Brendon Urie Got (Nearly) Nude, Oiled Up For Panic!’s ‘Girls/Girls/Boys’ Video

Generally speaking, D'Angelo's "Untitled (How Does It Feel)" video has become that most rarefied of things: a work so singular that it defies reinterpretation or re-appropriation. Or, in other words, you'd have to be crazy to try to re-make it, and not just because of D's abdominals, either.

Still, Panic! at the Disco frontman Brendon Urie was determined to do just that, with his band's new "Girls/Girls/Boys" video. He just didn't think anyone would want to try with him.

"It was a conscious thing; when we were coming up with ideas, I made it a point to say that. Like,'I've always wanted to re-create the D'Angelo video, almost spoof it,'" he told MTV News. "And everyone was like 'Yeah, we're on board,' and I was like 'Really?!?' Because I've always loved that video, I think it's great."

Of course, no one ever said remaking a classic would be easy. So, like he does on most of Panic's new Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die! album, Urie decided to get into character for the shoot — "It's me playing my manic self," he explained, "my very anxious, apprehensive, tortured self" — and then stripped down. Which is where the weirdness really began.

"Full disclosure, I had my jeans on, but I pulled them down to basically the base of, you know, so you're getting a hint of almost everything," he said. "My butt's hanging out, and they're panning down [with the camera] and there's like thirty people in the room just staring at me awkwardly and they're like 'Do stuff.'

"Then ...

Jonas Brothers Fans ‘Balling’ Their Eyes Out After Canceled Tour

The Jonas Brothers shocked fans when they announced they were canceling their fall tour — originally scheduled to kick off Friday in Pennsylvania — due to "a deep rift within the band." They cited "creative differences" as a cause for their internal discord.

Given that the trio had always shown a united front, even as they each pursued solo projects, the cancelation came out of left field for fans who had intended on seeing the guys during their 19-date trek and also loyalists who've stood by the JoBros since they dropped their debut album, It's About Time, in 2006.

"I can't read any article about the Jonas Brothers. I'm heartbroken. #fangirlproblems," @diana_saravia shared, mirroring the sentiment of many of the brothers' fans.

"Please just tell me that this is all a nightmare and @JonasBrothers are still together and I'm still going to see them on Saturday," @TrueMrsBieberXO tweeted about the canceled tour.

@corinne4695 added, "I literally was meeting the @JonasBrothers in 8 days and they canceled their tour, brb balling my eyes out right now."

Ticketholders will receive full refunds for the canceled dates, but that didn't seem to be enough to console concertgoers. ‏@SimSimaJB wrote, "Just got my refund email........ @JonasBrothers do you hear my heart shattering into a million pieces? </3"

The band had been planning the release of their album, V, after dropping two singles ( and ), but now the question is whether that release is also up in the air. A rep for the band had no further update on the future of the album when ...

Do These ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ And ‘Captain America 2’ Toys Reveal Movie Spoilers?

Want your first look at the character designs for movies like "Amazing Spider-Man 2" and "Captain America: The Winter Solider"? Then look no further than the toys. As revealed at Wednesday night's Hasbro party, in advance of New York Comic Con, we found out some potentially juicy scoop as to what to expect in the movie sequels.

Toys, traditionally, are produced far in advance of a movie, and they provide one of your first looks at character designs and potential alternate takes. As we learned from reps from Hasbro, they were showing off — for the first time anywhere — looks at toys from a line "supporting" "Amazing Spider-Man 2," "Captain America: The Winter Solider," and even a sneak of Autobot leader Optimus Prime from "Transformers 4."

Most exciting was the look at the "Amazing Spider-Man 2" line. We've been hearing rumors that the Sinister Six, a collection of Spider-Man baddies would show up in the sequel, and given the lineup it seems like that may be all that confirmed. A Hasbro rep did clarify that the looks of the figures, which include a new costume for Spider-Man, Black Cat, Venom's off-spring Carnage, The Beetle, Electro, and even the Green Goblin may come from either their movie line or their comic book inspired line.

However, he also clarified that all of the figures are approved by the movie studio, and if not the exact look of the character, at the very least don't conflict with how the character might look in the movie.

That means that though you may ...

