Katy Perry’s ‘Birthday’ Lyric Video Will Put You In A Sugar Coma: Watch

Katy Perry is making us really, really hungry with the lyric video for her next Prism single, "Birthday." It features a whole mess of delicious-looking cakes that I would very much like to smash my face into — I mean, consume a dainty slice of (while rocking back and forth in ecstasy).

A colorful, jangly little video, "Birthday" boasts all the trappings of just that — streamers, jellybeans and lots and lots of frosting, which comes in handy when spelling out the song's innuendo-packed lyrics. Balloons, birthday suit, the cheery innocence of the jam certainly has some naughty bits.

The video — and song — are some of the sweetest fare we've seen/heard from Perry this album cycle, a kind of throwback in the midst of less airy jams like "Dark Horse" and "Roar." Looks like her "California Gurls"-era self is not fully dead and buried — despite that funeral.

Perry released some saucy single art for "Birthday" last Thursday, a retro affair featuring her and her sister at an old-fashioned birthday party back in the '90s. Given that and today's video release, I'm guessing we can except an official video presently.

Given the grandness of past Prism videos — Tarzan-themed the Egyptian romp that was — I except no less than sugary confection perfection when it comes to "Birthday."

What do you think the official video will look like?

The Best Stripteases Of The MTV Movie Awards: Yeah, You Read That Right

When you think of stripteases, you think the MTV Movie Awards.

No? Just me?

Well, these WTF moments of Movie Awards past might change your mind. From Seth Rogen showing off his furry crotch to Joe Manganiello's rock-hard fireman pecs, MTV has hosted some of the racier moments in awards-show history.

I guess what we're trying to say is: "You're welcome."

Leading up to Sunday's big show at 9 p.m. ET/PT, MTV is counting down some of the craziest moments. Josh Horowitz sat down with "Divergent" star Miles Teller to remember those wild days and prep you for the chaos ahead. You're gonna need it on April 13.

Seth Rogen Flashes Fuzzy Privates
We've all seen Seth Rogen's ass, but we never thought he'd take it that far. In 2013, he presented the award for Best Shirtless Performance with Danny McBride and Zac Efron. (Although Efron wasn't nominated last year, he's up for the 2014 award for his chest-tastic performance in "That Awkward Moment.")

Rogen stumped for a new category — Best Bottomless Performance — and shed his jeans. What was seen can never be unseen. But you should watch the furry reveal in the video above.

Rainn Wilson Goes Nearly Nude
Poor Megan Fox. She didn't ask for that. When she presented at the 2008 show, a naked Rainn Wilson followed her onstage, covering up his unmentionables with a big boquet of red roses. Sweet, but when it came time to lift flowers from his crotchal region, there was a collective gasp from the audience. What we saw next was enough to get Wilson banned ...

Stephen Colbert Will Host ‘Late Show’ When Letterman Retires

Well, it looks like the people got what they wanted: "The Colbert Report" will be canceled.

But don't think that means we've seen the last of host Stephen Colbert — "The Colbert Report" must come to an end because, as CBS announced today (April 10), Colbert will take over the seat vacated by David Letterman on "The Late Show."

Letterman announced his plans to retire after three-plus decades in the late night biz last week, to the shock of his loyal fans. Since then, speculation (including our own) has run rampant about who will be the next personality to sit behind the desk.

In a statement announcing the hire, CBS said that Colbert has signed a five-year contract with the network, and that his ascension to host will be effective when Letterman retires at an unnamed date. Those wondering whether the conservative alter ego Colbert hosts "The Colbert Report" under will stick will just have to keep wondering: According to the statement, "specific creative elements" will be announced later, including the show's producers and what city it will film in. (Stay in New York, Stephen!)

Colbert already has the ringing endorsement of one of his fellow late-night hosts. Jon Stewart, who featured Colbert as a correspondent on "The Daily Show" before the spin-off "The Colbert Report" was launched, talked up Colbert in an interview with Vulture last night (April 9) before the announcement was made official.

"He is a uniquely talented individual," Stewart said. "He's wonderful in 'Colbert Report,' but he's got gears he hasn't even shown people yet. ...

T.I. Makes Diamond Comfortable On Upcoming ‘Sisterhood Of Hip Hop’ Reality Show

T.I. has mastered music and is quickly becoming just as effective on the television screen, now that the King of the South has signed on to executive produce "Sisterhood of Hip Hop" for Oxygen.

The show, which will premiere later this year, will follow the rise of budding female rappers Nyemiah Supreme, Siya, Bia, Brianna Perry and former Crime Mob member Diamond, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Not only will fans get a glimpse into the personal lives of the show's stars, they will also get a healthy dose of their professional careers.

"They're allowing people to get a chance to see who we are on a personal level, but they're also giving a chance for people to see who we are as competitors and performers and artists," Diamond told MTV News on Thursday (April 10).

Diamond was once offered a role on VH1's wildly popular "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta," but decided not to appear on the show, which is known for its drama. D feels that "Sisterhood of Hip Hop" is a much better fit for her, and it doesn't hurt that T.I. is involved either.

"Tip and Tiny have been like a big sister and a big bro to me for years. They've always been positive, always been supportive," she said of the rapper and his wife. "For him to have evolved from some of the things that may have happened in his past to where he is now — people looking at him and Tiny like the new Cosbys, so I value their opinion when it came ...

Sure, we know and love all of the 2014 MTV Movie Awards nominees now, but what about back in the day? Everyone has to start somewhere, even if that "somewhere" is a short-lived TV series or under-seen movie. This Throwback Thursday, join us in looking at pictures and videos of this year's nominees when they were basically infants — or, at least, before they were famous.

Best Male Performance

Before he was the Sexiest Man Alive, Cooper started with a small role on "Sex And The City."

Chiwetel Ejiofor, age 20, "Amistad"

Starring in a Steven Spielberg movie isn't the worst way to introduce yourself to audiences across America, and the Oscar nominee made quite the impression.

Josh Hutcherson, age 10, "Becoming Glen"

The "Hunger Games" star first endeared himself to audiences in this TV movie, playing a young version of Johnny Galecki, a.k.a. Leonard from "The Big Bang Theory."

Leonardo Dicaprio, age 15, "The New Lassie"

"What's that, Lassie? I'm going to become the biggest star in the world?"

Taylor Swift Had A Super Silly Cookie Date With An Olympian: See The Pics

We all have an array of friends: sporty pals, pals with which to giggle about dates, bad influence pals, nurturing pals — the works. Well, guess what, Average Joe/Josephine? Taylor Swift has a similar cadre of compadres! Except, you know, they're all way famous.

Her latest addition to the amigo menagerie? That would be Olympic figure skater Gracie Gold. Apparently the duo hung out and "had so much at dinner" and then baked cookies ("#cookiemonsters"), according to the skater's Instagram. Taylor also shared a snap, featuring all the silly faces the pair made after consuming the cookies. Sounds like a pretty rad playdate if you ask me!

Former Taylor besties include a veritable stable of stars: Katy Perry, Kristen Stewart, Ed Sheeran, Lena Dunham and, of course, the best of the best: Lorde, a.k.a. her "deep friend."

The possibilities for awesome-times sleepovers are endless, are they not? Gimme a call if you require a "faceless journalist" friend, Tay! I will clear my schedule for you. And Lorde, if she's free.
