Justin Bieber Busts Out ‘Lolly’ Raps With Juicy J In New Video

Shawty Mane is back! Maejor Ali's video for officially hit the streets on Tuesday (September 17) and the neon-hued clip features lots of sexy dancers as well as Juicy J and Justin Bieber — in his swaggiest mode yet as his rapping alter ego, Shawty Mane.

The visual, directed by Matt Alonzo (Lil Wayne, Far East Movement), has a fairly simple concept. It features producer Maejor (formerly known as Bei Maejor) chilling alongside (the occasionally shirtless) Bieber and Juicy as they rap about hot girls, their prowess as lovers and partying. There are plenty of dancers, popping and locking their way through the clip, throwing a few lollipops up in the air. Though one listen to the track and it is clear "lolly" isn't referring to a sugary confection.

"Lolly" first made headlines back in February (it officially hit iTunes Tuesday), and Juicy opened up to MTV News about working with the 19-year-old singer on the more mature track. "[Maejor Ali] hit me up, man. He's like he's got this record with Justin Bieber he wanted me to do a verse on it," Juicy said earlier this year. "He was like 'Man, I think this would be crazy... me, you and Justin Bieber,' which I thought was a great idea too. It's like people are shocked right now. They're like 'What the ...?' He sent me the instrumental and I did my verse to it."

"I love it, man. He went in, man. It shows he can sing, dance, rap," Juicy added. "He's talented. He's talented." This is hardly ...

Pusha T ‘Never Heard’ Kendrick Talk Like He Does On ‘Nosetalgia’

Kendrick Lamar has made his living playing the good kid, but on Pusha T's newly released "Nosetalgia," the critically acclaimed lyricist shows off another side entirely.

"I never heard [Kendrick] talk like that," Pusha told MTV News last Thursday when we sat down to preview the G.O.O.D. Music M.C.'s forthcoming solo debut, My Name is My Name.

As a member of the Clipse, Pusha has mastered the art of what his fans dub "coke rap," and on "Nosetalgia" K-Dot tries his hand at it with a sinister verse.

"You wanna see a dead body/ Instrumentals from my mama's Christmas party," Lamar spits, making reference to a famous scene in 1991's "Boyz n the Hood."

From there, Kendrick rhymes about his missing Sega Genesis video games, which he assumes were stolen by his aunt to support her drug habit. He goes on to talk about his father's drug dealing and substance abuse over the Nottz-produced beat: "Broke his nails/ Misused his pinky to treat his nose."

The Compton MC finds a way to fit in on the deep and dark track, even as Pusha turns to talking about drug mules and Pyrex pots, which he uses to turn cocaine to crack. "I felt it was really dope that Kendrick hopped in my world — the street life — and [put] his perspective on it," Pusha said.

By the end of his rhyme, Kendrick has come full circle: He messages that his music is "dope," comparing the high quality of his rhymes to the drugs (dope) that plagued his family while he was growing up. ...

Hating On Avicii’s True? Find Out Why He’s Letting You ‘Slide’

The buzz around Avicii's debut album, True, started back in March when he premiered "Wake Me Up" to the massive crowd at Ultra Music Festival, leaving his fans and the EDM community perplexed by the then brand-new country-tinged sound.

And now, with True out on Tuesday (September 17), Avicii will admit he is no stranger to harsh criticism, but this was worse than ever before. "I'm very used to getting bad feedback for stuff. Usually it's the complete opposite, that it [his music] sounds the same and my songs sound the same," he pointed out to MTV News. "For this, everyone's hating on me for doing something different."

Despite this initial reaction, the single's official release was wildly successful and the attitude began to shift toward True. "Wake Me Up" has reached #1 all over the world, and tracks like "Lay Me Down" have already received critical acclaim. The genre departure that first alarmed fans and critics is now setting his LP apart from other collections of electronic music.

"This song, this album is nothing more than me sitting down with some time to spare and actually making exactly the type of music I want to make, with access to all of these people," he explained. Those people include collaborators such as Mike Einzinger, Aloe Blacc, Nile Rodgers, Adam Lambert and Imagine Dragons, just to name a few.

Avicii Wanted To Work With Nile Rodgers 'Way Before' Daft Punk.

He was also sure to clarify that the genre crossovers featured in True are not a marketing scheme in any capacity, but very ...

Beyonce Refuses To ‘Bow Down’ After Fan’s Onstage Tackle

There's a reason why fans call Beyoncé "Queen Bey." Because when it comes to snafus onstage, she pretty much always comes off as regal — whether she's dealing with overzealous hugs or errant fans (of all sorts).

On Sunday, Bey had a bit of tumble during a performance in Sao Paulo, Brazil. While kneeling stage-side to clasp hands with adoring fans in the middle of singing "Irreplaceable," a shirtless man wrapped his arms around the singer and pulled her from the elevated stage. Security quickly intervened, but Beyoncé kept right on singing through it all.

