The New ‘Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes’ Photos Are Sort Of Terrifying

Superheroes may be overpowering everyone at the box office right now, but the new images from are a reminder that it won't be long until the apes once again inherit the earth.

In brand-new stills that debuted on USA Today, 20th Century Fox reveals vivid images of Caesar (Andy Serkis), now seasoned in his role as the leader of ape nation. Director Matt Reeves has expertly set up the much-anticipated sequel in a post-apocalyptic world, where the humans are grappling for survival after the deadly virus from the conclusion of "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" nearly wipes out humanity.

In one photo, Caesar is shown with a very expressive face, with a red streak down the center of his forehead, signifying that he's ready for war at all times. In another picture, an unnamed ape wields a shotgun, ready to fire on his enemies, which appear to be the five survivors from another still who also have their guns drawn.

Apes can definitely ride horses now as one picture shows them riding out like the cavalry. As it turns out, the MacGuffin for this film is power, not of absolute rule, but of precious electricity. The humans have no energy and the apes have the capability of creating hydra power using their land in Muir Woods. The humans, led by Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke and Keri Russell, try to convince Caesar that they can co-exist with he and his clan, but that proves to be a tall order given their violent history.

After Future And Kanye’s ‘I Won,’ Metro Boomin Is ‘Gonna Stay Around’

Metro Boomin made a splash with his production on Future and Kanye West's new single"I Won," but the 20-year-old vows that this is only the start. There may even be more with Yeezy on the way.

"I've actually never met Kanye, but there's lines of communication," Metro told MTV News. "They told me about him wanting to use stuff. With Kanye, you don't even really know. We don't have a personal relationship yet. I'm sure we will in the future. Everything is from a distance now. That's how it start off."

In addition to sending beats to Kanye, and his already released work with Future, Young Thug and more, the St. Louis native has gotten in the lab with some of rap's other young stars.

"Me and Wale did something a year ago," he said. "We did something hard, [but] it never came out. It was supposed to go on his album, but it really didn't flow with the feel. We still got the song." He added that they may link up again soon, too.

Metro, who began producing when he was 13, also made a fan of Wiz Khalifa recently. "We had a session, me, Wiz and a group out in Atlanta, Two-9, about a month ago," he said. "Wiz pulled me to the side and saluted me on everything, told me he liked what I'd been doing and he f--ks with the movement and everything going on."

Now, with three Future singles under his belt — "Karate Chop," "Honest," and "I Won" — Metro Boomin is eager to ...

Justin And Selena’s Studio Hangout: Here’s What Went Down

Welp, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are back at it again. At this point, we're neither begging them to get back together nor nudging them to call things off. After all, no matter how many Jelena fans have wished for them to be a happy, stable couple, the twosome have managed to take us on many, many diversions. And now we don't know what to think!

That said, Justin and Selena's studio hangout on Tuesday night had us scratching our heads as well. Not to mention that Madison Beer was there too. We can only use our imagination as to what was going on.

Here are a few things the on-again-off-again lovebirds could've been up to:

1. Making Music? Yeah Right...
According to Madison Beer's mom, who shot the snaps from the studio, Selena was just visiting. Mmm hmm, sure, "visiting." In a studio. Likely story! Rumors are swirling that Jelena are working on a duet together, but for now, all we know is that the "Slow Down" singer was just popping in to say "hello."

2. Lip-Synching
Do you remember when Justin, Selena, Ashley Tisdale and friends lip-synched Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe"? What a gem. If only we could go back to these simpler times.

Well, guys, we can, if lip-synching was what those guys were doing last night. Although they'd have to choose a different song. Maybe one of Carly's Broadway belts from "

3. Taking Selfies
That's an obvious one. In fact, we don't really have to imagine this. Because it happened. Proof:

4. Torturing Us With Those Selfies
Any ...

Palaye Royale Shock Musical March Madness With Win Over Linkin Park

Coheed and Cambria, Green Day, Tokio Hotel, Ed Sheeran ... Palaye Royale? Raise the banner to the roof, because unsigned Las Vegas glam rockers Royale are now officially in the pantheon of Musical March Madness champions.

In the biggest bracket-demolishing upset in MMM history, the shaggy-haired, floppy hat-wearing trio from Sin City steamrolled their way through the bracket, taking out such major players as Coldplay and 2012 champs Tokio Hotel before cruising past Linkin Park in the championship game.

In fact, in the end, it wasn't even close, with Royale besting LP by a 63 to 37 percent margin during an MMM contest that saw more than 5 million votes cast.

In victory, PR not only become the first unsigned band to win MMM, they also have the distinction of being the only act to take the title without ever releasing a full-length album. When MTV News spoke to guitarist Sebastian Danzig last week, he said the band were hard at work in the studio recoding demos for their debut, which is not yet scheduled for release.

How did they do it? After beating Tokio Hotel, Danzig gave all thanks and praises to the Council
. "They're incredibly loyal," Danzig said, noting that he'd heard stories of Council members staying from work and school to keep the voting going.

The victory is even more amazing given that Royale beat Vampire Weekend in round one and Coldplay in the second round before getting past #4 seed ...

‘Batman Eternal’ Writer Scott Snyder Breaks Down Three Key Scenes

This year is the 75th Anniversary of Batman, and DC Comics isn't pulling any punches when it comes to celebrating the Dark Knight on the page. Starting today (April 9), they're releasing a weekly comic titled "Batman Eternal" which includes every hero and villain associated with Batman — and promises to redefine Gotham City as we know it.

The first issue's story and script is by current "Batman" writer Scott Snyder, and his frequent collaborator James Tynion IV; but to tackle 52 weeks of Batman, they also called on three other writers for a "brain trust," Ray Fawkes, John Layman and Tim Seeley.

With the first issue now on stands, we talked to Snyder about three key moments in the issue, and what they mean for the series — and Batman — going forward:

NOTE: MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR THE ISSUE FROM HERE ON OUT.

MTV News: Let's talk about that first page... It looks like you wanted to start off with a nice, quiet character moment to open the issue.

Scott Snyder: [Laughs] We wanted to go extremely small.

MTV News: Kidding aside, this is insane. You've got Batman tied to the broken bat signal, a bat carved on his chest, Gotham consumed in flames and a villain taunting him with his secret identity's name, Bruce. It's obviously "the end" of the yearlong story, but what can you tell us about what's going on here?

Scott Snyder: The truth is, it's the opposite of going small. We really wanted to immediately announce the scope, the ...
