As promised, Justin Bieber has finally kicked off Music Mondays, dropping at the stroke of midnight.

The R&B slow jam finds Bieber hoping to reignite the flame he had with former love. And, no matter how much she doesn't want to pick up the phone to hear his pleas, Bieber isn't ready to let her go. "Don't tell me you're my heartbreaker/ 'Cause girl my heart's breaking," he sings on the chorus. "Don't tell me you're my heartbreaker/ 'Cause girl my heart's breaking (heartbreaker)."

In case that didn't work, Bieber has a spoken word part mid-song: "So what I'm really tryin to say is, and what I hope you understand/ Is despite all the imperfections of who I am I still wanna be your man." That's when the song slows down a bit, breaking into a more mature structure than fans might be used to from the 19-year-old.

But diehard Beliebers probably expected it when he tweeted Monday night, "You will know my words, my heart. #journals."

Earlier this year, manager Scooter Braun told MTV News that Bieber's latest project, music journals, is a game changer.

"So we're hoping the witch hunt [is] gonna end when he really just speaks for himself in the music," he said. "And we're gonna do it in a way that's very, very unique, so when you see 'Heartbreaker,' know it's coming directly from him and don't think [of] the normal 'Oh this is my single and this is going to be on the album' [rollout], realize there's gonna be a very unique way ...

This week, "Glee" will say goodbye to Cory Monteith. During Thursday's episode, titled the cast will join together to mourn his character, Finn Hudson. And, as always, music will play a vital part in the story.

MTV News has an exclusive first listen of Naya Rivera's (Santana) cover of the mournful country ballad, "If I Die Young," originally recorded by The Band Perry. The Grammy-nominated, chart-topping song was written by the group's leading lady, Kimberly Perry. It was featured on the band's 2010 self-titled debut album and would go on to become a crossover hit for the trio of siblings.

"If I Die Young" is one of the many tracks included in Thursday's episode, the last before the show goes on hiatus. In a preview teased last week, Monteith's real-life and onscreen girlfriend, Lea Michele, covered "Make You Feel My Love," written and recorded by Bob Dylan in 1997 and later covered by Adele.

The other songs featured in the episode will include "Seasons Of Love" ("Rent") performed by the full cast, "I'll Stand By You" (The Pretenders) performed by Amber Riley's Mercedes, "Fire & Rain" (James Taylor) performed by Chord Overstreet's Sam and Kevin McHale's Artie and "No Surrender" (Bruce Springsteen) performed by Mark Salling's Puck.

All the net proceeds from the sales of the tracks in the U.S. and Canada will be donated by Columbia Records, Fox, and the artists to Project Limelight Society, an organization that promotes the cultural arts for young people in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. Need a new show to fill in the void left by ? Well, say hello to And while Walter White rose up the ranks of the underworld dealing drugs, the protagonists of "Masters" make a name for themselves with something entirely different.

The drama, which kicked off last week on Showtime, focuses on the real-life sex research of Dr. William Masters (Michael Sheen) and his research assistant, Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) in the 1950s. Co-star Nicholas D'Agosto shared with MTV News that if fans are intrigued by the premiere's sexy antics and drama, there's a lot more to come.

"[There's going to be] more of the risk-taking that Masters and Johnson will do as they delved into the subject," he said, before breaking down what's going to happen with his character, Masters' protege Ethan Haas, who is reeling from the consequences of his relationship with Virginia.

"And specifically with my character, where I end up at the end of the series, I think, will be and should be very shocking to people after they've seen where I am at the end of the first episode," she said. "I end up in a place that you wouldn't really expect. So, for me, it's very fun. I have a wonderful arc and all of the characters have that really wonderful drama, but also really exciting historical, cultural fact."

Miley Cyrus' unruly video for "We Can't Stop" was something of an illustration of what happens when you put a bunch of mutinous kids in a room together to see what unfolds -- which, you could argue, is exactly what's been taking place in Congress in the wake of last week's government shutdown.

