‘The Walking Dead’ Premiere: Here’s Everything You Missed

Sunday night's (October 13) season premiere of "The Walking Dead" was titled "30 Days Without An Accident," but as you can probably imagine, the accidents ramped up — real quick. From zombie attacks to a brand-new threat these post-apocalyptic survivors may not be able to fight, here's every big moment (spoilers ahead) from the episode:

Farm Life
More than anything else in the hour, the opening shots of a real farm developing at the prison show how far they've come since last season. Rick's even gone and buried his sidearm, quite literally turning swords into plowshares. OK, figuratively, but it's still a stark difference from the bleak, empty war-torn prison of season three.

Daryl's Job
As our survivors head off to pick up supplies at a supermarket, we got one of our absolute favorite moments: newcomer Zack has been trying (in vain) to guess Daryl Dixon's pre-pocalypse job. He thinks he's finally got it, guesses Daryl was a "homicide cop," to which Daryl tells him that he's not only dead-on, but that the gig was some, "real undercover sh--." Norman Reedus' dead-serious line reading nails this, and we're still not sure if he was lying or not. (Guess we'll just have to guess again on Monday.)

Bob Stookey Vs. The Wine Rack
There's something off about Lawrence Gilliard Jr.'s Bob Stookey right away, and nowhere is this more pronounced than his struggle holding a wine bottle in the supermarket. He hesitates for a moment, deciding whether he should take the spirit (was/is he an alcoholic?). He eventually slams it down on the shelf, bringing the ...

‘Walking Dead’ Season Four Primer: Relive The Dead

It's baaaack! "The Walking Dead" returns tonight (October 13) for its fourth season, and with it comes all of the sweet blood-spattered action missing from your television since season three concluded.

Speaking of season three ... does anyone remember where we left off? Your friendly neighborhood MTV News team does, having just finished a full-series marathon ourselves over the weekend. Whether you're new to the show or just foggy on the details, we have you covered. Read on for our recap of "The Walking Dead" thus far.

Let's start with the basics: the world ended. The dead no longer stay dead, not without swift and decisive trauma to the brain. We enter the apocalypse through Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), a former sheriff who wakes up from a coma and into this nightmare of a world. Rick leads a group of survivors including his wife Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies), his son Carl (Chandler Riggs), the bow-hunting hillbilly Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), ex-pizza delivery man Glenn (Steven Yeun), former lawyer Andrea (Laurie Holden), among others.

In season one, Rick and his group end up at the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, where they learn that everyone is infected with the disease that brings the dead back to life. In season two, they find salvation on a farm owned by the benevolent Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson) and his daughters Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Beth (Emily Kinney). That farm is eventually attacked by walkers, sending Rick and his companions, new and old, back out on the road.

Season three begins seven months later, as Rick's group discovers ...

‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Headed For More Marvel Movie Cameos?

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." may be only three episodes into its run, but the show was still able to fill New York Comic Con's largest stage with more than 3,000 screaming fans on Saturday. And not only did MTV News get to see this week's brand-new episode, but we also learned quite a bit about the show's upcoming interaction with the Marvel movie universe:

There's More Movie Characters Coming
Most of the Q&A portion of the panel was taken up with whether we'd see more movie characters on the show — like how Samuel Jackson's Nick Fury showed up a few weeks prior — and whether we'd see the Agents showing up in movies. According to Marvel TV's Jeph Loeb, both are a possibility. "If somebody wants to come play, we're more than happy to figure out how to make that work in the story," said Loeb about bringing movie stars like Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr. onto the set.

They're Not An 'Easter Egg Farm'
That said, Loeb wanted to emphasize they're not just looking to set up the Love Boat with superheroes. "There are more things headed your way," said Loeb. "But as Joss [Whedon] says, we haven't created an Easter Egg farm. In the pilot it was important that Cobie [Smulders] play Maria Hill to reintroduce Coulson."

...But Will The Agents Show Up On Screen?
"The longer we're on the air, the greater that possibility becomes," said Loeb, adding that up until 48 hours before the panel, they didn't know if the show would get a full season. The plan, ...

‘Star Wars Rebels’ Reveals New Bad Guy And Episode VII News

A packed-to-capacity crowd filled New York Comic Con's 2000 seat Empire Stage on Saturday to witness their first glimpse at the mysterious new animated series "Star Wars Rebels." Well, it's mysterious no longer, as MTV News was there to witness all the Jedi-related shenanigans. Here's a rundown of the most exciting bits we learned, direct from a galaxy far, far away:

A New Bad Guy
The biggest news out of the panel, which didn't feature any actual footage, was a new Imperial bad guy: Darth Vader's Inquisitor. He's tasked with taking down Jedi on a remote, outer rim planet... An interesting prospect, because all the Jedi were supposedly killed in Episode III. "The Empire has reason to believe there's a Jedi involved somewhere," said Pablo Hidalgo, story editor for Lucasfilm. "There is a presence of Jedi in the show, but we do not want to diminish the importance of Luke Skywalker being the last Jedi."

It's Created By The Guy Who's Working On Episode VII
Simon Kinberg, who wrote "X-Men: Days Of Future Past," and is rewriting the "Fantastic Four" reboot is executive producing the show, and wrote the first, movie-length episode. Bigger news? They confirmed that not only is Kinberg consulting on "Episode VII," but he's also writing a spin-off movie of his own.

The Designs Predate The First Star Wars
The look of the show is influenced not by the movies, but by what came before the movies... The late Ralph McQuarrie did concept art for nearly every Star Wars movie, so the designers of "Rebels" went back to his original art for ...

Katy Perry Walks On Air For ‘Saturday Night Live’ Performance: Watch!

Katy Perry caught a case of retro fever for her performance of "Walking On Air" on "Saturday Night Live." The latest track from the upcoming Prism features heavy synth and lyrics like

Clad in a '90s schoolgirl outfit of a plaid skirt, knee socks and white crop top, Perry sang through a windblown set, making her way from one end of the stage to another while dodging sheer silver pieces of cloth. During a heavy bass section, she danced and twirled through flashing strobe lights.

Earlier in the show, Perry continued her reign as Queen of the Jungle. For her first performance the pop singer took inspiration straight from her . Surrounded by lush greenery, Perry donned a leopard-print number and wavy locks as she showed off her prowess. Band members joined in the act, taking the stage dressed as giraffes, tigers (on guitar), lions (on the drums) and one enthusiastic elephant (singing backup).

Although Perry has previously dropped into "SNL" skits (spoofing "Sesame Street") and even took a turn as a host in 2011, she left her acting chops out of the lineup. Perry was in good company with the show's host, Bruce Willis, who showed off his harmonica skills in the opening monologue, and later gave an impression of fashion designer Michael Kors appearing on the "Lady Gaga Talk Show."
