) was somewhat legendary back in its day. It was like being trapped in the garbage dump of killer Frank Zito's (Joe Spinell) mind for an hour and a half, a cramped, sweaty place of sexual frustration against the backdrop of Koch-era New York. One-time Bond girl Caroline Munro had the Anna role in that film, causing our killer to start developing feelings for her even as he continued his murderous spree.

For you gorehounds out there, this was an early project for effects legend Tom Savini (who also had a cameo in the film).

Will Frank find love and shed his killer ways? It's not likely, but you can find out when "Maniac" hits DVD and Blu-ray this Tuesday from IFC Entertainment.

Justin Bieber Shows Fans ‘All That Matters’ On Sexy New Track

What better way for Justin Bieber to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving than with new music? On Monday (October 14), he dropped his new track, "All That Matters," the latest release in his Music Mondays series.

Much like Bieber's first entry into the 10-week project, this track also veers a bit into sexy musical territory carved out by the likes of Miguel and The Weeknd. The Diplo-produced song opens up with acoustic guitar before a thumping mid-tempo beats comes in alongside Bieber's vocals. The track continues the 19-year-old's path down R&B lane. His lyrics also show a new-found maturity.

"Yeah, yeah, what's a king bed without a queen/ There ain't no 'I' in team/ You make me complete/ You're all that matters to me," he sings on the funky track, featured on his music journals project.

Bieber will release a new song every Monday until the release of his concert film/documentary, The film, directed by "Never Say Never" director Jon M. Chu, is slated to hit theaters around Christmas.

As for this batch of new tunes, Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, has made it clear that it's "really for the fans." He added, "You know he wants to show growth, but he wants to speak for himself," he said. "These are very creative people and you can't put them in a box and there's nothing against the normal way of doing things. We will do that again."

‘Gravity’ And ‘Captain Phillips’ Sink ‘Machete Kills’

"Captain Phillips" set sail over the weekend with enough box-office bounty to give Tom Hanks his biggest hit since 2009, but there was simply no escaping the weight of "Machete Kills" never stood a chance.

The success of "Gravity" has put cinephiles in a celebratory mood. For starters, with the exception of a lone "Harry Potter" movie, director Alfonso Cuarón is mostly thought of as an art-house filmmaker. "Gravity" features a smart script, two leads who haven't been in their twenties in decades, mesmerizing visuals that justify the 3D/IMAX format and a wave of positive reviews from film critics. Given each of those factors, industry types have been happily astonished to watch "Gravity" collect more than $123 million in a mere ten days.

"Batman and Robin" star George Clooney was even able to kick his successor's butt thanks to "Gravity," as his star turn opposite Sandra Bullock took the second-week IMAX record from Christian Bale's "The Dark Knight Rises" with a $9 million haul from the format.

Like the stars of "Gravity," Tom Hanks has seen more than a half-century on this planet. True-life pirate tale "Captain Phillips" gave the A-list icon his biggest opening since 2009's "Angels & Demons," landing ashore with a very solid $26 million debut. With the post-summer lull of September in the rearview mirror, "Gravity" and "Captain Phillips" represent some of the more obvious Oscar hopefuls. Both films have been well-reviewed. "Captain Phillips" received a CinemaScore of "A" from audiences who saw it over the weekend.

"Gravity" gave each of its two leads their biggest opening weekend ...

Justin Bieber Sprouts A Manly Moustache In ‘Believe 3D’ Trailer: Watch!

How can you tell that Justin Bieber is all grown up? All you need to do is watch the 30-second teaser trailer for his upcoming "Believe" 3D movie for definitive proof.

Hint: it's right below his nose. "Come here, have you seen this manhood right here?" longtime manager Scooter Braun jokes in the opening scene, pointing to the peach fuzz mustache Bieber, 19, is growing. The teaser is part of what appears to be a new series of sneak peeks from Bieber called #FilmFridays.

Hanging out in a kitchen with some pals, JB takes pride in his burgeoning facial hair, saying, "That's how much of a man I am." He then clears his throat and grunts out what immediately became a trending hashtag, #stache.

Mentor Usher also weighs in on Bieber's maturity, saying, "As a 19-year-old Justin is becoming his own man." And that's when Justin offers up a second clue that he's ready to move on from childish things: a big, hot mug of coffee. "Speaking of grown man, I'm drinking coffee right now," he says.

Mom Pattie Mallette also makes a cameo, talking about how hard it is for parents to let go, but that it's also exciting to see their kids maturing. Cut to a shot of Bieber standing behind a kitchen counter and pretending to walk down some steps.

The brief look ends with a single shot of Bieber working the stage in concert as fireworks explode behind him and the screen fades to black with the words "There's more to his story."

The movie, directed by Jon M. ...

‘Walking Dead’ Season Premiere: Five Burning Questions

Warning: spoilers from the "Walking Dead" season four premiere ahead!

Well, so much for peace-time.

returned for its fourth season on Sunday, with an action-packed episode called "30 Days Without an Accident." The story picked up months after the end of season three, with the prison now a robust civilization complete with community-wide barbecues and thriving agriculture, thanks largely to ex-leader and current-farmer Rick Grimes.

But it didn't take long for the bloodless happy-times to get very, very bloody indeed. Rick encountered a disturbed woman in the woods, an extreme reflection of the man he almost became after Lori's death. Daryl led a supply run that went horribly wrong and claimed the life of one of the show's newest characters. And at the end of the hour, yet another newbie — the geeky Patrick — died in the shower from some unknown illness ... and returned as a walker, ready to devour the whole damn prison.

The premiere gave us lots and lots to chew on. Let's dig in with five of our most burning questions.

How Did Rick Get An iPod In The Zombie Apocalypse?
I mean, I guess Hurley had the walkman on "Lost," so it's not too much of a stretch. More importantly, Rick listening to music, plowing the farm-like fields of the prison, was perhaps the most jarring image of the entire hour: this is the same man who just one season ago was driven completely mad by the death of his wife, the same man who buried a machete in a renegade prisoner's head, the same man who ...

Lorde’s Surprising #1 Hit: What Put ‘Royals’ On Top

It started with a free EP posted to SoundCloud almost a year ago — the meteoric and surprising rise of the #1 song in the country.

Penned by a mysterious teenage musician in a mysterious land, the free jam, nestled among four others, had been played 5 million times. It's a jam that now plays in every bodega in every city around the country, a jam that has been covered by the likes of Selena Gomez, a jam that has inspired a massive Internet battle about its lyrical content. Its content runs counter to all the trappings of pop stardom. The jam in question, of course, is Royals, and the no-longer mysterious teenage musician is Lorde.

"Royals," currently sitting pretty at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for the second week in a row, is a song that has made history — not only is Lorde (a.k.a. Ella Yelich-O'Connor from Zealand) the youngest solo artist to top the chart since Tiffany and "Could've Been" in 1988, "Royals" now holds the record for the longest reign on the Alternative Songs chart by a lead female, usurping Alanis Morissette and her 1995 hit, "You Oughta Know." All this achieved by a young woman who still considers herself

So what is it about this song — an anti-consumerist anthem in a sea of love songs — that's striking a chord with America? What is it about this 16-year-old musician whose MO is "Pop music doesn't have to be stupid" that is placing her at the top ...
