2 Chainz Breaks Down Work With Ma$e, Beyonce, Drake And More

Riding high on the heels of the release of his third solo album, 2 Chainz made his way to the "RapFix Live" couch to talk about some of the guest appearances that made the LP's final cut.

B.O.A.T.S II: Me Time, released on Tuesday, has been fueled largely by the rapper's collaboration with super producer Pharrell for the album's lead single "Feds Watching." But those who pick up the project will discover a handful of names they may not have seen coming.

"I like doing features that are not so cliché. Something that people wouldn't think of," he explained.

The album features guest spots from Fergie, Chrisette Michelle, T-Pain and Rich Homie Quan, among others. In addition to speaking on the LP's opening skit, which features his mother, the rapper formerly known as Tity Boi spoke on sharing mic time with Ma$e.

"First of all, I'm a fan of Ma$e," 2 Chainz said. "[Ma$e] was someone that people didn't really realize I knew."

The two linked up for a song on the album titled, "Beautiful Pain," which also features R&B crooner Lloyd. The rapper also acknowledges that the title may sound contradictory to some.

"I guess the best way to describe it would be like a tattoo. But it would be a tattoo of a portrait of someone that passed away," he explained. "So you have that pain of getting the actual ink, the pain of having the actual portrait, but it's a beautiful piece of artwork."

While fans may know him for some of his more colorful lines and verses, "Beautiful Pain" is ...

Drake’s ‘Wu-Tang Forever’ Gets Wu Co-Sign And A Few Fans Scratching Heads

Drake released the track "Wu-Tang Forever" Thursday (September 12) off of his upcoming album Nothing Was the Same. The Web's general consensus? A big old "Huh?"

Drake revealed the Nothing Was the Same tracklist earlier this month, and there, nestled between dreamy-sounding titles like "Tuscan Leather" and "Pound Cake" was the head-scratcher: "Wu-Tang Forever." Did Drizzy write a tribute to the Staten Island Clan? In addition to a posthumous ODB, was Wu-Tang hooking up with Drake for their 20th anniversary? The answers to those queries: "Not really," and "Probably not."

"Wu-Tang Forever," which features not RZA and Co. but Jhené Aiko, samples the Clan's 1997 jam "It's Yourz." Drake's song, however is more about ex-girlfriends ("I just love when I'm with you, yeah, this sh-- is on ten") and his prowess as a musician ("It ain't about who did it first/It's about who did it right") than anything Wu-Tang ever rapped about. In short, it's a Drake song — even if he does shoutout the Clan and cop some of their lines. Consequently, a lot of listeners in the Twitterverse were confused by the jam, even if clan member Inspectah Deck has no beef with it. Friday morning (September 13), he tweeted: "GM fam! Woke up to a lot of @Drake disses... WTH? The homey did a song about us right? Is that not love/respect? Or did I miss sum'n?"

Despite that seal of almost approval, however, fans took to the Web, SMH en masse. @VStarchaser tweeted, "Wu-Tang Forever .. This is not making any ...

Shore Store Owner On Jersey Boardwalk Fire: ‘The Only Luck We Have Is Bad Luck’

Hurricane Sandy was the knockout blow that the Jersey Shore wasn't supposed to come back from. But the resilient Shore family on the city's famed boardwalk cleaned up in record time and invited visitors back this summer ... only to see much of their hard work destroyed by on Thursday by a devastating fire
that incinerated more than 20 businesses.

"It's a nightmare, I feel really bad for everybody down there," said Danny Merk, owner of the iconic Shore Store. "They're f---ed, they're completely screwed." Calling from his home in Florida, Merk — the boss of the "Jersey Shore" staff when they lived in one of his rental properties during the series' run on MTV — said his store avoided any damage, but his neighbors weren't so lucky.

Shore Store owner, Danny Merk

"We suffered from the hurricane last year, but we didn't really get the fire," he said. "Those people down there lost everything." In particular, Merk said the beloved Three Brothers Pizza parlor sustained a lot of water damage, a huge set-back after the nearly year-long struggle to get back on their feet. "I feel so terrible for those guys," he said. "[The owner] is not a young kid ... and to do this again? Now he has to rip everything out and start all over again. Sandy was a nightmare and this was the worst summer in boardwalk history."