Did Jay Z Ban Dipset Music From 40/40 Clubs? Cam’ron Has A Theory

Cam'ron is over his rap beef with Jay Z. Even though the two traded shots back in 2006 with songs like "You Gotta Love It" and "Dig-A-Hole," Killa says he's over it, and when Hov mentioned his name on Drake's "Pound Cake," Cam'ron didn't take it as a diss.

The Diplomats founder does have one question though: Where's the love?

"I think he has more of an attitude with us than we have with him. We had our moment back and forth, but I'm kinda over it. Like if you go to the 40/40 Club you're not allowed to play Diplomat music," the Harlem rapper alleged when he spoke with MTV News on Wednesday.

There is no question, most artists associated with Jay Z's Roc-A-Fella Records proposed--especially during the labels heyday in the early aughts when he, Dame Dash and Kareem "Biggs" Burke ran the label together. On Drake's Jigga took a moment to remind listeners of his golden touch and included Cam'ron and industry executive Lyor Cohen in his list of benefactors. "I've done made more millionaires than the lotto did," he started before finishing. "Lyor made millions, Cam made millions."

Cam'ron doesn't completely disagree with Jay, but on "Come and Talk To Me," a track off of his newly released Ghetto Heaven Vol. 1 mixtape, Killa makes it clear that he earned his first seven-figures before Jay came into the picture. "We made each other millions, that was my reply/ Had a mil before I met him baby, that ain't no lie," he raps over ...

Lady Gaga’s ‘Aura’ Analysis: From Burqas To Bondage

If you've watched Lady Gaga's lyric video for two thoughts probably spring to mind: 1) Wow, looks pretty awesome; and 2) No wonder people have been talking about this song.

Because based on lyrics alone, it's apparent that "Aura" is more than a single ... at least to Gaga. Like which imbued fan approval with life-giving, almost magical powers, she's determined to make a profound point; this time, it seems to be equating pop superstardom (or a celebrity) with religious obligation and subjugation. Though, in a twist, she's admitting that she does these things not because she has to, but because she wants to.

She starts off the song by admitting she killed off her "former" self, leaving Stefani Germanotta in the trunk of a car in order to become Lady Gaga, pop icon. There are, of course, sacrifices to be made — the loss of a private life, the constant criticisms, etc — though, she knows they are necessary, singing "I'm not a wandering slave, I am a woman of choice/My veil is protection for the gorgeousness of my face."

Those lines, of course, bring us to the song's central metaphor: the Burqa. It is, of course, the garment worn by women in some Islamic traditions to cover their bodies in public, an act that can alternately be seen as an example of either pious duty or societal suppression (for simplicity's sake). Of course, to Gaga, it represents fame and celebrity, and as such, both interpretations of the garment apply: she wears the ...

Lady Gaga Unveils ARTPOP Tracklist

Because even the track listing of her albums is an event, Lady Gaga didn't just slap the 15 song titles for ARTPOP
up on Twitter feed Wednesday night, she made the whole thing an event like no other.

The actual announcement was delayed because she had trouble figuring out which one of two songs "cockfighting" for the #12 spot would make the cut. But when it happened, there was of course much pomp and circumstance. "Mary Jane Holland," which showed up in a "Monstervision" video from Gaga in August, won that fight. And, after the slight delay, a group of Los Angeles Monsters who call themselves the LA Rivington Rebels began tweeting a series of pictures of their murals commemorating each song title.

"They've been sleeping outside of the Record Plant (my studio) for a month!" Gaga said of the Rebels. "Sleeping bags, booze & all." And then the show began, with the first image of track one, the
"Aura."

The reveal continued with "Venus," "G.U.Y.," "Sexxx Dreams," the T.I., Too $hort and Twista rap collaboration "Jewels N' Drugs," "MANiCURE" and the R. Kelly collabo "Do What U Want."

The album's title track is #8, followed by "Swine," "Donatella," "Fashion!," "Mary Jane Holland," "Dope", "Gypsy" and, of course, first single "Applause."

A helpful fan then uploaded the entire mural for all Monsters to see, complete with the Rivington crew posing in front of their masterpiece.

Gaga also revealed that she's been celebrating the completing of ARTPOP, due out November 11, ...