Later, according to USA Today, she even spoke to her bare-chested fan, telling him, "It's all right. ... Thank you, I love you, too."

No tantrums, no diva fits, no breakdowns: Beyoncé handled the situation with the kind of grace that would make anyone "bow down." And this isn't the first time Queen Bey has shown some serious composure. MTV News breaks down three more moments below:

True American Idol
Letting a fan nab the mic is a dicey move at best — something that Beyoncé discovered during a performance a few years back when she handed the microphone to an amped-up woman in the crowd. Needless to say, said woman could not croon like Beyoncé, but instead of reacting with derision, Bey just smiled graciously and shimmied on. Simon Cowell, she ain't.

Ferocious Fan
Bey had a run-in with an entirely different kind of fan back in July: the kind with the sharp, whirly blades. Yup, during a Montreal stop on her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, Read More →

‘Breaking Bad’: The Story Behind The Biggest Surprise

If you haven't seen last night's "Breaking Bad," please do not read this. You'll thank us later.

SPOILERS

We lost a good one last night. His name was ASAC Hank Schrader, and he was a brave man right up until the very end.

When the bullets stopped flying from the shootout that began in the previous episodes, Steve Gomez was no more, and his partner wasn't going to be sticking around for much longer. Despite Walter's best efforts — and at the cost of $70 million — Uncle Jack shot his brother-in-law right in front of him.

In the aftermath of the week's shocking events, Dean Norris appeared with Chris Hardwick and Bill Hader on "Talking Bad" to discuss the episode, his character's tragic death, and how it all went down behind the scenes.

Norris learned about Hank's fate more than a year beforehand from the show's creator, Vince Gilligan. "We originally had the discussion about a year and a half ago, and [Gilligan] told me about what episode he'd be dying in," Norris said. "But at the beginning of the season, he said me down and said, 'I'm going to tell you what happens.' So we sit down in a room. It takes about a half hour, and he really got to those last few lines and I was just like [crying noise]. But it was great, and he knew it. They knew it."

The day of filming his final scene was relatively unceremonious. Director Rian Johnson, known best for "Looper," filmed the end in one take, using three cameras, one each on Hank, ...

‘Insidious: Chapter 2’ Gives Horror Genre Its Sixth #1 Of 2013

Halloween is still more than a month away, but audiences have celebrated scary movies all year long.

gave the horror-movie genre its sixth #1 weekend of 2013 with a whopping $41 million debut. "Mama," "The Purge," the "Evil Dead" remake and "Insidious" director James Wan's "The Conjuring" are all on the list of #1 horror weekends this year. The genre-hopping "Warm Bodies" and "World War Z" could arguably be included among them, as well.

Reuniting the cast, director and vibe of "Insidious" succeeded in more than tripling the first film's debut. was also part of Wan's cast for "The Conjuring," but according to Wilson, "The fact that it's me and James and the same genre is about where the similarity ends."

James Wan is now on an extremely short list of directors who've had two movies open over $40 million in the same year. The only other folks on that list are Andy and Lana Wachowski, the sibling director duo behind 2003's "Matrix" sequels (and the original).

Only last year's animated "Hotel Transylvania" has had a bigger opening during the regularly sluggish weekend, which this year happened to kick off with a Friday the 13th. The $41 million debut of "Insidious: Chapter 2" marked yet another victory for micro-budget filmmaking, as its budget was $5 million.

Despite terrible reviews, the new action comedy from "The Professional" director Luc Besson got off to a decent start. Organized crime oriented romp "The Family" (starring Robert DeNiro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tommy Lee Jones and Dianna Agron) opened at #2 with $14.5 million, the second biggest ...

Move Over, One Direction! Girl Groups Are The New Boy Band

In the mid-'90s, girl groups ruled — from Destiny's Child to TLC to the Spice Girls. And nearly 20 years later, the ladies are set to reign over music again.

While we've seen this resurgence in boy bands, with the success of One Direction and The Wanted, it hasn't been until recent that girl groups have returned to the pop landscape. MTV News gets the girl groups and their mentors to spill on the new movement.

"Everything comes around in a circle, you know. Before we did One Direction, I remember thinking, you know, these bands are going to be big again," said Simon Cowell, who formed 1D in 2010 during "The X Factor" U.K. "Obviously, following that is going to be girl bands and then will be something else."

After taking first place in the U.K.'s "X Factor" back in 2011, Little Mix's rise to fame has been rapid. Not only did their first single "Cannonball" hit #1 across the pond, but their album DNA landed them at #4 in the U.S., breaking a sales-record set by the Spice Girls in 1997.

"It was amazing. I don't think any of us ever expected to ever get in the top five. And to beat the Spice Girls was even more incredible 'cause they are like our idols," Little Mix's Jesy Nelson said. "We looked up to them when we were younger. They've led the way for British girl groups to crack America, and it feels lovely that we've done it as well."

Following in their footsteps are the ladies of Fifth ...