Merk said many of his fellow store owners were already living hand-to-mouth because of the sharp increase in "day-trippers" and loss of vacationers coming for extended stays. "I was ...

One Direction’s Extended ‘This Is Us’: Five Things We Want to See!

This is one Friday the 13th Directioners aren't frightened about. Not only does Niall Horan turn 20, but the extended fan cut of One Direction's 3-D documentary, , hits theaters.

Considering that Harry Styles said he spent the last eight days working on the new version, it is bound to give fans even more insight into what happens behind the scenes. Director Morgan Spurlock was given unprecedented access to the superstars, and shot more than 900 hours of footage over the course of six months, so there's definitely still a lot of story to tell. But what will they show? We've made our own wish list.

More Backstory

We've already been privileged to 41 seconds of the new flick as they head to the , so there's still a whopping 19 minutes and 19 seconds of still-unreleased stuff for fans to soak in. And, while Spurlock has said he wanted to keep their romantic lives out of the picture, we'd definitely be down to see the fivesome explore their early days even deeper. And maybe even reunite with some of their old "X Factor" pals like Cher Lloyd or Little Mix.

Nude Antics?

Considering the guys told us back in August they'd love to see more of Niall's nipples in a sequel and they also recently shared they once went skinny-dipping together. Let's wish upon a star that the cameras were rolling.

More Tears

There's nothing more real than seeing Zayn Malik tear up when his mom calls him to thank him for the ...

Did Daniel Radcliffe Own The Toronto International Film Festival?

You'll forgive actor Daniel Radcliffe if he appears a little dazed. It's been a big week for the erstwhile boy wizard, who supported not one, not two, but three projects at this year's Toronto International Film Festival.

MTV News' Josh Horowitz caught up with the 24-year-old for a status report before he succumbed to any sort of bewitched sleep.

"I'm feeling fantastic. It's so exciting to be here," Radcliffe said. "I'm tired, I won't lie. To have three films here is not the kind of thing you plan because you can't really make a plan in the film industry, but, like, it's turned out really nicely. It's really convenient. If you can have all your films at the same festival, do."

And, as Radcliffe himself enthused, his Toronto trifecta couldn't be more diverse.

"I think the thing that pleases me most is that they're so different," Radcliffe said. " 'The F Word' is a very, very funny and touching romantic comedy. 'Horns' is this crazy movie about, well, I won't even try and synopsize that one for you. And 'Kill Your Darlings' is obviously one we talked about at Sundance and is slightly better known, is about the story of Allen Ginsberg and the origins of the Beat Generation."

One thing these films do share in common? Let's just say Radcliffe is having a lot more on-screen sex since he's graduated from Hogwarts. (In fact, he even tried to teach our interviewer the fine art of It's a thing.)

Ready to get your fill of Radcliffe? "Kill Your Darlings" opens October 16, while ...

‘Harry Potter’ Spin-off Series: What Will Make It So ‘Fantastic’

When Warner Bros. announced a new film series inspired by J.K. Rowling's 2001 Hogwarts textbook "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," the author expressed her newfound eagerness to return to the "Harry Potter" universe. The author had said she would only revisit the wizarding world for an idea she's "really excited about," and in a statement this week, she said, "This is it."

It's safe to say that her fans are even more excited for it.

There's much that we don't yet know about the film series — which will be scripted by Rowling herself — but we do know that it will involve Newton ("Newt") Artemis Fido Scamander, renowned expert on magical creatures and "author" of the 1927 guide "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." Born in 1897, the Hogwarts graduate spent much of his life traveling the globe to study these creatures in their natural habitats. So anyone who's keenly followed the adventures of Harry and Co. can look forward to seeing centaurs, trolls, merpeople, puffskeins, basilisks, and, of course, dragons.

We also know that, as Rowling noted, "Newt's story will start in New York, seventy years before Harry's gets underway." After so many years of witnessing the wizards, witches and Muggles that live across the pond, the move to America is a refreshing change. And the streets of early twentieth-century Manhattan will be that much more interesting with magic added to the mix.

Rowling explained that "'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series." But the lack of ...

