Is The U.S. Going To War With Syria?

The majority of the American public (not to mention many in Congress) are adamantly against the United States going to war with Syria over that country's use of chemical weapons against its people. So when President Obama addressed the nation on Tues... ...

Toronto 2013 Reviews: Who’s Already Leading The Oscar Race?

Which movies will be worth your money in the months to come? Which ones will be Oscar-worthy?

In the latest batch of reviews from Toronto International Film Festival, you can read what our friends over at Film.com are saying about serious Oscar hopefuls like "August: Osage County" and "Dallas Buyers Club" and also about the new Daniel Radcliffe rom-com, "The F Word."

What You Need To Know: "A family tragedy has brought the Westons together on the sleepy plains of Osage County, Oklahoma. Three daughters return home to tend to their cancerous mother, Violet Weston (Meryl Streep), an emotional and physical wreck, capable of kind words and then brutal diatribes at the flip of a switch. She's addicted to pain pills, and clearly has been for a significant amount of time, which riles her eldest daughter Barbara (Julia Roberts) to no end."

Should You See It?: "There are so many reveals, and loads of twists and turns, but they all end up feeling desperate. While it's a given that families around the world are complex, and capable of massively strange interactions, the only place you'll find a group of people and a set of conflicts like this is in an extremely overwritten movie." — Laremy Legel

What You Need To Know: "Once upon a time in Toronto, a young man named Wallace (Daniel Radcliffe) met cute with a moon-faced girl named Chantry (Zoe Kazan), which is apparently a name that a girl can have. He is recently heartbroken and spiraling into despair, while she is a rising animator (natch) with an enviable ...

Cher Lloyd Spills On Why She Was ‘A Nightmare To Work With’

It's been more than three years since Cher Lloyd burst onto the scene on the U.K. version of "The X Factor," and since her fourth-place finish, she's released her debut album and her hit single, "Want U Back."

Yet, over the past year, Lloyd has taken a small step back to do some self-reflection, and in that time learned quite a lot about herself, and it turns out, she didn't really like what she saw.

"I was a nightmare to work with," Lloyd told MTV News of her time at the "X Factor." "I was 16 years old and I wanted everything my way and what I didn't understand that just starting out and being in the completion you have to earn your stripes and I didn't earn my stripes and I honestly feel that I haven't earned all of them yet, there's still a lot of hard work to do. I don't want to be the person people don't want to meet... I never want to be remembered as the girl that came in and was rude to everyone and was an absolute diva even though she ain't got her stripes yet."

Lloyd admits she realized her faults after noticing that the media was paying more attention to her attitude than to her music. The British star is now hoping that with her new album, which she hopes to release in November, the focus shifts back to her music, and she's kicking it off with her new single, "I Wish" featuring T.I. The single is a catchy, up-beat track ...

John Mayer Takes Katy Perry’s Semi-Truck Idea For A Spin

Long before we heard "Roar," before Katy Perry took on the VMAs and before we even knew she had a new album on the way, a giant, golden semi-truck started the singer's new era.

With its shiny metallic walls and the words "KATY PERRY ? PRISM ? 10.22.13" plastered across it, the gargantuan vehicle had fans freaking over the news, speculating if Prism could mean new music from Katy. It did, and we got "Roar" as the first single and word that Perry would be collaborating with boyfriend John Mayer on his album, Paradise Valley, released August 20.

Now, with Mayer's album already out, and Perry's still on the way, it looks like our favorite "Wildfire" singer is taking a page from Katy's promotional playbook. In a picture he posted on Facebook, fans can get a look at his giant semi — plastered with album imagery, a photo of John looking forlornly into a cloudy valley, mountains rising on either side.

"Off this week and then next up is South America!! Are you ready for JM??" the caption read. Then it used the hashtag #MAYERISBACK, a tad ironic since he doesn't own a Twitter handle.

We realize that Mayer is probably the biggest Katy Cat out there, but does that mean he's turning into a Copy Cat?

Perry's 18-wheeler made its way across the U.S. before landing in New York City, when Katy emerged from the back to a group of fans. Along its trek, the semi was spotted in several different states, and even got a ...

‘Transformers’: Mark Wahlberg Confirms Two Big-Name Cameos

TORONTO — With high-profile movies like "Transformers: Age of Extinction," Internet rumors are usually ignored by the filmmakers, but for the latest adventure of the Autobots, whispers of an appearance by the fan-favorite Dinobot got an official confirmation from producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura.

But when MTV News' Josh Horowitz spoke with the star of "Age of Extinction," Mark Wahlberg, he wasn't quite ready to talk openly about the secret. "You can't say that, dude. Did you leak it? Did you leak it? You leaked it," he said. "Somebody leaked it, dude. Somebody was on the set leaked it, and it is not OK. It's not cool."

So is that a confirmation of the Dinobots from Wahlberg? Not quite. "I don't know," he said. "I haven't seen no Dinobot, so don't put that on me."

There is, however, a new cameo that Wahlberg is happy to talk about. His kids will make a brief appearance in "Age of Extinction."

"My kids just did a cameo, just scared people in the street looking up, but they did a great job. I was so nervous because Michael doesn't have time for bad performances," he said. "You have to understand; you're shooting a $300 million movie. You've got a lot going on. He's got five, six takes. If you ain't got it, you're done. I didn't want to see my kids get clipped. They were excited about, but they started to get mad at me because I'm trying to over-direct them. It went great."

Wahlberg really appreciated the lengths that Bay went to to make the cameo ...

2 Chainz Having ‘Me Time’ On ‘RapFix Live’

Everyone deserves a little chill time now and then; just ask 2 Chainz, who dropped his sophomore album B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time on September 10 and will pay a visit to on Wednesday to fill host Sway Calloway in on what he's been up to.

The new album is led by the single "Feds Watching," featuring Pharrell. Other features on the project include Ma$e, T-Pain, Lil Wayne and Drake, with production from Mike Will Made It, Drumma Boy and more.

Before the official drop date, 2 Chainz did his best to keep details about the project under wraps, telling MTV News, "When I came up, I feel like people didn't put out their tracklist before the album dropped. I feel like it was an event. When I became this popular I looked back on what I used to like so much about hip-hop, and what I liked was features that you couldn't believe was really happening. Today a lot of the features are kind of cliché and everything is so microwaveable. Everybody's gotta be so quick, so I try to cook mine a little longer."

But now that the album's out, everything is fair game. In addition to the LP album, 2 Chainz also dropped his new — yes, you read that right — so that fans can whip up quick and healthy meals on the go. Catch 2 Chainz on "RapFix Live" Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT on MTV Jams and RapFix.MTV.com. Join the conversation using the hashtag #RapFixLive and send your ...