"We Did Stop (The Government)," a pre-taped music video from the Miley-hosted "Saturday Night Live," merges these two worlds to create a smart, rebellious and downright hilarious statement on just how twisted things are in D.C. It's quite a bit more conservative than "We Can't Stop," but in political affiliation solely -- it's every bit as raunchy as the original, and in ways, it's even more alarming. The burning marshmallows are replaced with burning $100 bills (seriously, just look at how much the shutdown's costing us), the creepy singing face is replaced by that of Republican deity Ronald Reagan and all the dogs and stuffed bears are replaced with -- you guessed it -- elephants. In short, it brings a hilarious (and at the same time, a truly terrifying) new meaning to "This is our house/ This is our rules."

The two-and-a-half minute clip opens with Taran Killam as Miley-meets-John-Boehner as the Speaker of the House puts in his grill and slicks back his hair as a familiar voice rings in with a slightly different message: "It's our party, we can stop what we want, we can vote how we want, defund what we want."

When MTV News sat down with the Bullock and her director, Alfonso Cuarón, they shared their experiences creating the scene and bringing space to the big screen in a realistic and terrifying way.

Even Miley Cyrus gets nervous. With all of her head-strong confidence, it may have been a bit strange for fans to see the pint-sized pop star second-guess herself as they watched "Miley: The Movement." But like any good friend, Mike Will Made It made sure to restore the singer's faith.

MTV's cameras followed Miley as she made her way to Ryan Seacrest's radio show on June 3 to premiere her Bangerz lead single, Though Miley oozed with confidence on-air, in the next scene, the cameras caught her in a bit of a freak-out as she drove in a car while on the phone with Mike Will.

"She just played the song for the first time when she was on Ryan Seacrest and then she was in the car and I was in my car and she had called me," the producer told MTV News on Thursday, the day after "The Movement" debuted.

"Yo, Mike Willy," she said in the doc, unhappy that "We Can't Stop" was only #181 on the iTunes chart in that moment. "Did we make the right decision? I get nervous, you know I'm having a panic attack."

"I was like, 'Hell yeah,' we already knew it was a banger," Mike Will told us recalling the scene. "Me and Miley, we're real close man, so as a producer and as the executive producer of her album, that's what I was supposed to do. We got so many different songs and her album is so dope. She has a lot of songs that can be singles."

Miley Cyrus may be the creative force behind her movement, but she's not the only one leading it.

During the MTV documentary "Miley: The Movement" Cyrus gave fans an intimate look into her life, introducing us to some of her family members, friends and the high-powered artists she enlisted to help craft Bangerz.

The queen of pop certainly needs no introduction. The in the documentary as she records her verse for Miley's "SMS (Bangerz)."

And Miley reminded us that she and Brit have a lot more in common than just a manager. "The way that I am about Britney, that's the way a lot of people are about me," she said. "She was my first record. I was a lot of peoples' first album. First idol. I'll be a diehard fan for Britney always."

NEW YORK CITY — It's not every day when a high-schooler can walk a red carpet and premiere a film in New York City. But for 84 finalists and their crews, the All-American Film Festival let them do just that on Friday (October 4) in Times Square's AMC theater.

It all started with Andrew Jenks, a filmmaker who has his "World of Jenks" docu-series on MTV. He decided that young directors needed an outlet to show off their work. After a call for submissions, the festival received more than 1,000 projects from all around the world, including South Korea, Japan, South Africa, Canada, as well as 40 states. Movie-heavyweights like actress Kristen Stewart, documentarian Morgan Spurlock, screenwriter Diablo Cody and "Lost" executive producer Carlton Cuse served as judges.

"I wanted to start a festival because when I was in high school, I made these home videos with my buddies and we had nowhere to play them other than my parents' basement," Jenks told MTV News. "Ten years later, I was thinking about it. There's an All-American high school basketball game, all these "all-american" high school competitions, but nothing for young filmmakers... so why not have an All-American High School Film Festival?"

During the festival, the students will see their work on the big screen, get tips from guest speakers and have a little fun with some in-house performances, including a screening of Jenks' high-school short, "Five Second Rule."