Jersey Shore Boardwalk Fire Destroys 20 Buildings

Months of painstaking recovery work were undone in just a few hours on Thursday when a fast-moving fire ripped through the Jersey Shore boardwalk, destroying at least 20 businesses on the iconic stretch viewers got to know and love through MTV's "Jersey Shore" series. Though none of the cast members were from the area, they still consider it their second home and many took to social media to express their grief.

After the initial shock about the news on Thursday set in, Jenni "JWOWW" Farley wrote, "Stay strong Seaside! Thank you to everyone who helped with yesterday's tragedy. My heart breaks for ..."

Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola was also gutted by the reports. "Just heard about Seaside & my heart is breaking," she wrote on Thursday afternoon. "Prayers to everyone! This is devastating seeing my other home go through this once again."

Almost 11 months to the day that the show's cast and some musical guests gathered to raise money and hope with the telethon in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, local residents looked on in sadness as the fire dealt another blow to the region.

According to the New York Times, the fire began shortly after 2 p.m. at iconic, nearly 100-year-old ice cream shop Kohr's Frozen Custard and quickly spread to other buildings and structures, including Funtown Pier, which was nearly destroyed by the hurricane. Flames also appeared to have ruined a historic carousel, which had been restored and reopened just months ago.

Governor Chris Christie said about 20 businesses were almost completely destroyed over ...

‘X Factor’ Recap: Simon Cowell Gets Pinata’d, Demi Lovato Says ‘Don’t Call Me Woman’

With ratings hitting all-time lows after Wednesday night's season three premiere
, the singers auditioning for "X Factor" in Denver and Long Island on Thursday night's two-hour episode were probably not the only ones sweating it.

Though it showcased some promising talent the night before, the season three opener hit a new all-time low of 6.2 million total viewers, which is less than half the audience Simon Cowell's singing competition posted in its U.S. debut two years ago. As if you needed any other sign that things are a bit dire, at one point the ladies on the panel were whacking a Cowell-shaped piñata backstage and Cowell himself was bullied into doing some off-key crooning.

Which makes you wonder why the second show opened with mostly awful singers. There were, thankfully, some genuine ringers in there as well, including a very promising sisterly girl group and a potential break-out cute boy singer.

Great girls
After the fool's parade of awful singers, 15-year-old Rylie Brown was poised to break the spell with her dramatic ballad take on "Clarity" by Zedd ... until she forgot the lyrics. "So ... you messed up, but who cares when you've got a voice like that," Cowell said. Long Island native Simone Torres, 19, kicked it old school for Wilson Pickett's version of R&B nugget "Mustang Sally," bringing some serious bluesy grit, and attitude, to the stage. "I loved watching that light in your eye sparkle from the second that your walked out," said Demi Lovato, who just wanted to hug Torres.

Tupac’s Legacy Lives… 17 Years Later

Tupac Shakur's lyrics on his reflective ode to mortality, "How Long Will They Mourn Me," were steeped in prophetic poetry, but even he couldn't have predicted that he'd still be such an iconic force in pop culture in the year 2013.

Friday (September 13) marks the 17th anniversary of the day the Thug Life MC was fatally shot at the age of 25 after attending a Mike Tyson heavyweight championship fight in Las Vegas and although that tragic event robbed hip-hop of one of its most promising and revered stars, Pac's indelible influence can still be felt in rap culture today.

Case in point:

Tyga Brings 'Pac Vocals To Life
Tyga used some of the late rapper's unreleased vocals on his controversial single, "Hit 'Em Up," from his third solo album, Hotel California. Although the Young Money representer told MTV News that his version was not a remake of the Notorious B.I.G. diss, the song drew the ire of Pac's die-hard fans.

"I had came across some 'Pac vocals from a friend," Tyga told MTV News back in May about how the track came together. "I was like, 'Man this would be dope,' but I didn't really know how to use it properly. A lot of people think it's a remake of 'Hit 'Em Up,' his song — which it's not a remake, it's original."

J. Cole Forgets His Beefs
One of Tupac's most devoted acolytes, J. Cole, name dropped his lyrical idol in two different songs on his critically acclaimed sophomore LP, Born Sinner. On "Let Nas Down," the North Carolina ...
